Francis

I stepped out of the portal and in front of Queen's Faeryn palace. I stood facing a large door with two guards standing on each end. I decided to walk up to them as I had to get to the Queen quickly. However I was immediatel stopped from going any further because the guards held onto me. I was about to explain to them that I didn't have time for this and that I had to see the Queen immediately when I heard a strong feminine voice say, "Let him go this instant". I looked up to see the Queen herself. She was dressed in a blue dress, holding a book in her hand. The guards let go of me and went back to their stations. I walked up to her and bowed. "Your majesty". She nodded in approval and told me to follow her.

I followed her into a large room that had a long table with several people sitting around it. I'm guessing it's the council. I heard about them before because they were all very popular,not to mention they held ultimate power in this world. They were occupied with talking so they didn't see us when we entered until the Queen cleared her throat and all the talking was immediately halted, turning their heads to face where they heard the sound.

"Everyone this is Francis", they nodded in approval, looking at me with eyes of questioning and sizing me up. "Francis, this is the council of Ogore Thelea." I nodded to them. "Francis, please have a seat". The queen said, pointing at a chair a few seats away from where she intended to sit. After we both sat, Queen Faeryn looked at everyone then at me.

"As we all came to know our gene was activated thanks to Francis. However because of this, the world now has powers. Some people's powers have developed faster than some and some people have stronger powers. Also we know that the closer you are to me, the faster and more powerful your powers will develop. Now, because of the newly rising powers people are fighting each other due to the lack of control so obviously we need to do something about it. So, does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get this thing under control?".

Everyone looked around at each other, seeing who had a solution. Just then a middle aged looking man raised his hand. He was wearing a full black suit, gray bread showing and wearing his hair in dreadlocks tied back. "We could let out a harmless gas to put everyone asleep and put together a list of all the persons that are closest to you in source then send out troops to find them and keep them somewhere until we work out something more. Not everyone has dangerous powers so we just need to control those that do. "He said.

"Thank you Luther but it could take weeks or even months before we would find them, not to mention it might be a very long list" ,The queen replied, shutting down the idea. She turns her head to look away from the man to look around at everyone in the room before stopping at me. "Anyone else? Francis?". I opened my mouth to speak. I was about to tell her that I haven't thought of anything yet when a woman barged in abruptly.

She was tall and beautiful however she gave off a vibe that I didn't like. She seemed rather suspicious yet so innocent. She looked like a rose, beautiful but painful to touch. My instincts were telling me something was off with her but I couldn't' quite put a finger on it. She bowed and started talking so fast I could barely understand her. " Slow down Amaritha, speak again". She said, " I'm sorry to interrupt your meeting, your majesty but there is an emergency. The military had just informed the palace that some people that have been gaining powers have now obtained the powers of teleportation and are currently opening portals to the other world. People are crossing over from both sides and to make it worse they are fighting. It's a complete chaos out there. "

"Okay thank you, you may leave." She left after she bowed and the queen looked back at us with a slight panicked look on her face. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath before speaking in an urgent tone. "We are running out of time, people are going to end up dead if they go to Astralda. What should I do?" I thought for a minute then came up with an idea.

" What if you go to your sister and try to convince her to take control of her people, to get them to stop fighting. I'm assuming everyone here has powers and can control it. So we can go out in the field and try to control what we can and help out where we can. We can try to round up all the people who are destroying the place and put them in some sort of prison for now."

The queen seemed to be in thought for a while as a frown came to her face then she replied saying, " My sister and I aren't on good terms. The last time I spoke to her I got angry and blasted her into the sky, so I'm not exactly sure she will be so welcoming to this idea and to me. Not to mention she lied to me my entire life about who I was or who I could've been. No, we need another solution." She finished shaking her head.

"With all due respect, your majesty, your feud with your sister is not worth losing both worlds over. She may have lied to you and hurt your feelings and though you may feel angry and sad there are actual lives at stake here. you're immortal, your people aren't. Well we don't know for sure yet but all that matters right now is the safety of your people. You can stop this war if you make peace with your sister, because if you don't, we will all pay the price",

I said in hopes of getting her to agree with me. There is so much life left to live and so much more to explore. I cannot afford to die and let innocent lives go with me. She sighed and shook her head in defeat then said.

"Francis, you're right. I have to stop this war immediately." She got up out of her seat and ordered the council members to go out and help the military and gather every reinforcement we have.

"Francis go, go out and do what you can, I'm going to my sister. "I nodded in approval and left with the council members as we all went out into the raging fire.

As I would like to call it as that's the feeling it gives me. When I got there I found myself looking at people going through many hellish like situations and because of that I couldn't take it any more so I helped the police officers take down some foreign looking bad people that were causing some problems, helped calm down some people that were having trouble with their powers and took some vulnerable people to safety.

Once there were no more serious threats that weren't manageable for the police, I moved on to somewhere else. I went to another country in Ogore Thelea and there I saw that it was a complete mess here, much worse than I expected. There were multiple people opening portals here and there. People from the other world were coming through and fighting my people. I hated seeing this, why do they have to fight.

I got so angry I could feel my powers coming out already. It felt as if it was crawling through every pore. I quickly ran up to a guy struggling to close a portal because a person from Jilonop was trying to kill him. I used teleportation to get closer to the portal and immediately a thought came to me to freeze him and as that came I felt a pain in my eyes as it lit up and markings came up to my skin, I looked down in unto the ground to see a small puddle, my hair turned white with small specks of gold at the tip and the ice quickly shot through small portals behind me at him to the man in the portal.

The man sighed in relief when I helped him close the portal and explained to me that the people from the other worlds are everywhere and that he opened the portal by accident. Only to see hundreds of them pouring through knocking him over. He looked shocked and afraid when he was explaining it to me. I told him it's okay and carried him to safety. I came back to the scene and took a good look at everyone. It was hard to determine who was winning because both sides were injured.

I had enough of this. I don't know where it came from but I felt a boost of adrenaline and I suddenly started attacking the other side without remorse. I was tired of seeing my people's pain, I was tired of the innocent being hurt, I was tired just tired. I was blinded by anger and was about to hurt a man when I heard a familiar voice. I turned my ears towards the voice.

"Z?".

I moved away from the man as I stopped . I looked behind me and realized the man had opened a portal. I looked into it to realize that she was in her palace. At her home. She looked safe. The guy must have accidentally opened it there. I looked at the guy and realized he was trying to close the portal. But before he could close it I jumped through.

I was still high on adrenaline and was very angry but I was elated to see the love of my life. She is the best thing that happened to me, she's so beautiful, so perfect , so mine I thought, smiling. I was standing behind a wall so she didn't see me yet. I was about to walk up to her to surprise her when she started walking further away from me. I silently followed her until she reached her parents' floor. I rolled my eyes in annoyance. I really don't like her father but he is my future father in law, hopefully, so I'm just going to have to get used to it.

I saw her father approach her and hug her.

"How are you my dear? Let's go, we can walk while you tell me everything". I followed them as they walked into the dining room where they both sat down. "Why did you take so long to update me on what was going on with that boy?". King Maximus said.

"I'm sorry father, I tried sending you a message but he wouldn't let me out of his sight. He's the one that activated Queen Faeryn's powers. On the day we talked about the plan we went to a river where he just started feeling hot all of a sudden and jumped in the river. When he came out he looked different. "

"What do you mean he started feeling hot?, that doesn't make any sense. How can he just start feeling hot so quickly? How can he just activate a gene that has been dormant for thousands of years?. Lyra Zaria Raeraunthra Tinueil are you hiding anything from me?"

"Of course not father, I don't know how he did it but he did. But don't worry, I don't think he has full control of his powers yet, you can defeat him and his people easily, then we can do what you wanted from the start ." Her father nodded his head in satisfaction. "Ready the troops, we attack at dawn".

My ears started ringing as my vision started getting blurry and I felt like I was going to throw up. My breaths became shallow as I grabbed the wall because I was slowly losing my balance. I refused to believe what I had just heard. There was no way that happened. It didn't make sense, it just didn't. I felt like I couldn't breathe, like I was trapped. I let go of the wall and held my chest as I started breathing heavier. One, two, three I started to count but It wasn't helping. I started seeing black spots and I knew I was about to pass out but before the darkness could consume me a hand reached and grabbed me up and took me away.

The person had me over their shoulder like a bag of sack but I didn't have the strength to complain. "Hey, Fran", my eyes fluttered a little before I closed it again in dizziness. "Fran wake up, are you hearing me?". I hummed to him then replied "Kyle?", I asked. "Yes, it's me, I have to get you out of here, just keep quiet for now. You're going to be okay."

Kyle carried me for a few minutes. Then put me down on a chair. "What happened?", Kyle asked. He looked at my face. I looked at him in disbelief as I thought back to what I heard

" You were right", was all I said. Kyle sat down beside me and sighed. "It's not your fault, well it is, but you were in love with her and we all know that love makes you blind. You're going to be okay brother, I'm here now". He said as he placed a supporting hand on my shoulder.

"I'm sorry Kyle". I said, he opened his arms to hug me and then he said.

" I know and I'm sorry too".

"I'm sorry I didn't believe you about Z and her family being bad news. I just finally found someone that made me feel things I didn't feel before. She's literally my soulmate. How could she betray me like that?."

"I don't know but people do crazy things man."

I shaked my head, "Yeah I guess"

Kyle looked at me with a smirk on his face, I know that look. "But Hey, heard you activated the gene bro, you're amazing and now I have an amazing body. However, I don't have the cool powers all of you got because my mushroom powers keep clashing with this so mine is still kind of dormant. But yeah I look great and you too dude. Like damn you had a glow up, and Z still betrayed you?

If I were her I would have run away with you and I mean that in the most friendliest way possible. " He said laughing. I eventually joined him laughing too. "I really did miss you Kyle".

I then proceeded to tell him everything from the last moment I saw him to now. When I was done he had the most dramatic shocked expression on his face, If that's even a thing but when it comes to Kyle I wouldn't be surprised.
