"But mother! I didn't know it was pa-" "You should've had a watch with you!! And where was Lana and Chase?! They were supposed to be with you!!" she raises her voice. "Where Y/n?" "....I told them not to come with me. Adrien and I were doing finishing touches on our project...." I mumble. "Y/n I'm just really worried that's all. " "Well I do need to tell you something"

"I'm going to rate your presentations based on effort, team work, objects brought and overall presentation. When I call you and your partner's name, come up to the front in front of the board and be prepared to present."  "I brought the rose from the other day with me." Adrien brings it out. It was still a juicy red rose. "Marinette and Nathaniel"  

"Alright, go on when you're ready" Ms. Mendeleiev clicks her pen already writing things down on a clipboard. Marinette clears her throat, "Our project is about the reaction a lemon can have on grease and such." Marinette looks at Nathaniel and nods, "The elements a lemon can have is carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. Lemons are known to be one of the fruits with the highest citric acidity, and are popular in cleaning products." Nathaniel shyly explains, looking away from our gazing eyes, 

"I think both of you need lemons really bad, take a bath!" 

"Chloe!" Ms. Mendeleiev catches her. I kick my feet up on the desk and lay back, hearing a quiet laugh from Adrien. He has no idea the whole time, I'm trying to keep my cool around him! 

"As I was saying! The lemon's acidity can break down grease, grime, and maybe even Chloe's attitude" Marinette smirks, receiving a few laughs, 

"This is ridiculous!" Chloe growls silently.

 Marinette shows a lemon in her hand, "This benefits the objects its cleaning so there won't be any further problems!" The class claps, as Marinette and Nathaniel grab their things and move on to their seat, "Great job! Now lets see....." Ms. Mendeleiev looks at the class ".....Januis and Felix lets go!" everyone turned heads, looking at 2 of the most popular guys in the school. "Alright what is the object you're doing? I don't see anything" Ms. Mendeleiev says in question, Januis takes something out of his pocket, a few 'oohs' and 'ahhs' came from the front row of the class, it even grabbed Chloe's attention as well, "Januis, Felix, what is the beauty of and object you call?" "This here Ms. Mendeleiev, is a ring- the stone is an emerald"

 "Where did they find something like that at?" Adrien whispers. "Maybe Januis bought it." 

"But for a project?" 

"... It consists  elements  of chromium, Beryl and other elements." Felix explains, "How does it benefit a person or does it make any type of reaction?" Ms. Mendeleiev asks, "It does...a ladies happiness" Januis purrs. Ms. Mendeleiev was taken back by the response, as Januis places the ring in her hand.

"Our object is a rose" I start, "We did research on how a rose can react to sunlight and benefit itself from the process photosynthesis." Adrien says, I gave a few glances to random people in the class  and noticed Januis giving me a smirk. 

" Uhhhhh....Yeah! We even went to a rose garden to study the behaviors of the roses as well!" 

"Mhm. Y/n can you explain the...flower crowns on both of your heads? They're really beautiful! Did you buy those or?"

 "Actually, Ms. Mendeleiev, I made them myself and shown Adrien how to make one as well!" I smile, "Roses are red violets are blue, I really think roses don't suit a brat like you" Chloe comments, filing her nails. 

"Oooh!" 

I bit my lip, "Don't let her get to you" Adrien whispers to me. I took a breath, as Adrien explains more info, "And this benefits us because the rose breathes out oxygen, what we breathe in." 

" So we're basically helping each other survive." I finish out. "Lovely!" the bell rings, "If I didn't get to you today, you will present tomorrow." Ms. Mendeleiev says. Everyone was packing up and leaving, I made it to my desk, and packed up my things, I picked up my binder and saw a piece of paper folded. 

"Adrien are you okay?" I look at him as he was packing his things. "Yeah why?" 

"The whole presentation you looked like something was bothering you."

 "Its nothing."

 "You sure? The modeling thing isn't stressing you or anythi-" I was interrupted by  a loud scream, the others packed up quickly and ran out, "Y/n someone probably got akumatised again better get out of here quick!!" Marinette says before leaving. "I'll see you later Adrien!" I say and leave quickly finding a place to transform. I ran into the girls bathroom, only to find a bunch of girls there I quickly ran out, I ran into the janitors closet, transformed and went back out. I ran outside and looked around in the school. 

"Where is this akuma?!" another scream. Juleka ran out, "Shadow Hunter! Rose!" she was out of breath. That's the first time I heard her speak. "  ......Rose, someone is hurting her! The cafeteria!" "Gottcha!" I quickly ran into the cafeteria, seeing Rose on a table, unconscious. 

I took out my dagger and walked up to Rose, "Rose?" "...." "Rose? Roossseee? Wake up!" I stop realizing  I was in a school, I can't let these people see me do what I do! I stood over Rose. She jerks up and tries to grab for me, I jump back only to be grabbed by someone from behind, I stabbed my dagger in the person and she screamed, letting me go. I elbowed rose in the chin, knocking her back, "Sorry Rose!" a flying rod hit the vampire woman in the back of her head, I look and see Chat Noir, "About time you come!" "And about time I go!" the vampire zooms past me and grabs Rose, and both of them were gone in thin air. "She's taken too? Not Rose..."

 "You know her?" he nods.  I walk out of the cafeteria, "Shadow." he follows behind me into the main area of the school. I look at him, 

"Listen I have to go, I think school is still in session for you and I." I raise an eyebrow. 

"Please..." he holds my hand, "Meet me at patrol tonight." 

"Chat I don't patrol every night and you know that." "Ladybug said she quits." "What?!" my eyes widen. He looks around, suddenly picks me up and quickly runs outside and uses his staff to land us on a roof, 

"Ladybug told me that....this was too much for her." "...Are you saying she stopped-like as in stopped?!" "She told me the night after you met us, she was thinking about throwing in the towel. Saving people and her schedule wasn't mixing up too good for her Shadow." a sad expression washed over his face, even his ears and tail drooped. "She said....if you were wondering about her absence....she would like for you to be the next Ladybug of the town-to take you old spot back because you were the original in the first place....She returned her miraculous back to the Miraculous Keeper"

 "Chat..." I rested my shoulders. ".....I guess I can, but-" I stopped hearing numerous footsteps. Chat and I look down, "Looks like we don't have to worry about school anymore. It must've been cancelled. Its for the best.... wait, CANCELLED!? I got to go quick!" "Well go on." "See ya tonight!~" he sneaks a kiss on my cheek. My hand covered my cheek quick as he ran off extending his staff. "I know he didn't! That little-OOHH!" 

Why Rose? WHY?!
