Jimin- Wrong Number

I was sitting at school. The class was particularly boring. I silently sighted hoping that my teacher couldn't hear it, everyone seemed devastated. Mondays, who loves them anyways?

Suddenly out of nowhere I felt my phone vibrating in my pocket. I quickly looked around checking if no one saw, most of the people were too worked up, I guessed they wouldn't react even if the president walked in to the room and announced the war. But some were looking at me like their biggest enemy. Stop looking at me you nerd! I stuck my tongue out for them and they turned around.

They're just jealous because no one calls them.

I took my phone out carefully, but the teacher was too focused on lecturing some kid, who dared to throw a paper plane at her. I looked at the screen, but there was no name, only a number.

I tried to recognize the calling person's number, but I just rolled my eyes giving up. Who remember number when you can just safe them in your phone? I just held my hand up hoping that teacher will notice me sooner than the person on the other end hangs up.

And luckily she did, surprisingly, she didn't question me and just excused me.

I went to the hall and picked up the call. I waited few second before deciding to start talking myself.

"Hello?"

"Hi?"

Person on the other end seemed just as confused as me.

"Excuse me, but who are you?"

"Lesly? It's me, Jimin!"

I thought about what he said for a second. My name wasn't Lesly.

"Sorry, you got the wrong number, this isn't Lesly."

I informed him and was about to hang up, but I heard him shout.

"Wait! Don't hang up!"

"I'm sorry Jimin," I remembered his name "but I'm no Lesly and I have a class."

"So do I."

He stated, it looked like he was very proud of his actions. Maybe I didn't like school and even hated Mondays, but I still needed my education.

"Jimin, can I help you with something?"

I was bored and annoyed, I had no idea who this guy was and he was interfering with my learning, or should I say, sleeping schedule, since everyone was pretty much asleep in class, except those few nerds, who tried to kill me with their stares.

"Can I meet you on lunch break?"

I gasped. Do this guy goes to my school?

"Do we even attended the same school?"

I asked him unsure.

"Yes, Merilyn High. Meet me at the back yard when the lunch starts!"

My eyes got bigger as I scanned the screen with Jimin's number on it. He was looking for Lesly girl, but he knew what school I went to... His call didn't seem like an accident anymore.

I shook my head getting rid of all the crazy scenarios about him planning to kidnap or even murder me. Qu incidence? Yeah, sounds about right. I got back to the class, but the only thing on my mind now was this Jimin guy. I caught myself wondering how he looked like. How old is he? Have I ever met him? Millions of questions were running through my mind.

The teacher got back to writing on the board so I just attempted to play on my phone for the rest of the class. Jimin's name was still in front of my eyes, so I decided to save his number while I'm at it.

I chuckled as I thought of snapping a photo of him right away when I see him, so just I could have a contact profile picture. The same nerd group turned to me again. They were probably thinking how to roast me, or slay the villain, that I was, with their light swords. But I didn't worry, there was a superhero with big J on his chest that could save me. Since when did I turned to be this geeky?

The bell ringed and teacher immediately dismissed the class, which shockingly made me like her a bit more, because most of the teachers liked to keep the class for way longer after hearing a bell ring. "Bell is for me and not for you, students." I could imagine that this phrase will be haunting me even many years after graduating.

I still had one more class before lunch and unfortunately it became a torture. I couldn't sit straight, I was always on the edge of the seat. The girl beside me, I don't know if I should consider her my friend, just glanced at me like a total weirdo. But I didn't care.

Every time the door opened and someone walked in the class I would immediately look up searching for the guy, who called me. It was so silly since I didn't know which grade he was in and most importantly how did he looked in general.

The bell ringed and I just jumped from the desk scaring the girl next to me. Everyone was still sitting in their places and looked at me. I blushed, but didn't sit down. The heath was taking over and I could hear blood rushing in my veins I was super excited and nervous.

"Miss, where do you think you're going?"

My teacher, a middle aged man with a bear and glasses, which made him look like Santa Claus, asked.

"To meet my destiny." I mumbled silently making people closer to me laugh. "I have to go, please, please, let me go!" I said louder so the teacher wouldn't assume I cursed him under my breathe since many student laughed after my mumbling.

"Alright." He flashed a smile. "I wasn't going to keep you guys any longer anyways, just don't jump out your set like that miss."

I looked at him with unsure expression. Everyone seemed way too nice today.

"Thank you, have a good day."

I said to him and waved before leaving. Hey, maybe he was Santa Claus after all? Well when, I was satisfied with his early gift of letting us all go and have our lunch break.

I walked past Cafeteria and heard my stomach growl. I sadly followed people, who was walking in to the food palace, with my eyes. If I get to meet Jimin, he owns me lunch. I walked out the school and reached the yard, there was very few people there so it shouldn't have been hard to find Jimin. Except I didn't know what was I looking for.

I walked up to the first guy I noticed and just tapped him on the shoulder. He turned around and deep dark eyes pierced me. He was just a bit taller than me and his black hair, which he tried to hid under the cap, was falling on to his forehead.

"Excuse me, are you Jimin by any chance?"

I approached him shyly. Guy didn't seem amused, but answered me patiently.

"Who?"

It was enough to understand it wasn't my mysterious caller. The guy walked past me glancing from above his shoulder from time to time, I flashed an apologetic smile and kept on walking.

Soon I started to realize that I couldn't find any more guys. I started to wonder if it was a trap or a prank call form one of my friend's or worst, frenemy's. Just when I was about to go back to school and enjoy the little time left before the next class, and swallow the disappointment while doing so, someone covered my eyes with palms.

"Hey."

Chills went down my spine. Was that Jimin?

"Hi?"

"Looking for someone?"

I had almost no doubts left that it was the mysterious guy, who called me earlier.

"Yeah, he's name is Jimin."

The person took his hand off my face and I could see again, he grabbed me by my shoulder and made me turned around to one of the trees before I could look back and check him out.

There was a red blanket with a tiny picnic set on it. I started at it like it was the first time I ever saw food, and with my luck... my stomach growled again. The sweet chuckle reached my ears and I finally turned around making an eyes contact with the guy.

The same guy, who just questioned who Jimin was.

"I guess I was right by preparing a little snack for us."

He grinned at me and took his hand off of me seeing that it made me feel more and more uncomfortable with every second.

"Is this some sort of prank?"

"Yes...And no!"

He quickly corrected himself after seeing a hurt expression on my face.

"Jimin, if that's your name." I angrily mumbled. "What's going on, I said to you already I'm no Lesly!"

He pretended to think about it for a second and when his face lightened up.

"Of course you're not. I don't even know any Lesly."

That didn't make things any clearer. I had to admit the guy was pretty handsome, I scolded myself for not noticing him earlier.

"I'm sorry, but I didn't dial a wrong number. I just didn't know how to approach you."

My blood boiled inside me.

"How did you get my number?"

I didn't know how to feel, excited because this boys wanted to approach me or scared, because he probably knew something about me if he thought about approaching me.

"You friend-"

"That little back stab-"

"No! Don't say anything bad about your friend! You can only blame me, I couldn't resist your gorgeous face." He cut me off and made me blush. My face is gorgeous? "Yes." He smiled at me looking very cute. Wait, did I just asked that out loud? "If you're wondering, yes, you said that out loud."

I looked at him like at some kind of psychic. I started smiling.

"How do you know me?"

"I saw you everywhere, many guys were after you and I though... I won't get a chance, so I came up with is. I wanted it to be something, well, different."

He started looking at his shoe laces and playing with his fingers out of embarrassment, I almost chuckled that's how cute he looked.

"Well it's definitely surprising."

He looked up at me stunned and relieved after hearing my approval.

"You're hungry?"

"Starving."

I confessed.

"The lunch is almost over, but I prepared picnic for us."

He nodded toward the red blanket and a picnic basket.

"I wouldn't mind skipping a class or two."

He seemed so happy about my answer, like I just told him that he won a Nobel Prize or something.

"Me neither."

"Is this a date?'

I asked checking. I thought of all possible horror scenarios filled with awkwardness if he only wanted to be friends.

"Yes, yes it is."

He smiled before pulling me in to a hug.
