Evan was still getting scolded by the old woman when Rose left. Jacob started to wiggle in Evan's arms to the point where the old woman quit scolding him to tell him to put the poor kid down on the ground.

        "If you didn't let your little brother get away from you in the first place then that poor girl over there," said the old woman pointing to the place where Rose once stood and now where Jacob stood looking around.

       "Looks like she left, well I guess I am going to be leaving as well thanks, goodbye," Evan said swiftly. He speed walked over to his little brother and took him away as fast as he could so that he could get away from the woman. While walking to the bus stop Evan walked past an alleyway that was crawling with police and men were being loaded in the cars. Jacob hid his face in his brother's shoulder and started crying. Hearing the wails of the little boy the police officers and the men that were being loaded in flinched. One of the men recognized the little boy in his arms.

       "GET THAT KID AWAY FROM HERE!!!! IF HE DIDN'T CALL OUT FOR HELP THEN WE WOULD HAVE GOTTEN AWAY WITH OUR JOB!!! THAT LITTLE PUNK CALLED A STRONG ASS BITCH AND WE ALL GOT HURT!!!" He yelled. Evan looked down at his wailing brother and he snapped. Using vampire speed he ran up to the man with glowing red eyes.

       "You wanna say that again? If you punks didn't chase us then separate me from my brother then try to kill him, you probably wouldn't have ended up like this," Evan said in a very low tone. He kept his brother very close to him as he said this, acting like a shield trying to protect him from the nightmares that were sure to soon come after this whole ordeal.

        "Son I know that you are very angry about this happening to your little brother, but we need to get these men out of here," The officer said.

       "Of course, do you know who saved my brother? I would like to say thank you to him," Evan said.

       "Blacky!!" His little brother squealed.

      "It was a pretty girl in all black with a mask on. She was the girl that saved me, not boy it was girl!!" Jacob said again.

       "Was it the girl from before that saved you?" Evan asked, suddenly feeling slightly bad for yelling at her.

       "Yeah Yeah!!!" His little brother squealed again. Evan went around and started asking other witnesses, they all confirmed his little brother story. Finally after the police said that they could go he was able to make it to the bus stop with all of their stuff, only to see it starting to drive away. Rose noticed that the boy from earlier and Jacob were trying to make it to the bus stop, since she was sitting by the bus driver she tapped him on the shoulder and pointed to the two boys running with backpacks to catch the bus. 

      "Since you asked me to I guess I will let them on," said the bus driver with a sigh. Rose nodded her head in thanks and put in some headphones. Evan noticed that the bus stopped, he picked up speed picking up his little brother and ran to the bus, getting on he took a seat near the front.

      "I am guessing you two are new here," the bus driver said. Evan noticed that he had wolf ears and a tail, his canines were sharper than a human's, but duller than that of a vampire.

      "Yeah we are, today has been very hectic," Evan stated. He suddenly got hit in the back of the head with something, turning around he finally looked at all of the other students, assessing all of them, while being watched himself. Evan saw a girl with webbed fingers, large eyes, blue-ish skin with black dots, she seemed to be a cross between a mermaid and a human. Looking around moore Evan saw ghouls, humans would call them "bad boys" they were good looking to most people, but if you pissed them off and got them in their true forms then watch out. He saw other vampires like himself, they were snobs, he didn't want to hang out with them. He saw the "populars" those were all sirens. The boys were just as dangerous as the girls, many people believe that only females can be sirens, and that cost them their lives.

       "Hey Jacob?" Jacob looked up at Evan since he was sitting in his lap.

      "Yes Evan?" Jacob said having a little trouble with the v in his name making Evan smile.

      "Remember the rest of my friends? Like Brock, Lui, Tyler, and Jonny?" Evan asked. Jacob nodded at him with a big smile, squirming in his lap.

      "Well guess what, you get to see ALL of them before and after school!!!" Evan exclaimed. Jacob started bouncing in his lap making Evan laugh at how cute he is.

      "Sydney is even going to be there," Evan said. Jacob stopped everything for a minute and started to cry, making people look at him.

      "I-I don't like her!!" He cried. Evan looked down at his crying brother and gave a small smile, he knew that something happened, but he just didn't know what, and it was starting to get on his nerves, neither his brother nor Sydney would tell him what happened. Evan rocked his brother in his arms and cooed in his ear, but with his senses he heard someone start humming, and once they did his brother started to calm down and look around. Finally getting to the school everyone was in a rush to get off the bus so they could go talk to friends. Evan saw, more like heard Tyler as he got off of the bus. Grabbing his little brother and both of their backpacks he walked over to the rest of the guys finding them to all be there.

     "Hey guys!! Man it's good to have the whole gang back together again," Evan said. There was a chorus of yeahs that rang through the group.

     "Looks like you brought your brother with you to high school?" Jonathan asked with a questioning gaze while cocking his masked face to the side.

     "Yeah, there's a daycare really close by, I was going to ask if anyone wanted to go with me to drop him off," Evan said, while watching his little brother mess with the guys. They were all so gentle to him.

       "Sure I'm down, I dropped off Ace at a daycare earlier too, what's the daycare's name?" asked Brock, while ruffling Jacob's hair.

      "Sunshine Valley!!" Jacob jumped up and down happily.

     "Sunshine Valley was the place I dropped Ace off at, why don't we go and drop him off before school," Brock suggested. Most of the other guys wanted to go with the two, so they all went down to the daycare to drop off Jacob and make sure that he got to hang out with their little brother as well, Tyler, Brock, Marcel, and David all had little brothers. Rose had been watching over Jacob like a hawk. The boy that was with Jacob before was indeed his brother, she could see the incredible resemblance. She notciced that as soon as Jacob's brother got there they all acted tough and mighty almost like they thought they owned the place. "It's getting really tiring calling him Jacob's brother. Why not call him honey-eyes?" One of the voices suggested. Rose nodded her head, "Yeah that sounds just about right," she thought back. 

       "What do we have here?" asked a voice that everyone in her knew all too well, Sydney. Rose closed her eyes and turned around swiftly with attitude.

      "What you doing you freak? Why are you watching our boyfriends?" asked Sydney, while the rest of the girls behind, the queen bitch nodded. Rose pointed out to the boys that were just getting ready to leave and bring Jacob to daycare and then pointed back at Sydney and the rest of the girls. Rose bent over slightly then slapped her knee while "wiping" a tear from her mask, in mock laughter. Sydney and the rest of the Porcelain Dolls from Hell looked angry. Rose sighed and started walking away Sydney grabbed Rose's shoulder, Rose already knew what was coming, "Great getting beat up like we're weak on the first day of school. Better lower my defenses so they don't get hurt." Thought Rose. Several growls were heard in her head, but in the end they all knew that she was correct, that hiding amongst them is better than anything else. Sydney spun Rose around, using her siren powers she used some strength and hit Rose in the face. (Play song skip to 22 seconds in) The area around the girls changed into a dark landscape. Rose could hear ghouls and other creatures that go bump in the night, listening to her surroundings she heard many things. Hearing the deep breaths of ghouls and sirens she closed her eyes and became one with all of her animals. Keeping her eyes closed she used the shadows to her advantage and felt around for the Porcelain Dolls. They were surrounding her. Hearing their heartbeats and the blood flowing through their veins, being able to see them without looking she knew everything that was coming her way. Dodging the fist that was directed at her she decided that she would only dodge a few of the blows she was sure to receive. She felt another girl start to move in on her left, sidestepping her and sticking out her foot the girl tripped and fell on another girl. Another fist approached her face, she let it hit, slightly moving her face to the left to look like it was a very powerful blow. The girl then "disappeared." Rose still knew where she was even with her eyes closed. Rose started to get very pissed off that they kept trying to attack feeling the wind respond to her, she had to calm down. Acting once again like a very weak hybrid, letting more hits land on her, she looked pretty beat up, but in truth if she really wanted those wounds wouldn't have even appeared. Evan and his friends were just getting back from dropping off Jacob, when he saw them. Their girlfriend were beating up the girl that saved Jacob. Evan pushed through the crowd and the guys followed, they were confused by his behavior. Evan stopped at the front and saw Rose standing there. She was in her black trench coat her mask was still on, and there was still a dark abyss where her eyes should be. The girls were hitting her and beating her up. Evan felt a hatred for Sydney start to build up in his chest, feeling the mood shift in the air, the girls looked at Evan. The principal pushed through the crowd, and looked around, seeing a bloodied Rose she started to bark out orders.

     "Alright," she yelled, "Who started it!!"

     "Rose did, she was making fun of us," Sydney complained pointing towards her, all the girls nodded and put on innocent faces.

     "Is that true Ms. Gwyllgi?" asked the principal, giving her a look saying don't lie. Rose just shrugged her shoulders, she started making very fast hand motions.

      "Really? So you messed with them so bad that they had to hurt you?" asked the principal, Mrs. Auburn. Rose nodded and then started walking away from the crowd. Evan was looking curiously at Rose, Sydney looked between the two very fast, but then walked up to Evan putting herself all over him.

        "Hey baby," said Sydney trying to seduce Evan. Evan looked down for a split second, but as soon as he looked up again Rose disappeared in the crowd.

       "Hey Syd," Evan said with a sigh while he looked down at the girl attached to his arm.

       "How have you been? Did you miss me? I am so glad that your parents moved because now we can be together," she squealed in his ear making him wince. Looking at his friends the same thing was happening to them. 

       "I'm better now that I am with you again," Evan said, just to please Sydney. She smiled at him and gave him a big sloppy kiss. Evan felt appalled at the fact she was kissing him.

       "Baby?" Sydney asked after she was done sucking the life out of him.

       "Yes?"

      "I need you guys to do me a favor," She said while she started talking to the rest of the guys. 

       "More like we need you to do us a favor," said Autumn, Delirious's girl.

       "If you ever see that girl, Rose, we want you to make her life a living hell," said Sydney with an evil glint in her eye. Evan looked around at the rest of the guys and gulped. "Wait so Rose is her name? Her full name is Rose Gwyllgi, that's pretty cool, but isn't a Gwyllgi a type of demon dog? Isn't it also referred to as The Dog of Darkness?" He thought to himself while asking his owl and vampire. 

       "And what if I don't want to?" asked Delirious with a clear sign of defiance in his eye. Mini, Lui, CaRtOoNz, and Moo all nodded in agreement. Sydney's eyes darkened.

       "Then we'll make you do it," she said, "So will you do it, or will we have to use our 'resources,'" She asked. They all nodded at her.

       "Goodie!!! Now let's get you to your class," Sydney said, dragging Evan by his arm. "Welcome to Hybrid School," Evan thought sarcastically, "Have a fun time picking on people again."
