"...All 5 of the victims are in the ER as of now and are showing symptoms such as, pale skin, cold touch, and long sleep periods." "You see that?!" I almost jump up from my chair. Chase and I are inside of a cafe just hanging out. Lana had to go because she had to help her mother with chores, so Chase stayed with me. We were looking up at the TV on the wall, showing the news. "It could be something else y/n." "Huff, you know what? Maybe I am overreacting.....maybe just a little shook from what happened before" I lay back crossing my arms. The small bell at the door was ringing, as someone came in with a girl, almost same in height. The guy had on sunglasses and shiny black hair tied back in a loose, slightly messy man bun( buns of steel). He was nicely dressed, professional like almost. The girl had long black hair with a white stripe that reached her shoulders, sunglasses, and a nice looking outfit. The short sleeves shown her slight built. A lot of the girls looked back at the 2, even guys. I looked back and didn't realize I was staring. A few later I felt a hand squeeze mine, I quickly looked at Chase, "Come on." "What?" "Come on." he sounded a bit impatient. I grabbed my jacket and quickly left with Chase as he was tugging on me. We walked outside in a haste, and went down the sidewalk. It was the weekend so I was happy about that, I could decide if I wanted to go back to school or not. "Chase what is up with you?!" "Nothing! I was just ready to get out of there." "Chase every since that guy came in there you went all bezerk! Are you...jealous of someone? You seen him before?" "..." he kept tugging at my hand, holding it as we lead us through the crowd on the sidewalk, going somewhere, have no idea. "Chase! Where are we going?!" still no answer. "CHASE!" I yank my hand away and he stops. He took a step towards me, "Y/n, listen I'm sorry, its just that....that guy gave me the creeps." "Yeah totally! The creeps" I roll my eyes, "Y/n, this is serious, you need to stay away from him and that girl. I'm getting a bad feeling about that, people don't just drool over a guy the moment he just walked in a store! That's not normal!" "Well, I have to admit, he was pretty hot XD" I smirk, placing a finger over my lip. He facepalms, "Just stay away from him! You got me?" he grabs my shoulders gently. The expression on his face saddens, "I just don't want anything to happen to you"  his brown eyes looked in mine.

Lana pov

I sighed, washing dish after dish. Rinsing, drying, and stack. "Lana are you okay?" "I'm just thinking mom." 

"About what? You had a gloomy face the whole time" 

"Its, nothing" 

"Is it about your boyfriend again?" 

"He's not my boyfriend for the last time mom!" I roll my eyes.

 "Okay fine," she puts her hands up in a surrender, "Last time you told me, saying how good lookin' he was in that leather jacket and how he-" 

"Mom!!" 

"I'm done!.....he's not really supposed to wear the jacket outside of home, have no idea why." 

"Mmmmm. Well, I'm gonna go and find y/n, I finished my chores, can I go?" "Go on". I kissed my mom on the cheek and took off to the door, "Change your clothes!" "Oh! Forgot!" I skidded and whipped back, running into my room, and slapped on an outfit.

I ran out of the house saying another goodbye to my mom. I climbed down the tree for a shortcut. There was people walking everywhere, kids playing. All of us had a code, and a mark, everyone had a curve that was embedded in their skin, on their back. 

It just a hot piece of metal burned on the skin leaving a slight mark- but it only happens when you are sleep. Then one day you'll feel pain on some part of your back with a bandage on it. I decided to go somewhere else, to the huge garden that was somewhat behind the forest, I walked the way there, out of the forest area that slowly graduated into tall grasses and small vibrant colored flowers. Then the setting fog rolled in, the lake was always covered in fog somehow, but not too thick, I could still see a little bit.

 Far away on the other side of the lake is the...ahem, vampires-their residence. The sun peeks in on the lake further up  maybe somewhere in the middle so they can't get to us. On our part there's a 'naturally made' deck there I parted the grasses as I made my way through, hearing the small gentle drops of vapor drop into the water.  "Its been a long time since I was here" I look around, sitting down and taking off my back pack, ever since the attack two years ago, everyone was worried, but it settled down- yet some are a bit on the defensive side. I always carried a small knife with me, compact, and won't make a lot of noise. I looked at the lake, as the ripples were dancing on it. It was peaceful, in fact, but creepy, kinda empty, but it was more where you could be comfortable- a movement in the water distracted me from my thoughts. 

It was small pats on the water, then a rock landed near me. I jumped, having my knife out pointing at it before I knew it. "What the?" I mouthed, looking into the far distance of the fog smothered body of water. I heard the same thing again, another rock came onto shore but it slid into the rocks with a bit of force. How the-

I stood up and slowly found a flat rock, and skipped it with the hardest throw. "OW!" a small groan of pain came out. No more rocks came, "I can see you!" the voice echoed....it had a slight low pitch, a guy??? Suddenly a loud splash of water was near me I looked down and saw a guy with his head above the water and quickly grabbed my ankle making me fall, and my knife slipped from my hand accidentally cutting it. I grabbed anything: sticks, rocks ground, grass. Anything to keep me from being drowned. I heard a low laughter, and I screamed as loud as I could, but soon muffled by water. Her turned my face to his, I noticed his eyes and tried my hardest to look away an-

"LANA!" I was woken up by a  familiar voice. I jerked up, breathing hard, seeing the blue hair I knew from the corner of my eye. "Lana why are you here?!" I tried to control my breathing, I was shaking a bit. "Hey, hey, Lana calm down, everything's alright now. " I slowly controlled my breathing, and went into a sob. It felt so real, it was right here, are my clothes wet?! No.... how, why did I have a dream like that?  I received embrace from Chase, as I cried on his shoulder. my heart jumped a bit realizing, Chase is hugging me. I stop and jerk back, getting a confused look from him, I look in the water seeing nothing. "Was it that bad?" I nodded.  

"It happened right here" I trail off. "You know you shouldn't be here." "I know, I was just taking a visit! I was gonna find you and y/n after." "Well, we both*yawn* already came back" he yawns the rest out.  "Come on, I don't want it to get me too" he runs his fingers through his hair/scratches his head. I agree and he helped me up, grabbed my backpack and we walked on.

I'm sick. I caught a cold. It came at the wrong time cause apparently i have a hurricane comin' at me like come on bruh.
