1 month later

Natsu P.O.V

I was walking to school when, I stopped at the path where Lucy and I always meet. When I didn't see that blonde hair in the distance, I knew she wasn't coming today either.

Lucy...

As I sighed, I walked away heading back to school, alone again. "Cheer up Natsu~" Happy said while popping out of my bag. "Lucy will be back! Just believe!" He continued.

"It's been a month. Levy's been calling her and she won't pick up. I don't think she's coming back." I said.

"But Natsu, you can't-" He quickly hid back inside my bag. I looked ahead to see Levy running up to me.

"Natsu!" she yelled while waving.

"Lev-ouch!" She head butted me in the stomach.

"Idiot! Why haven't you gone to rescue Lucy?!"

"Huh?"

"You're supposed to be the knight in shining armor! Go get her!"

"Levy, school starts soon and-"

"Stop making excuses! Since when did you care about school? I though you liked Lucy?!"

Her face was completely red from frustration. She had tears starting to whelm up in her eyes.

"Levy..."

"Don't Levy me! Since when did you ever leave a comrade out?"

"..."

"You know what? You've become an ass hole ever since the whole Lisanna thing. I stayed as your friend for years. No one wanted to be with you because of you were sooo cold, but there was Levy!"

"Levy, aren't you ever gonna leave that cold hearted snake?" she said in a man voice.

"I thought about it. But then Lucy came. She helped change you. I thought you would turn back into your happy-go-lucky self. But now I see, you're still a bitch with no feelings."

She then turned away without another word. As I saw her walking away, still stunned, I did the only thing I could do, find Lucy.

Lucy P.O.V

"Hime. Can I come in?" I walked to the door and opened it. "What do you want?"

"I just wanted to make sure you were alright." I looked behind her to see the shadow of my dad. I looked at Virgo and closed the door. "Hime?"

"Go away Virgo."

"As you wish..."

I walked over to the balcony and leaned up against it. "Tch. I hate this..."

As I stood there, I began to remember that night...

*Flash back*

After Natsu left, the doctor came in with a sad look. "Ms. Heartfilia, we have some bad news..."

"Bad news?"

"Yes. Currently, we are the best hospital in the world. We can cure almost anything. However, what you have is hereditary."

I was a little confused. "So what does that mean...?"

*End of Flashback*

I walked back over to my bed and laid down. "I guess it just runs in the family."

Natsu P.O.V

"Lucy!" I yelled while running off to every part of town.

"Natsu...I don't think Lucy's gonna be in town..." Happy said while inside my bag.

"Really? Then where do you think?"

"Try yelling her name around the neighborhood."

"Good idea!"

I ran to a map and looked at it. "Where do you think she lives?"

Happy popped out my bag and looked. "Well...the towns are divided by class..."

"Yeah, do you think she lives in the low class? Or the middle class?" I asked.

"Try the high class!" Happy yelled with excitement.

"High class? Lucy isn't a rich girl."

"Then, let's go back to school."

"Huh?" I asked confused.

"Why don't you follow the path were Lucy and you meet."

"Why didn't I think of that? Lets go!" I ran back to school and followed the path.

Lucy P.O.V

Lucy!

I looked up from my journal and stared at the wall. "Did I just hear my name?"

I shrugged and continued writing.

Lucy!

I dropped my pencil and placed my pinky in my ear. "I must be hearing things. I guess my ears are dirty..."

Lucy!

I got up and walked to the balcony. "I must be going crazy."

Lucy!

That sounds like...Natsu!

I might be going crazy but, it's worth a shot...

I placed my hands around my mouth and yelled, "Natsu!"

Then I saw a strand of pink hair.

"Lucy, is that you?"

"It is!"

I then saw the bushes start to move. The dot of pink hair I saw, started to form into a person, Natsu.

"Natsu?! What're you doing here? You know you're gonna get kicked out, right?"

"I can careless. I'm here to get you."

"But-"

"Pack your stuff up and throw it out the window. I'll catch it."

Without a second thought I climbed the balcony and stood there. "Lucy?"

"Natsu, you better catch me!"

"W-Wai-" I jumped off and landed in his arms.

"I missed you..." I whispered as I hugged him tightly.

"I did too..."

"Lucy!" I looked back to see my dad walking towards us.

"Dad..."

"What the hell are you doing?! Come back now!"

"No!"

He walked up to me and grabbed my arm. Then Natsu grabbed his.

"What do you think you're doing?" asked my dad in an angry voice.

"I'm taking her."

"No you're not boy. Now let go of my daughter."

I yanked my hand away from his grasp. "Lucy!" He yelled.

"Dad! This is the last time. I promise."

He yanked his hand away from Natsu and walked to the door.

"I'm done with you. Don't ever come back!"
