Mat.

I stared in front of my laptop for a moment on a blank email page. I tapped my right hand fingers against the table as I thought hard about what I what to do. I knew for sure I wanted to do this because I can't have anymore wild running around. I just had to think for a moment about every situation that could happen.

The more I thought, the more I knew what I wanted to write. I sat up on the chair and started tapping out the proposal message to the other fifty alphas in the United States.

When I was near finishing, Killian knocked on the door before stepping in. He leaned against the frame, "We should get going, Mrs Arkwright."

I quickly typed on the keys, "One more moment, I'm almost finished."

"What are you doing?" he asked, walking over. I finished up right when he came over and started reading it. "...and to make sure our secret safe we should round up all the wild rogue wolves. Mat?" he questioned. "What are you doing?" He didn't seem so opened minded about the idea.

I stood up, "Times are changing, Killian. Humans are getting smarter, it bound to happen soon and they'll be the reason we get exposed." I said as I pressed the send button.

I walked around Killian who groaned, "Why did you do this?"

Confused, I turned around, "What? Killian, this is imporant. I know we agreed a long time ago in the old days to keep out of each other businesses but do you really think they can keep our secrets. Allot of them are turning to drugs like Aydin is. Their gonna be ones to screw us over."

"No, not that." he said, walking over towards. "Why are you getting involved in something we should just leave alone. Why are you getting into something that can possibly dangerous? I thought you wanted a safe settled life. I might have found a place to go on our honeymoon in Asia. Beautiful mountains to hike, beautiful beach. I want to suprise you where it is when-"

"Killian, don't worry. This isn't going to be very risky. You know very well I can handle some wild rogues and it won't take forever. This is about the safety of our pack and the others." I placed my hands on his neck and kissed him, "Don't worry, it's gonna be fine."

He brought his hand up to my wrist, "You didnt even tell me about this."

I shrugged, "I decided it just a few hours ago. We really don't need more Aydin roaming around." I took his hand in mine and kissed the palm of my hand, "Now lets go, Tamaz said he was making some Georgian dinner. This should be interesting."

*

The room was filled with the smell of delcious foods. Tamaz set a dish with some kind of flat looking bread with beans inside with bacon since it was an appetizer. It smelled so good and I was eager to try some different kind of food. It put some hot sauce on it and ate a few of them. I sipped on some wine as I enjoyed it.

It was pretty quiet with mostly Killian and Tamaz talking about both families. I was pretty suprise when Aeriela showed up but I thought it was pretty nice. She didn't seem very happy to be here though with the sad look on her face as she picked at the bean filled bread. Her long dark red hair wasn't done or anything, it hung in it waves and looked kind of unbrushed. Aeriela use to be very beautifully tan but since she came here her skin got lighter and stayed a light tan color. She wore all black when she use to wear light clothes.

Tamaz brother Zakaria was also quiet at the table as he drank from his wine.

Killian leaned over, "Save some room for dinner, don't you think Mat?" he teasingly asked. I rolled my eyes at him and he chuckled.

"How Aydin?" Aeriela asked, suprising me but she never looked up from his plate. "Is he suffering?"

"Yes." I said. "Apparently still out of his mind from the cocaine but I believe it won't be long before it leaves his body."

"Good." she said. "Then I can go see him."

My eyes widen and it got very quiet, "Excuse me, Aeriela?"

She lifted her head up, "He killed my uncle, I want revenge. I know you promised Melinda she can revenge for tricking her but he was my uncle."

"An uncle who wanted to control your life, to be with the wolf who's in that ceil to protect you." I reminded her. "Ramses wasn't a good man, you should know that for what your life was like."

"You don't need to remind me." she said as her voice got more lower. Her eyes were blank with emotions as she stared at me, "But he was still family. It's my job to revenge my uncle. I would do it for you. Aydin killed him, betrayed him, and took leadership over the pack."

"No." I flat out side because killing Aydin wouldn't help her in any kind of way. It might effect her even more. We stared at each other for a moment. "Aeriela, you don't need worry about Aydin or Ramses anymore. You moved on from that old life."

"I know, but please Mat let me." she said. "It traditional to take revenge for my uncle. What's the matter? Think I can handle it? I'm wild, just like you are and if you can handle it-"

"You and I are different. I'm a rock, while your the delicate flower in this big garden." I told her, making those blank eyes sadden. "Aeriela, I have seen you get hurt to much already. Aydin knows how to hit you in the right spot. He doesn't know anything about me or Melinda who has changed."

"I have changed too!" she said, raising her voice. "Trust I can handle this."

"Talk to me when you shift finally." I said, making her scoff. "Enough about it right now though." I said, making her roll her eyes as she looked down at her plate where her uneaten bean filled bread was. Jeez, she's so difficult.

And sadly as stubborn as me so I know this isn't the last if this.

Aeriela.

Alpha Tamaz brought out a plate with dumpling filled with vegetables and chicken inside, rice, and steak on it. Everyone ate while I just stared at the plate. I couldn't stop thinking about what I just finished agruing with Mat about. It was common to get revenge for a fallen wolf but Mat didn't understand that. Even though Uncle Ramses betrayed me, it still felt right because in his strange way he thought it was truly best for me.

I felt Zakaria eyes on me who was sitting across from me. My back stiffen and I made myself not look up. But not helping it, I peaked up a little through my lashes.

I felt something touched my leg and when I realized it was his foot I jerked roughly that my knee fell up to the bottom of the table as I moved my leg away. The fork fell out of my hand and down under the table. My cheeks heated up badly as everyone looked at me, "Uh, my bad. Sorry." I said as I moved my chair out and bent down under the table.

"I'll help." I heard Zakaria said he reached under the table as well. I quickly grabbed my fork but he grabbed my wrist and I looked up at him, "Here you go." he said even though the fork was already in my hand. Those green eyes stared right at me and I was tempted to stab his stubble cheek with the fork. I tried to pull away but he firmly held onto me, "So have you thought about my question about prom?"

"Huh?" I questioned loudly out of nervousness. I tried to roughly pull away since I felt so awkward at the moment as I lowered my voice. "I told you, I don't have a dress. I'll have to say no." I said, finally pulling away because his grip lighten. I quickily sat back up and I just wanted to go home now since he made it very weird.

"Prom?" Mat questioned, making me squeezed my eyes since I was hoping they suddenly gone deaf and didn't hear him. "You asked Aeriela to prom?"

"Yes but she must have thought I was joking. Maybe now that I have asked her in front you who is her sister, she'll believe me." he said.

I opened my eyes as I forced myself to look at him, "I appreciate you asking Zakaria but I'm sorry. I can't go, I don't have a dress and you didn't rent a tux in time. Also, since we don't know each other we wouldn't have much to talk about."

He shrugged, "What a better place to talk about each other than a dance?"

I tilt my head, "You here to be Mat guest, not mine to a silly American dance."

He grinned, "Come on, I'll probably be the most handsome date there. The girls will be jealous of you."

I meant to laugh, I really did but it came out as a snort, "Tempting but again no."

He picked up his fork as he looked at Mat, "I know it's very late in time but do you think you can call the school to get us to two tickets. I will pay for it, doesn't matter the cost." he said, suprising Mat.

"Zakaria." I hissed at him but he ignored me.

"Zakaria, maybe Aeriela is right." Alpha Tamaz said.

Zakaria looked back at me, "It's just one night, it should be interesting. Come on, Aeriela it is important to you. I know you think just because we don't know each other we shouldn't go but what's so wrong about going just as friends? I am not saying we will fall in love at the end of the night. Even, you are here and I live in Georgia. We aren't even each other type, no need to worry. I am just trying to be the nice guy my mother raised me to be."

I breathed out heavily but not in anger when I really wished he would say something to piss me off so it would make it easier to reject him but he was trying so hard. He was to damn polite about it all to. All the wolves looked at me, waiting for my answer. I felt the pressure on me and I knew I had to say yes. Only because Zakaria will continue to bug me if don't while he's here and Mat wouldn't let this go to tease me for awhile.

I forced a small smile, "Alright, if I can find a dress in time then yes I'll go with you." I need to get out of here so I stood up, "I need to use the bathroom. Excuse me."

When I got to the bathroom, I went over to the window and slowly opened it hoping no creek noise was made. I lifted myself up and threw my legs over the edge. I hoped out of the window since the guest house was only a one floor small home. I looked at the window where I could see a little through the curtains where the kitchen is and saw everyone talking. I turned the other way and quickly ran away to go home.

I just knew Mat was gonna be angry with me.

While I walked around in the woods, I heard some of the wolves were out and I had passed many of them. It took me a moment before I got home and everyone was already upstair for bed. I walked into my room and fell down on my bed. I brought my cover up to my chin and laid there until I fell asleep.

Mat

I angrily walked into the house, "That little selfish brat!" I yelled as Killian followed behind me. I walked up the stairs to our bedroom and pushed the door open, "That was so rude of her to just leave!"

"Alpha Tamaz didn't seem to mind." Killian said, sitting down on the bed and ran his hands down his face. I grabbed some pajama clothes and started changing, "Mat whatever Aeriela going through, you should be easier on her. You mostly of all people."

"What's that suppose to mean? Aeriela and I have totally different situations. I was never told I was a wolf until the last minute. Aeriela is going through stuff but she isn't trying to make any of it better by acting like a brat." I said as as I went into the bathroom and splashed cold water on my face.

Killian walked over, "How both of you are so much alike. She's as stubborn as you. Must be the wildness in you both. She isn't as fragile as she use to be, Mat. She is growing up, soon she'll be a grown wolf."

"She just needs to let me do my job as Alpha." I said as I walked into the room.

"Your acting as if you were never like her." he said, confusing me. I turned to face him and he scoffed, "At first, you never even wanted any of this. Remember you were also scared of this life. Do you think the old you would every imagine you'll be here?"

"I had to grow up quickly." I reminded him. "No, I wouldn't imagine three year ago I would be here. I didn't imagine I would be pulled into the past many secrets and become an Alpha. The old me-- she would laugh, curse me out, and walk away. I didn't walk away from any of it, I faced it heads on. Unlike Aeriela doing."

"She left dinner, what is she doing so wrong?" he asked.

"It's not just that! She wants to see Aydin, she wants to kill him. Ramses tricked and betrayed her, yet she wants to revenge him? No, she isn't strong enough and to announce that at dinner in front of our guest?" I coldly asked.

"Seem like something Lincoln would say." he said, making me breathe heavily out my nose.

I turned away, "I'm nothing like Lincoln."

"Where are you going?" he asked as I walked over towards the bedroom door.

"Alpha things I need to handle. My job." I said as I walked out of the room and over to my office. I sat down at my desk and ran my hands across my hair. No, Killian wrong because I'll never be like Lincoln. Aeriela was making things difficult in front of Tamaz and Zakaria. Then she decides to sneak out during dinner? It was terribly rude of her. There are times when I can't be the understanding sister and I got to do things that she won't like. I turned on my laptop and checked my emails where I was getting dozen confirms to meet me about raiding the wild rogue wolves.
