The title is a family lunch party. It sounds like a warm and simple gathering but a conglomerate family one is of course special and different from the rest. In one night, all is planned and executed perfectly without any flaw. Seojoon and Minyoung feel satisfied with everything and both can't wait to share their joy with the other family members. Early, at 11 o'clock, the parents and in laws arrive to help the couple to welcome their guests. One by one, the family members show up and fill in the house. Chatter starts to get heard and laughter comes from every corner. As Seojoon and Minyoung talk to one of her closest cousin, his phone vibrates and immediately, he excuses himself. Once he is in a more quiet place, he picks up the call which is from his best friend, Minjae.

"Joohyun is suddenly feeling sick, I'm sorry, I think I need to skip the party" Minjae informs and he sounds so sorry.

"It's okay, probably because of the pregnancy, tell her to get well soon, let's just meet another time" Seojoon reassures.

"Alright, have fun, congratulation once again, bro" Minjae then ends the call.

For one second, Seojoon just stands there and hopes that Minyoung's going to have a smooth and easy pregnancy. Thereafter, he right away returns to his wife and sees his grandma is already there with Jimin's parents and half-brother. He rushes and once he joins them, his grandma pats his arm proudly as she gives her congratulatory. His uncle, aunt and cousin then follows to congratulate him. He smiles and shows his gratitude before he leads them to the other family members. Thereafter, he comes close to his wife and tells her how Minjae and Joohyun can't take part in this event. She is a bit sad as she is so excited to talk and ask so many things about pregnancy to Joohyun. She guesses that she has to hang out in another time.

"Ah, Jimin and Seulgi?" Seojoon asks Minyoung.

Minyoung shakes her head as she slightly pouts her lips. Seojoon then checks his watch and it looks like they need to start without them. Then, right at that moment, Jimin and Seulgi finally arrives as the last two guests. They apologizes for their lateness but Seojoon just says it's okay. Seulgi gives a congratulatory words to both and tells how much she is happy for them. Jimin does the same and there, Seojoon and Minyoung tease them to get pregnant as soon after the wedding take place. Seulgi is a little bit startled with the attack and can't help but blushing hardly. Different from her, Jimin just chuckles as he puts his thumb up and agrees that there is nothing to worry, he is going to work really hard.

"Jim" Seulgi protests.

Everybody laughs at Seulgi because she is such an easy target to be pranked. She asks them to stop but Seojoon evilly teases her more and right now her face completely turns pink. She knows it, that's why she hides her face on Jimin's chest and whines like a baby. Jimin smiles widely as he proudly tells Seojoon and Minyoung that his fiancé is this cute and adorable. It makes them roll their eyes playfully and quickly invite Jimin and Seulgi inside because they can't stand this lovey-dovey scene anymore. Jimin and Seulgi immediately follow behind and shortly they enter the living room where everybody is gathered. Once they are there, everybody turns their sight and greets them warmly with a smile, but of course, except one person, the stepmother.

"Welcome to our little house" Seojoon starts.

Everybody is on their seat and the main characters, Seojoon and Minyoung are standing to give a speech. It begins with Seojoon. He thanks everybody for their time and asks every one of them to give his wife and the baby ton of blessings. Then, Minyoung also gives a word about how grateful and thankful she is. Lastly, she wishes everybody is going to have a great time. After that, they both invite their family members to the dining room which already has additional tables and chairs. They ask everybody to take their seat. Jimin and Seulgi give chance to the older family members and wait in the corner. Once in a while, Jimin comes closer and whispers praises to Seulgi's ear. She gracefully smiles every time she hears his compliments and truthfully, she feels like there is only them in this room. She can see and hear him only but reality hits her when suddenly grandma calls her and his name.

"Here, sit here" Grandma says.

Jimin holds Seulgi's hand and leads her to his grandma. She immediately hugs grandma after she sits beside. Grandma smiles and praises how beautiful Seulgi is. Then, grandma talks to Jimin which he responds with a little cute tantrum because of what happened this morning and makes grandma and Seulgi giggle. He pinches Seulgi's tiny waist slightly as a signal that she needs to stop teasing him like that. Grandma catches it and finds it lovely. She really is grateful that Seulgi is the one for her grandson, if it's not her, she doubts that her grandson will be this happy, will be this alive. They are just a perfect match.

Lunch is started and chatter is still heard here and there. Uncles and aunts ask Jimin and Seulgi about their wedding preparation and they both answer but carefully not to spoil the detail. Seojoon's mother even compliments their wedding invitation, saying it's a great idea to have a hand-written invitation because it's beautiful and heartfelt. Jimin right away gives the credit to Seulgi and jokes to his aunt that if it was his hand-writing, she would say differently. Everybody laughs and here comes the talk about baby and pregnancy. Uncles and aunts say that it's the best to immediately have child or else they won't live in peace as grandma absolutely will keep calling them and asking for a great-grandchildren. Grandma agrees as she makes an eye contact with her grandson and tell him to do a good job then everybody hoots of laughter at the tease.

On another table, Hyorin just watches in silent. She gives no expression but her eyes never lie. Deep down she is jealous of Seulgi's life and it reaches the extreme point. Since the first time she joined this family, no one ever welcomed her warmly like everyone does for Seulgi. Since the beginning, her mother in law always treated her like an outcast, always rejected her and never showed affection, but it's different to Seulgi, her mother in law treats her as a gold, adores her and gives her many things though Seulgi is not officially a part of the family yet. She has it hard but Seulgi gets a free pass and has it really easy. She envies Seulgi so much to the point where the hatred spreads through her heart and turns it black. She knows that her resentment and ill feeling are dangerous but she lets them grow and watches how far they can bring up the evil inside her. She is completely gone mad and she knows someday she is going to hurt Seulgi and take pride of the pain. Seriously, jealousy is such a chronic disease.

After long hours of chatting and bonding, the party is over and everybody returns to their own home. Grandma stays a night at Junjin's mansion and asks Seulgi to come and visit. Jimin rejects as he knows that Seulgi is still tired because of the trip but she says it's okay and grants grandma's wish. Junjin immediately calls the mansion and orders the maids to prepare dinner, but beside him, Hyorin frowns and shows her disagreement. No one notices and no one cares, but Seulgi does and she hesitates. She is aware that it's going to bring trouble but it's too late to change her mind. So, after she is inside the car with only Jimin, she shares her concern.

"Jim, I think it's not a good idea" Seulgi speaks up.

"Why?" Jimin questions. Seulgi then explains everything. The look on his stepmother's eyes and the annoyance on his stepmother's face. She is concerned and a bit scared because of her history with his stepmother and Jimin understands. He tells her that it will be awkward if they suddenly call it off and she agrees. He then assures her that everything will be alright, he will have his eyes on her and will never let his stepmother hurt her. He promises her and seals it with a kiss. She smiles and nods. She trusts him. She will be alright.

Thereafter, Jimin starts driving away and beside him, Seulgi dials her father to tell him that she is going to have dinner at Jimin's house. Her father understands and he also informs about Joohyun's condition. Her sister in law's nausea is quite severe but over all she is alright. It's just the pregnancy. Then they talk a bit about her trip before finally they end the call. All this time, Jimin listens to her and he realizes how she sounds shy when she tells about their trip to her father. It must be an effect of what they did last night and there he has an urge to bring it up and tease her.

"Why didn't you tell your father that we probably will give him a grandchild from the trip?" Jimin naughtily asks.

"What?" Seulgi is surprised.

Jimin chuckles as he quickly glances at Seulgi just to see her blushing cheeks. This woman really drives him crazy. She was so sexy and erotic last night but look now, she plays innocent and turns into a cute and adorable one. There is silence between them as she takes a deep breath and tries to control her expression. After she gets grip of herself, she asks him to repeat. He does as she wishes and immediately she scolds him but contrarily there is a smile on her face. She then continues and tells him if her father finds out, he is going to beat him up and her brother will finish him up. It makes him laughs out loud.

"Oh, I'm scared" Jimin playfully frowns.

Now, it's Seulgi's turn to laugh as Jimin looks ridiculously funny with that expression. They end up laughing together and without them knowing, they already arrive at the mansion. Right away, grandma takes Seulgi away from Jimin and it gets a loud protest from him. Grandma just smirks and ignores him. He nags and pouts but his grandma really separates him from his fiancé. She even closes the door and locks him outside the bedroom. He scrunches his nose as he snorts cutely then he goes to his own bedroom with a smile on his face. He loves how Seulgi is so close with his grandma and how they gang up over him. Oh my, he likes it too much.

In the other hand, inside grandma's familiar bedroom, Seulgi sits on the edge of bed with grandma. They talk about the wedding preparation that will be held at grandma's mansion in Busan. It will be a close and private wedding, only family members, relatives and friends are invited, as Jimin's and Seulgi's request. Grandma sounds excited to inform every little detail that has been done to her mansion for the wedding. Grandma also suggests that it's better to send a little souvenir to their business partner as a courtesy and modesty since they are not invited to the wedding. Immediately, Seulgi approves as it's really a good idea to prevent them to feel offended because they are not in the guests list. She has nothing on her mind so she asks for an idea which grandma answers with either wine gift box or scented candle gift set. Both are great but she loves scented candle more than wine as conclusion she chooses the later. She doesn't need to worry about this matter as grandma volunteers to help her with the gifts.

"Thank you grandma, as always, you're the best" Seulgi smiles and then hugs grandma tightly.

Grandma just pats Seulgi's shoulder then she returns the hug affectionately. Thereafter, she tells Seulgi to go to Jimin and gets some rest before the dinner. Seulgi nods and obeys. She holds grandma's hand one last time and she gives a little tiny wave as she proceeds to leave the room. Once she is outside, she closes the door slowly and turns around to walk to Jimin's bedroom but she immediately halts as she finds his stepmother right in front of her. Her heart skips a beat and drops as there is a sudden fear creeps in. She moves aside as she tries to escape but his stepmother blocks the way.

"Where are you going? Where is your manner?" Hyorin speaks up and she sounds annoyed.

"I---, I just---" Seulgi stutters then eventually decides to shut her mouth because it turns numb.

"Now you disrespectfully ignore me, good job!" Hyorin scolds Seulgi.

Actually, Seulgi has done nothing wrong but Hyorin needs to pick an argument and finds a reason to rage at and verbally abuse Seulgi. She has nothing to do with Seulgi but her ego wants to be fed and her pride demands to be satisfied. Yes, she is just a lunatic. Even right now, when she looks into Seulgi's eyes and sees panic there, she feels madly happy and it pushes her to do more. She lifts her chin up and takes a step closer thereupon she reaches out her hand and grabs Seulgi's hair. For a second she does nothing and just looks down to show Seulgi that she is more powerful here. An evil smirk appears on her face as she proceeds to pull Seulgi's hair mercilessly but before she is able to do that, someone clears his throat. It completely startles her to find Jimin there, behind the pillar and right now he shows her who is more powerful here. She immediately has her hands off of Seulgi's hair and stays away from Seulgi once he approaches.

"This is my last warning, if you dare to lay a finger on her again, it's over for you" Jimin coldly forewarns.

Hyorin says nothing and just stares at Jimin. She admits that he totally looks scary and his gaze is no joke. It's intimidating to the point where she feels threatened by it. It pisses her off and she wants to scream and shout but she holds it back for her own good. She knows that he is serious with his words and if she is brave enough to trigger his anger, he is not going to hesitate to instantly destroy her life. That's why she chooses to leave and swallow her pride. Just for now, there will be a next time and she will risk it all and make them pay.

After Hyorin disappears, Jimin turns his attention to Seulgi. He looks at her as he touches her neck and lets his thumb starts caressing her jawline gently. He worries but she smiles at him and assures him that she is alright. She doesn't lie this time. She tells the truth and it clearly reflects on her eyes. He nods at her and slowly brings her into his embrace. He truly feels relieved. Thank God, a while ago after he took a shower, he decided to check on her and waited near his grandma's bedroom. When he heard Hyorin's footstep, he instinctively hid behind the pillar and witnessed his stepmom's misdeed. He stood there as he clenched his fist. He couldn't hold his madness once he saw his stepmom grabbed Seulgi's hair and was about to torture her. He immediately walked out from his hideaway and ferociously confronted her. He nearly killed his stepmom right there on that spot but with mercy he gave her one last chance.

Then, Jimin tells Seulgi to come with him and he brings her to his bedroom. He asks her if she wants to have a shower because if it's a yes, he is going to call the butler to bring her clothes here. Without hesitation she nods. She is tired and hopefully it's going to reduce her fatigue. He sends her off as he teases her to call him if she needs a companion. She just gives him a flirty smile before she closes and locks the door. He chuckles at her. It's amusing how she reacts differently to his tease. One time she is so shy and blushes hard but another time she is so daring and tempts him with a seducing smile. What a naughty girl.

A while later, Seulgi is finished and wrap a towel around her body. She leaves the bathroom and sees Jimin is on his bed, laying down lazily as playing with his phone. On an ottoman in front of his bed, her spare clothes from her trip sit neatly there and she immediately approaches to get them. He shifts on his spot slightly to have a better look on her. He puts his eyes on her and follows her figure with his sight. Damn, since last night his head only thinks about inappropriate things and it's hard to control his mind. Seriously, he needs to stop and then he unconsciously shakes his head to erase his dirty mind but unluckily she notices it. She just smiles as she picks up her clothes.

"Stop thinking about what you're thinking" Seulgi adorably scolds him.

Jimin makes a face at Seulgi and just shrugs. He watches her leaves to his walk in closet and shortly she returns with her clothes already on. She initially wants to join him on bed but when she gets near him, he moves to the edge of his bed and sits there. He looks up at her and delicately touches her finger before he pulls her closer and guides her to sit on his laps. She puts her right arm around his shoulder as her another one brushes his hair softly. She smiles at him and tells him she loves him before she moves her face closer and kisses his tender lips. Short yet sweet. It brings smile to his face but what she says next really melts his heart.

"Thank you for keeping your promise and protecting me, I always feel beyond grateful to have you by my side, Jim, I really mean it" Seulgi's voice is soft and mellow.

Jimin sees everything through Seulgi's eyes. Her sincerity and honesty. He also feels the same but she already makes him speechless. Eventually, he manages to give her a nod and a smile then he is now the one who tilts his face and reaches for her lips. He shares a kiss with her, a serene and gentle one where they appreciate each other's feeling and value each other's presence. He ends the kiss with a series of sweet pecks and a warm comfortable hug. They cuddle like that until the butler informs the dinner is ready through the intercom. Halfheartedly they pull away and proceeds to the dining room. His parents and half brother are already there. They join the table and shortly after that grandma comes to take a seat and start the dinner.

In between, grandma likes to talk not only to Jimin and Seulgi but also to Junhoe. She asks Junhoe about his school and study and she listens to his answer with a smile. Grandma of course dislikes Hyorin but it doesn't mean that she needs to ignore Junhoe because he does nothing wrong and he is still his grandson. Actually, Seulgi also has the same mindset about Junhoe and even though Jimin disagrees, she still kindly responds to his half brother every time he starts a conversation. Surely she is going to get a glare from her man which later leads to a little argument about how he feels annoyed but she patiently explains and convinces him that his half brother is a good boy and it's unfair to treat him bad just because he is Hyorin's son. It seems like he slowly accepts it because lately he never gives her a look again and just lets it go when Seulgi speaks to or talks about Junhoe. He has a willingness to at least open up his mind and take in her advice. It's very nice of him.

Tonight's dinner looks like a usual family dinner. There is no drama even until it ends. Immediately after that, Seulgi says goodbye to his family as she needs to get a rest and it's getting late as well. Once his family members wave to her and go back to the mansion, Jimin holds her hand and guides her to the car. He never forgets to act like gentlemen and helps her until she sits comfortably inside. He wastes no time as he rushes to get in to the car and rides his car away. On their way, she falls asleep and he just silently drives as between times he glances to check her. A few moment later, he steps on brake right in front of her house. He moves closer to her and softly caresses her hair as he whispers to wake her up. She stirs slightly and blinks her eyes to adapt.

"Wake up baby" Jimin repeats as he kisses her cheek.

Seulgi sits straight and turns to face Jimin. She frowns a little then she runs into his embrace and hugs him tight. She snuggles as she lets out a whiny sound and he smiles because of how adorable she is. It's hard to resist, so he wraps his arms around her and cuddles her. They stay like that for minutes and she decides to say her goodbye to him but doesn't move even an inch. He does the same and no one really wants to let go. After a while, she looks up and stares at him before she tells him to drive safely and gives him a goodbye kiss. He smiles and nods. Then he cups her face and kisses her lips one last time before he says his goodbye.

"Bye, Seul, I'll meet you at the end of aisle"
