Part 38

"Logan do you think I'm too childish?" Patton asked slumping down into his seat in the library at lunch next to his boyfriend with a frown.

Virgil had joined them today since Logan was tutoring him in Algebra II. The nerd looked to his friend in confusion, but Virgil simply shrugged.

"Is this one of those trick questions in relationships where no matter what way I answer I'm wrong?" Logan asked his boyfriend.

"No." Patton huffed a bit. "I just wanna know what you think."

"What even brought this thought to fruition?" Logan questioned.

"We had a pep meeting today and one of the members said I was really childish and everyone just kind of chuckled. He didn't say it in a particularly mean way, but I don't know it made me feel like I was just seen as a kid." Patton pouted.

"I see, well if you want me to answer legitimately, yes you are fairly childish, but I would not say you were 'too childish.' You are simply still able to find, how do I say... a youthful charm in things." Logan answered. "And if you are worried if you come across as a kid as you say, don't be, because you don't. You simply show an adorable persona of which it's hard not to be fond of."

Patton smiled suddenly sitting up excitably. "You think I'm adorable??"

Logan sighed a bit. "Is that really all you processed out what I just said?"

"You didn't answer me." Patton grabbed his arm shaking it lightly.

"It would be bad of me not to find my partner cute would it not?" Logan asked. "So to answer simply... yes, I find you quite adorable."

Patton's smile grew and he hugged his arm. "I think you're a cutie too Logan." He then turned to Virgil. "What about you Virgil?"

The emo boy seemed surprised he had been addressed. "What? What about me?"

"Do you think I'm too childish?" Patton asked.

Virgil smiled a bit seeming amused. "Nah Patton you're just fine."

Patton seemed happy with the answer and then looked to his boyfriend's lunch, "oh my god is that strawberry shortcake?"

"Oh yes, my mother brought it home from a party she had at work, and I recalled that it was your favorite, so I brought you some." Logan answered moving the container towards his boyfriend.

Patton completely lit up. "Thanks Logan, you're the best boyfriend ever!" He picked up the fork but then stopped before eating it.

"Is something wrong?" Logan questioned.

"Mm no it's just..." Patton trailed off holding the fork toward him with a smile. "Can you feed me?"

"What? Patton why would I feed you?" Logan asked.

"Oh come on, just a bit, it'll taste better that way." Patton pleaded.

"That makes no logical sense." The nerd debated.

"Logan~" he frowned a bit.

Logan sighed taking the fork. "Alright if it will provide you with more satisfaction." He gently stabbed through the pastry bringing the bite up to hold in front of him.

Patton smiled before eating it, chewing the soft spongey cake and tasting the sweet whipped frosting melt in his mouth quickly followed by the crisp fresh taste of strawberry.

"Mm." His smile grew as he met his partner's eyes with a nod. "It's really good."

"I'm gonna go find Roman." Virgil suddenly said, packing his things into his bag and standing.

"Roman?" Logan asked curiously.

"Yeah, anything's better then sitting her and watching you two melt into each other's eyes." He said the last five words with a dramatic and sarcastically dreamy tone before chuckling slightly. "We can tutor again in study hall. See you guys later."

"Bye Bye Virgil!" Patton stated while Logan simply gave him a wave as he walked out of the room. Patton then turned around pointing at the cake."More."

Logan just shook his head, before feeding him another bite. He then seemed to look at something behind them, putting the fork down. "There, just a bit correct?" He turned to face toward his own lunch.

Patton looked around for a moment, finding nothing out of place, before giving him a strange look. "Is something wrong?"

Logan shook his head. "No of course not."

Patton continued to frown however not seeming to believe him. "Are you sure?"

Logan smiled taking the boy's hand and bringing it to his lips to place a small kiss on top of it before slowly letting it go again. "Everything's fine Patton."

Patton felt himself smile at the gesture his cheeks tinting a light pink as he went back to eating on his own.

Ashton sat at the kitchen island in Jaxon's apartment watching as said groggy male wandered out from the bedroom, yawning and scratching the back of his head, before pouring himself a glass of juice. "Good morning." He then stated amongst another yawn.

"Morning." Ashton couldn't help but stifle a chuckle at the other's sleepy actions.

"You want breakfast?" Jaxson offered.

"You can cook?" Ashton asked raising a brow at him.

"Yeah, well you have to learn how to do many things when you're on your own." He replied taking some eggs and butter out of the fridge.

Ashton nodded his voice then taking on a sarcastic tone. "I'm just surprised little rich boy doesn't just have things catered to him."

Jaxon rolled his eyes. "Yeah yeah, whatever. Just because it's available doesn't mean I always use my parents money."

"Okay...sure." Ashton replied scanning his eyes around the nice looking apartment. "By the way, I took the trash out and your neighbor kept staring at me strangely."

"Really which one?" Jaxon asked as he continued preparing the food in front of him.

"The kind of older guy in 302 I think." Ashton replied.

"Oh, that's Dominic, he's a little nosey sometimes, but he really means no harm. He lives alone and is retired so he kind of gets into everyone's business in his free-time. He's nice when you get to know him though. The landlady who owns the building has to approve of anyone who lives here, so I know about everyone considering I had to wait a bit before I could move in. To be honest they all are a little nosey, but not in a bad way most of the time, kind of just like a family wanting to always know what's going on in your life because they're worried."

Ashton nodded slowly. "That's kind of weird."

"Really? I guess I don't see it that way. I find it more refreshing actually." He then smiled looking up and across at him. "It shows how even strangers can care so much about you."

"Like bringing you a welcoming fruitcake?" Ashton asked sarcastically with a small amused laugh.

"Or stopping on a freezing cold raining night to help talk a complete stranger out of making a really horrible decision." Jaxon stated softly his smile turning upward on one side slightly.

Ashton watched him for a moment before feeling the need to look away. "Could you hurry, I'm hungry?" he quickly changed the subject out of nerves.

Jaxon sighed. "Yes sir." He replied before going back to cooking.

-&-

Ashton was sitting in the living room chair playing a game on his phone while Jaxon was on the couch doing some work on his laptop. There was a knock at the door so Jaxon stood up to answer it.

"Oh hey Karen, what's up?" He asked casually.

Ashton's curiosity got the better of him so he joined him at the door.

The middle aged woman on the other side seemed slightly surprised by his presence. "Oh, hello I'm Karen the landlady, are you the one staying here with Jaxon?"

"Uh, Yeah this is Ashton, how'd you know he was here?" Jaxon asked leaning on the door frame.

"Dominic told me someone had been staying with you for a week." She replied looking back to him.

Jaxon sighed a bit. "I got snitched on Huh?"

"I don't mind you having a roommate Jaxon, but you know the rules I have to meet anyone who lives here, and approve." She crossed her arms frowning slightly.

"Well..." Jaxon seemed to think for a moment before suddenly getting an idea. "I know that, but here's the thing." He suddenly put an arm around Ashton pulling him closer. "Ashy here is my boyfriend, I moved back here just for him. We were planning on moving in together eventually, but we just can't seem to stay away from each other any longer, so him moving in was on a bit of a whim. I know I broke the rules, but can't he please stay, we love each other so much? Please I can't stand being away from him? Right babe?"

Ashton was surprised for a moment, but then quickly tried not to show it. He saw Jaxon smirking down at him and felt a bit of anger spark inside him. This arrogant little- he forced a smile. "Yes, I want to be with you baby." He then leaned up placing a short kiss on his cheek, seeming to take him by surprise slightly, a small amount of pink tinting his cheeks. Ashton bit back a chuckle, happy with his revenge.

"Oh my." Karen exclaimed slightly putting a hand over her mouth to hide her smile. "You didn't say that, of course he can stay with you then, I'm not one to rip young love apart." She seemed to be trying to contain a squeal. "Welcome to the complex Ashton, and I hope you two continue to be happy."

"Thanks Karen." Jaxon smiled. "Is there anything else you need?"

"Nope, I'll give you two your privacy now." She actually giggled a bit. "Goodbye."

"Bye Karen." Jaxon replied watching her walk down the hall a bit before closing the door and automatically bursting into laughter.

Ashton threw his arm off of him crossing his own in front of his chest, not seeming nearly as amused. "What the hell kind of excuse was that?"

"I told you-" Jaxon caught his breath for a moment. "I know everyone here, and it just so happens that Karen, is a sucker for romance. Whatever it is: gay, straight, young, old, she just loves love."

"Tch whatever, you realize now if she ever comes around we'll have to keep up the act right?" Ashton asked.

"Yeah yeah, but it won't be too difficult." Jaxon shrugged before a smug smile stretched across his face and he leaned down a bit closer to the younger male. "Besides, I expected you to go along with me, but kissing me really? Was that necessary or were you maybe enjoying it all a bit more then you're letting on?"

Ashton full on scoffed that time. "Please, it was on the cheek, which hardly means anything. Besides," he smirked. "I had to do something to cover up your horribly obvious acting."

Jaxon gave a small laugh at that. "Whatever, I'm gonna go shower, then we can go out for dinner, I'm too lazy to cook again." He walked to the bathroom without another word.

Logan and Patton were now at his house like they usually were after school and had already finished their homework.

Patton moved closer to his boyfriend on the couch and leaned into him, happily smiling to feel his familiar warmth.

Logan responded by wrapping an arm around him and pulling him in a little closer.

Patton smiled before suddenly sitting up, gaining an odd stare from the other. "Logan?" He turned on the couch to face him.

"What is it Patton?" Logan asked meeting his gaze.

"Will you kiss me?" He asked softly watching his eyes expectantly.

"What, Uh- why ask so suddenly?" Logan asked fighting off a blush and failing.

"I just feel like since we've started dating I'm the one who usually initiates things... I know it doesn't make much sense but I just want you to kiss me." Patton explained.

Logan took a deep breath before turning toward his boyfriend. He reached up gently taking the thick black frames from his face before doing the same with his own. "I recall you saying it's better without glasses."

Patton smiled nodding his head slightly. "Mhm." He then continued to patiently wait.

Logan gently took Patton's face between his hands before leaning in and pressing their lips together, his and Patton's eyes slowly closing. He felt Patton kiss back immediately and deepened the kiss, parting the other's lips a bit.

Patton couldn't help but smile into the kiss a bit before shifting, making sure not to break their lips apart as he moved to sit in his boyfriends lap, wrapping his legs around him. He felt Logan pull away for a moment and both of them took a breath, before their lips met again. He wrapped his arms around him as well, letting a hand snake around the other's neck.

Logan removed his hands from Patton's face and put them around his body instead. He had to break the kiss again both of them panting slightly.

"Logan..." Patton whimpered breathlessly against his lips before once again connecting them in a few short but deep kisses.

Logan then smiled a bit, kissing the shorter's forehead, causing him to giggle a bit. He then kissed the bridge of his nose followed by the tip of it. He turned his head to the side a bit kissing his cheek a few times. He then hesitated a moment before placing his lips on the others neck.

Patton was a little surprised, but hugged Logan tighter, pulling himself a bit closer as he felt the other continue the light kisses on his neck, growing a little less innocent as they went on.

Logan continued before eventually trailing up his chin and kissing his lips once again.

Patton of course returned the kiss immediately letting his hands glide around to Logan's chest.

Just as the kiss grew a bit heavier Logan suddenly pulled away taking a shaky breath, gaining a confused look from the other. He caught his breath before meeting his eyes again. "Sorry..."

Patton then smiled. "It's okay, we just got a little carried away." He moved his hands back up to his shoulders leaning away slightly. "We don't have to do anything you aren't ready for." He put his glasses back on. "Wanna watch a movie?"

Logan smiled seeming to show genuine gratitude. "Yes."

"And cuddle?" Patton then questioned raising his brow expectantly.

Logan chuckled a bit. "Yes."

Patton's smile grew as he got off of him to get the remote.

Logan put his glasses on wondering how he possibly won the heart of such an amazing person.

Hey guys, woah I feel like a lot happened and yet nothing happened in this part lmao. Let me know what you think. Ashton's story is still developing and of course there has to be plenty of logicality. How do you feel about their storylines right now? Tell me any guesses you have about what may happen, and also how you're liking the story. Vote and comment, bye!
