"What if I say I cheated on you? Will you forgive me?" Jimin asked.

"You won't, I know" Taehyung replied confidently."Will you?" his confidence broke after meeting Jimin's eyes. He took a few steps back, trying to grasp the situation.

"Would you still trust me?" Jimin sighed taking a few steps closer. "If so, are you willing to forgive me?" he continued as his hands made way to Tae's chest.

"I-I'm not sure" Taehyung turned around with a grunt.

"If you have an answer to this, come back to me tomorrow" Jimin sighed, hugging his back, leaving a soft peck there.

Taehyung left Jimin's room after the chat, going downstairs towards the library, becoming his second home after Jimin asked him for some space to rethink their relationship. He was walking on eggshells around Jimin, not wanting to disappoint him in any way. He was ready to do anything that made his love happy. Going in he saw his laptop still on charge, and piles of work waiting for him. But his mood was off after what Jimin asked him.

Would Jimin ever cheat on him? He's not someone to do that? But those eyes weren't lying. So he did cheat on him whereas he was trying to get them back together. How dare he! That.....

He shuddered thinking about him this way.

"Is this how he felt when he came to know about me cheating on him? Don't I deserve all of it? Who am I to teach him what's right or wrong when I've wronged him in many ways." he sighed taking a seat across his laptop.

Why was Taehyung ready to forgive Jimin knowing he cheated on him? Was it him feeling guilty or is it something else he's after? Taehyung wasn't as simple as you could see, he had a complex personality with his true identity hidden under layers which even he was unaware of. His mind constantly thinks of all possible things he could do to escape unhurt from any situation, he never cared for other's feelings whatsoever. So why now? Why Jimin? Did he actually fall for him?

"I loved you so much, huh! Love is such a nasty word to be used here" he chuckled. "My goal was predetermined. I'd planned everything, right from joining the Park Empire, to making Jimin fall for me on which his dumb father helped me without knowing my true intentions. I'm selfish and I won't deny that, your foolish step brother too fell for my charms just as you and your father. Knowing I never cared for JK, he slept with me. It's his loss not mine!" he laughed grabbing a glass of red wine which he filled half way.

"After doing so much for his company your father left all his properties and wealth just for you. WHAT ABOUT ME? I don't know how your idiot father came to know about my intentions, it was a bit sooner than I thought. I should have been careful about hiding my affair with Kookie. He was so blinded by love, he ignored all the red flags I gave. I never stayed after we did it, I seldom picked his calls telling him I was busy with work. He is so stupid to believe all the lies I spewed, he was too easy to fool. I told you we slept just once, but we fooled around many times. What do you expect from me? How could I suppress my urges when you weren't there, huh! It was eating me out and the frustration was affecting me. Your innocent brother had no idea that I was just using him for my needs and nothing else. Once you're back, I was going to dump him for good. But he was so stubborn, I had to emotionally blackmail him to keep his mouth shut. The things I did for you Jimin_ah" he shook his head with an evil grin plastered on his face.

"When I came to know that your father was changing his will back then, after he caught me and Jungkook in an awkward situation, I had to find a way to stop him from doing that. It would ruin all of my plans and my efforts to reach here. I didn't want to do that to him, but I had no other choice. At least I made sure he didn't get a painful death though!" a lowly chuckle left his lips.

"But that oldie had inserted a clause long back where I would get all your properties and wealth only if you are mentally unfit to take care of it. In case you die, everything would be transferred to a trust where your father used to donate a lot when he was alive. I care for you Jiminie, don't I? I admitted you to that damn mental hospital where you met your dearest Jin hyung. I know I just acted as I cared, but shouldn't you focus on the end result not the work that went behind it! I was, I am and I always will be selfish. I'm not like you Jimin_ah, but I was happy to have you under my grip. You were my doll to play with, since when did you start making decisions on your own" he growled banging the table ahead as few books fell down with the impact.

"Jimin, Jimin, Jimin, when did you outsmart me? You used to listen to everything I say. Someone's changed you, is it Yoongi or that Psycho Dr. Jin? I'm not gonna sit and watch everything as a spectator, sooner or later you'll feel my presence babe! I'll let you know what I'm capable of. I'm really sorry to say this Jimin, but no matter what you do you can't escape me! You're stuck me me babe" he chuckled like a maniac sitting on the sofa chair besides, now pulling his laptop closer.

While Taehyung talked to himself in the library thinking he was alone, someone hid in the shadows shocked to know the truth. They hid themselves behind the shelves making sure to not make any noise. Soon Taehyung got a call and he left the room in a hurry leaving his laptop on. The person came out of the hiding to peek a look over his laptop, eyes widened noting something on the screen. They took out their phone and clicked a few pictures, making sure Taehyung wasn't back yet, finally leaving in a hurry.

"Phew that was something worth the effort. I knew he was up to something but didn't know he was getting help from someone so close to Jimin. When I saw him spending so much time in the library I was curious to know what he did there. That curiosity led me here, I tried to open his laptop but it was useless. Then I ran to hide behind the shelves when I heard footsteps. I was so afraid to be caught, trying to control my breath inside. Thankfully he didn't spot me, busy with ranting out his heart which I successfully recorded on my phone. But im surprised to know his involvement with Taehyung" Taemin sighed taking out the phone after reaching his room safely.

Scrolling through his phone he read Taehyung's chats with Jung Hoseok, where he was told to spy on Jimin. He couldn't do that himself without arousing suspicion so he sent his friend Jason instead. Now the mystery of sudden change in the caretaker's job makes sense! So it was the idea of Taehyung from the very beginning to trap Jimin here and make sure he goes mad, when Jimin kept thinking he received threats from someone. Taehyung made sure to make Jimin believe the killer to be just a figment of his imagination. But the unexpected arrival of Yoongi spoiled his plans, he even caught the attacker proving the fact it wasn't just an illusion but a real threat.

Taehyung managed it so well until now. Calling Hoseok late at night, knowing Jimin would worry about him. Then making him disappear as if he never came in the first place. Later in the washroom, when Jimin went to open the door, the attacker switched stalls. Taehyung knew it and avoided it carefully making Jimin wonder whether it was all in his head. Then he started getting those episodes again. And during such an episode he called Yoongi without Taehyung's knowledge and everything went downhill. Taehyung knew well Jimin doesn't remember a thing he did during those episodes so he was a bit relieved. He handled the situation somehow and knowing Yoongi had a soft spot for Jimin, he exaggerated Jimin's mental health issues stating it deteriorated again.

Yoongi was smarter than he thought and tried to find out things his way. He caught Taehyung and Jungkook's affair, warning them not to take it further. He convinced Jimin to not trust Taehyung, which he took his own sweet time to comply with. Jin and Namjoon too found out about Hoseok's involvement in Jimin's attacks and had their suspicions on Taehyung but needed solid proof.

"So you're behind this Taehyung! But who sent that guy to kidnap Jimin, the same guy tried to harm him at the party too. Who was that guy?" Taemin wondered, getting a solution to one problem was not enough. He needs to know about the guy who hired that kidnapper to harm Jimin! He was scarier than Taehyung!

"After I came to know that Jimin's condition started improving after Dr. Kim's treatment I was so happy. He was my senior at our medical college. I'm well aware of his capability to treat the cases which were tagged as incurable. Now that I think about it, Jimin's conditions worsened after he was admitted to the asylum by Taehyung. It improved only after Dr. Kim started treating Jimin. I wonder if Taehyung is involved in this too?" Taemin sigh taking a seat, but flinched hearing his phone ring.

Officer Choi calling...

What happened?

Hello! Dr. Lee Taemin?

Yes, Officer Choi! What's the matter?

Actually I couldn't reach Mr. Kim or Mr. Park so I'd to call you. It's something urgent, the guy who tried to harm and kidnap Mr. Park has escaped from the hospital. We have announced a red alert but Mr. Park needs to take care. I'm sending Detective Kim Namjoon at your place for help along with a few officers for his protection. Kindly take care.

Actually I'm kind of disappointed. But I'm not the one to say anything here. We'll take care of Jimin so please find him soon.

Taemin grunted keeping the call, it's not going anywhere. He was so sure Taehyung was behind all of it, but who's this other person now! They helped the prisoner escape too, it means they are still after Jimin! Who could this person be! He needs to find out quickly.

But first he needs to inform Jimin about everything so he ran upstairs. As soon as he reached Jimin's room he spotted a shadow outside. He quickly ran up to catch the person, suspecting it to be the runaway prisoner.

"What are you doing up here?" Taemin gasped watching the person in front of him.

"Ah ac-actually I came to check up on Jimin" Hoseok stuttered nervously looking away.

"By lurking outside Jimin's room?" Taemin scoffed folding his hands.

"Umm.. I-I think I've left something on the gas" he mumbled running away.

"Still spying huh. What are you up to Kim Taehyung?" He whispered to himself going inside Jimin's room to spot him chatting with Jungkook.

"So this happened hyung. How could I stay with her when both of us were wrong. I too betrayed her so I deserved her betrayal. That child wasn't even mine so what could I say to save our marriage which was already broken. We decided mutually to divorce each other rather than to drag this loveless marriage" Jungkook sighed with slumped shoulders, Jimin patted his back.

"I don't have any say in this. Hopefully you'll find someone worthy of your love JK. Take some rest now, don't stress out much okay. I'm not sure if I'll be able to forgive you for sleeping with my husband, we'll talk about that later" Jimin sighed looking away, Jungkook kept staring Jimin with glossy eyes. What was he thinking? Did he really want Jimin's forgiveness or something else?

Taemin knocked on the door lightly, both of them shuffled to stand up. Jungkook looked away making his way out of the door quickly. Jimin looked tired, he tried to smile watching Taemin enter.

"Hyung! Where were you this whole time? I was going to call you" he worriedly asked watching Taemin's serious expression.

"I got some information Jimin, it's kind of shocking so embrace yourself" Taemin mumbled closing the door shut and gesturing him to go towards the gallery, which he followed.

"What hyung?" Jimin asked getting nervous.
