It was late in the evening and everyone was at the dinner table, engaging in family-friendly conversations while eating a warmer dinner made by Amy Rose.
"Wow! You're really good, Miss Amy!" Silver complimented as he swallowed the last of his food. For all his life, he had never had anything with such rich flavour and warmth.
"Oh please, it's nothing." Amy replied, taking the empty dishes and plates off the table. "And just call me Amy."
"Alright, Amy." Smiling, Silver watched Amy take the dishes to the kitchen. Once she was gone, he turned his attention to his brothers at the opposite side of the table.

"How long have you all lived together?"
"Only a few months, the townspeople built this right after we defeated Baldy MacNosehair." Shadow choked on his glass of water that he was drinking out of, his giggles and chuckles filled the room as he tried not to laugh or choke even more. That nickname really caught him off guard.
"W-W-What did you just say?" He asked between his laughs, after the water went down his throat of course.
"What? Baldy MacNosehair?"
Shadow burst out laughing, placing his glass on the table as he did so. Man, if he did meet this Baldy MacNosehair guy, he would just joke with him all day long. It felt like minutes, but Shadow eventually calmed down and now he's just embarrassed. He has never laughed like that in front of anyone, wonder how his own brothers would react.
"Sorry," He cleared his throat. "I don't normally laugh like that, but you caught me off guard."
"Don't worry about it," Sonic answered, that same cocky smile he would always have was painted across his face. "I've made so many people laugh with that one nickname."

The three of them spent a good time of their evening continuing to know each other, their own stories never ended. Sonic's involved his battles with MacNosehair, Shadow's involved his own battles on Bloodshed and Silver's involved his young days with Blaze. They would've kept talking all night if it weren't for Amy coming up to them and said.
"We're having a pool party!"

"We're what?" Sonic was shocked. Doesn't Amy know that he is scared of water? That's why he never used the pool, he was terrified.
"You heard me, Sonic! We're having a pool party!"

Sonic almost fainted.
