It's nerveracking. Jimin actually hears his own heartbeat as he follows detective Seo to the investigation room. He feels terribly nervous about the suspect as he has no idea about who it is. It drives him crazy but he needs to face it. He takes a deep breath when detective Seo opens the door to a room. He enters together with Minjae but he petrifies immediately when he witnesses it. Through the one way mirror, he sees a familiar face but it causes him to feel really confused. What is it? What is she doing there? Seriously, it makes no sense.

"You know her?" Detective Seo asks Jimin.

Jimin turns his face and nods to detective Seo. He then explains everything. The suspect is someone he knows, Han Yisoo, his stepmother's personal assistant. She only started working last month and she got a lot of praises though she was just a fresh graduate that time. She looks like a kind person and even his grandmother agrees with that, so it's unconvincing that she is capable to do such things to other human being. He sighs as he furrows his brows. He doesn't know how, but somehow he has a feeling that she is not the one.

"Are you sure she is the suspect?" Jimin asks.

Detective Seo tells Jimin and Minjae that everything points her being the suspect. First, they have CCTV footage of the cruise. That night, Yisoo was on board though she wasn't in guests list. She was seen entering the kitchen and getting out five minutes later with one of the waitress. She talked for a while and in the end she gave the waitress a small bottle filled with suspicious liquid. Second, detectives right away came and interrogated the waitress. From there, they knew that it was a peanut oil and Yisoo asked the waitress to add it to Seulgi's food. The waitress didn't think twice since Yisoo offered a great amount of money and did as asked. Lastly, they successfully made Yisoo admitted her crime and spoke about her motive.

"And?" Minjae questions as he holds back his anger.

"It's because of love. Han Yisoo confessed that she is in love with you, Park Jimin, she feels jealous of Seulgi and decides to do such thing" Detective Seo states.

"What?"

Both Jimin and Minjae are taken aback by the information. It's hard to understand that love is Yisoo's motive to execute a crime. It makes Jimin speechless but at the same time makes him think. Is it possible to fall in love when you never talks? He never even once talks to or greets Yisoo and she never looks like she cares about his existence as well. If they cross path, Yisoo just bows to him politely and leaves immediately. He is not an expert but he of course knows how to differentiate who is in love and who is not. Surely, Yisoo is the second one, she is not and she is never in love with him. So, what is this?

"Is it for real?" Jimin asks once again.

Detective Seo sighs and looks into Jimin and also Minjae. As detective, he smelt oddity since he first investigated this case. He found out, Yisoo had quite amount of debt so he checked her bank account. There was no transfer trace to her bank account but her debt paid off. It became more and more suspicious when he interrogated her. She was right away admitted her crime and denied involvement of others. Even the criminal profiler said that it was all way too easy and it felt like the evidences were deliberately shoved to their faces. He wanted further investigation but the commissioner ordered to close the case since they had evidences and suspect's admission. He tried to be stubborn but commissioner asked him to stop before it caused troubles to them. He had no power so he was obliged to obey. Eventually he just nods to Jimin and Minjae. Jimin just sighs while Minjae talks.

"If she is guilty, then I'll leave it to law"

A pair of classic Christian Dior pumps produces a tapping sound as it meets the marble floor below. Her hips sway everytime she confidently takes a step ahead. From head to her toe, high fashion brands complete her look. She holds beautiful flowers on her right hand as a sly smile graces her face. Once she is infront of a door of hospital VIP's room, she changes her whole expression into a worry one. She knocks and slowly slides the door as it immediately reveals what's behind. She sees Seulgi there, on a hospital bed with an intravenous infusion on her hand. How she wants to laugh, but like a pro actress, she enters the room with a depressed look and calls her name with worry on her tone.

"Are you alright?" She asks.

Seulgi just stares and suddenly fear creeps into her heart. She gets a bad feeling about it, but she tries to be positive. She watches Jimin's stepmother walks closer and stops to stand on the side of her bed. Hyorin looks worry but the gaze on her eyes doesn't lie, it shows the opposite. Thereafter, Joohyun greets Hyorin and receive the flowers, behalf of Seulgi. Hyorin then takes a seat beside her bed and looks at her. She is about to talk, but Joohyun's phone rings. She turns to see Joohyun who immediately excuses herself to take the call. She watches Joohyun gets out from the room and once it's just her and Seulgi, she takes off of her mask.

"Kang Seulgi---" Hyorin starts as she faces Seulgi "---how did it feel? Was it painful?" She continues.

Seulgi's heart skips a beat as she sees how fast Hyorin's expression changes. It's scary as she realizes that Hyorin shows her true self now. She just shuts her mouth and avoids Hyorin's stare. It's a wise decision made by her since she is there alone with just Hyorin who is capable to do crazy thing to her. Hyorin is a little bit mad because Seulgi chooses to ignore her but she doesn't give up. She calls Seulgi's name as she touches her hand. She gets Seulgi's attention immediately. Then she makes an eyecontact with Seulgi and somehow she finds fright there. It excites her to continue the game. She intimidately smiles as she gets close to her face and talks.

"Seulgi-ya, it's just the beginning, if you love your life then leave Park Jimin---" Hyorin says it purposely to let Seulgi knows where the threat comes from. She smirks as she sees Seulgi's pale face. It's satisfying to witness how startled Seulgi is. She chuckles lightly as she realizes that she is the winner of this game and the next minute, she decides to stop as she begins to strokes Seulgi's hair softly "---or who knows what will happen to you next---" She pauses to make Seulgi nervous and then whispers "---darling you probably will end up like his mother" She ends it and smiles. Not long after that, Joohyun returns and Hyorin acts like nothing happen.

"Remember that---" Hyorin speaks with her motherly tone and smiles "---I need to go now" She pats Seulgi's hand and turns to bow slightly to Joohyun before she leaves the hospital room. Outside, she walks to the nearest lift and as she waits, she takes out her phone to check it. She gets a lot of messages but she just opens one. A smile appears on her face once she reads the message from the police commissioner.

'The case is closed'

An hour ago, Jimin and Minjae returned and when they arrived, Seulgi was sleeping soundly. Jimin took a seat and watched her sleep. In the background, he heard Joohyun talked to Minjae about Seola. Joohyun got a call from home because Seola kept crying and asking for them. Joohyun suggested that they need to go home this night and accompanied their daughter. Minjae agreed and later he asked Jimin to stay with Seulgi. Jimin felt okay about that and he made a call to his secretary, telling that he would take a day off.

Right now, Seulgi is awake from her sleep and she gets checked by dr. Moon personally. Everything is good as she recovers fast. If her vital is good, tomorrow she will be discharged from the hospital. After delivering the good news, dr. Moon leaves to let Seulgi rest and he promises he will come again tomorrow to check her condition. Not long after that, when the clock strikes seven, Minjae and Joohyun also leave to come back home. Now, it's only Jimin and Seulgi again.

Seulgi has been acting like everything is fine but deep inside her heart, she feels fear. She has no heart to make her brother and sister in law worry. She needs to keep acting, but it feels hard to do so infront of Jimin. She is unable to hide it from him and in the end she just starts crying. This situation makes him feel taken aback and he naturally asks about what happened. Instead of an answer, she just sheds out all her tears. That moment, he understands, she just wants to let out her feeling first and explains later. All he can do is holding her close to him, comforting her with a hug and waiting. Once she calms down, he asks again.

"Hey, what happened?" Jimin whispers.

"Jimin---" Seulgi pauses as she feels an urge to cry again. She takes a deep breath and looks up to see his face "---your stepmother came and---" She chokes as a single tear drops.

Jimin tries to figure out everything but fails because there is a lot of missing puzzle in the story. He just caresses Seulgi's back and comforts her. He knows that she needs time so he just keeps quiet and waits for her. Slowly, she moves her hand to his waist and grips his tee. She doesn't know how to start but eventually she finds a way. She just tells him the truth and the story flows just like that. He listens to her and one by one the missing pieces complete the puzzle. It triggers his anger until his body trembles.

"Tell me again, what did she say?" Jimin asks before he clenches his teeth.

"Jimin---"

"Did she really say that you will probably end up like my mother?---" Jimin cuts Seulgi off "---how dare she" Jimin talks lowly as it just more for himself but Seulgi hears it. There is pain in his tone but anger covers it almost perfectly. It hurts her, somehow.

In the other hand, Jimin drowns in his own thought. His stepmother always plays her game like this, dirty and unfair. He believes, many years ago, his stepmother pulled the same game with his mother. Did his mother get a threat like Seulgi? Did his mother feel the same pain as Seulgi? Yes, but reality was, his mother got worse than Seulgi. That time, his mother had no one to protect her and she just fought her fear alone until she got killed in a car crash. It truly hurts him to think that his stepmother killed his mother and covered up her crime with his father's money. How ironic.

Jimin lets his self back to the reality and he immediately meets Seulgi's teary eyes. He looks deep into hers as he strokes her cheek gently. Her eyes tell him how helpless she is and it breaks his heart. He swears, everything that happened to his mother, will never happen to her. His stepmother once took his love one but that was the first and last. Even now or in the future, his stepmother will have no chance to harm her. He will protect her at all cost. At last, he will make sure, in the end of this journey, his stepmother will pay the price.

"I won't let anybody hurt you, I promise"
