❝ are you two dating or what? ❞

Rosalind proved herself to be useful by getting Silva a pardon. Sabrina was sure that she had some sort of ulterior motive for it, just like she had for everything.
While she thought that she was telling the truth at the banquet, she had a theory that she was still hiding something. She looked far too suspicious to be on their side.
She was not entirely sure if she was telling the truth about Bloom having the Dragon Flame either. Sure, she had trust issues her entire life but who could blame her? Because of Rosalind's second revelation at the banquet, Bloom was once again the talk of the school.
In the meantime, Sabrina was spending a suspicious amount of time with Riven. Her roommates were making a big deal out of it which she chose to ignore. Whenever she would come to their dorm late, she would get bombarded by questions.
All of the time that Sabrina previously spent hooking up with Regulus was replaced by the time she was currently spending with Riven. But contrary to popular belief, they were not sleeping together. They did not even kiss. Sabrina refused to play with his feelings because she was not sure if she was ready for a relationship with everything going on.
However, things between them were different. They became more touchy and comfortable with each other. He let her sleep in the same bed as him when she would get bad dreams despite the magic gift she received from Dowling the previous term. Despite the fact that her nightmares no longer had any effect on her surroundings, they still affected her mentally.
Which was how she found herself skipping class a couple of times and sleeping in Riven and Sky's dorm. It was quiet and she would be asleep peacefully when Sky was not there (she could not handle his fears while he was awake).
She heard her alarm ring from deep in her sleep and turned it off without even opening her eyes. Sabrina was surrounded by the smell of Riven's cologne that was left all over his pillow. She subconsciously breathed it in and opened her eyes, looking around the dimmed room to see she was the only one there. That meant that the boys were probably at practice which did not surprise her. After Rosalind's secret was revealed, she made the Specialists train more often.
Every single person Sabrina knew helped with something. Flora and Terra studied the monster attacking fairies. Musa was helping the Specialists as a mind fairy. Sky, Brandon and Riven trained to protect the school. Bloom had the Dragon Flame. Even Beatrix had some sort of mission that Rosalind sent her on. What was Sabrina doing? Hiding from her mother and sleeping all day so she would not feel the pressure of her powers as much.
Rosalind became completely focused on Bloom after revealing her powers which meant she had no need for Sabrina. Katherine, on the other hand, wanted to expand her daughter's abilities while Sabrina wanted to lock them away.
Stella was just as unenthusiastic as Sabrina when it came to helping. She locked herself in a room for most of the day but for an entirely different reason. After the banquet, Sabrina asked her what "the gem" that her uncle mentioned was. The blonde told her it was a gem that Rosalind put in her back to forbid her from leaving the barrier around the school. The gem was undoubtedly sent by her mother.
Sabrina never wanted to assassinate the Queen that much.
She lifted her phone and her eyes squinted at the high brightness and she barely read out the message from Musa on her screen.
pigtails:
we're hitting up this pub in blackbridge later
rosalind is out today
Sabrina noticed that she sent the text a couple of minutes ago so she had time to get ready.

Their entire dorm room was getting ready to go out besides Stella. She lied her way out of it by saying a princess like her should not be seen in a dirty pub. They also invited some of the Specialists to join them.
Sabrina was wearing a simple black knee-length dress and her hair was straightened. The rest of her friends looked gorgeous as they all entered the pub. They sat on a table and started ordering drinks.
When the Specialists entered the pub, Sabrina was already a bit tipsy. She jumped the second she saw them walk in and rushed to hug Riven. His arms wrapped around her waist and he stumbled in surprise for a moment. She pulled away, flashed him a smile and placed a short kiss on his cheek. Then, she moved to give Brandon a short hug while Bloom and Sky embraced next to them. Aisha walked over to Grey and they started a quiet conversation with shy smiles on their faces.
The two fairies followed their friends to their table and more shots started coming their way.
They danced, drank, mixed alcohol and played games until their feet hurt. Sabrina found herself sitting at the table with Flora, Musa and Terra an hour later as they waited for Riven to bring them their drinks. In the meantime, Tecna was sweet-talking a cute ginger Specialist next to the bar.
"Okay, ladies," Riven grinned and sat down four glasses on the table. He looked at Flora and pushed her drink in front of her. "I figured you for an IPA kinda girl. Yeah? Crisp, packs a punch." He passed the next glass to Musa. "Stout for the mind fairy. Smooth, take your mind off all the emotional shit."
Musa chuckled, endeared. "Thanks, Riv."
"For you, Terra, cider." Riven grinned boyishly. "It's got a bit of alcohol, but basically just a fizzy glass of apple juice."
Terra took a sip and smiled. "That's really lovely. Thank you." They all knew she didn't really drink.
Sabrina grinned from ear to ear. She loved how nice he actually became during the past year. Her friends became his friends and he was never an asshole to them. He became more mature when it came to the way he treated other people.
"Here is a whiskey coke because I know you hate beer." Riven announced as he handed Sabrina the drink assigned to her.
"Thanks." She smiled and absentmindedly leaned into his side, not registering the fact that he wrapped one of his arms around her.
Riven leaned down to whisper in her ear, "I know I already told you how gorgeous you look but I have the need to say it again."
Sabrina chuckled and turned her head to meet his eye. Her breath hitched when she noticed how close their faces were to one another. "Thanks..."
"So, are you two dating or what?" Flora asked them bluntly, with a curious look in her eyes. The two "friends" stared at her with their eyes wide open.
"No." Musa answered for them with a coy smile on her face. "Everyone thinks they are but they're not. They are just friends with intense sexual tension." She raised a knowing eyebrow at them. "For now."
Sabrina rolled her eyes and grabbed Riven's hand. "Let's go dance, Riv. Let them sulk in the corner alone."
She refused to ruin the most stable relationship she had at the moment. If she lost Riven after fucking up and breaking his heart, she would regret it for the rest of her life.
Riven twirled her around the dance floor and she laughed as they sang the song that was currently echoing around the pub.
Soon enough, even Bloom and Sky joined them. Sabrina's Twin Flame was reluctant to drink or even let loose that day in case anything bad happened. She was happy that Sky at least got her to dance.
Sabrina wrapped her arms around Riven's neck and he pulled her closer by her waist. She continued singing and he let out a short laugh. He looked over her shoulder for a moment and immediately rolled his eyes.
His hands fell from her waist and she took a step back to give him a concerned look. "What?" She shouted over the music.
He shook his head and made his way outside. Sabrina looked behind herself to see what provoked him enough to get him to leave. She was surprised to see Terra looking at her intensely, a frown on her face.
Sabrina's eyebrows furrowed in confusion and she moved to follow Riven outside. When she exited the pub, she saw him sitting alone at a table while leaning against the wall behind him.
"Are you okay?" She asked him, her voice still hoarse from the singing. She sat down and he nodded after taking a hit of his cigarette. She grabbed his pack and took a cigarette of her own while giving him an unimpressed look. "You are a terrible liar. Pass me a lighter and tell me what ruined your mood in less than a second."
Riven sighed and passed her his lighter. "You sure you want to smoke right now? Won't your friends get pissed?"
She lit the cigarette and her eyebrows furrowed at his words. "They know I smoke sometimes. What did Terra..."
"There you are!" Terra exclaimed from behind Sabrina and walked up to their table with a large grin on her face. Her eyes were set on Sabrina as she asked, "How do you feel about darts? Me and Flora versus you and..."
"What did you say to him?" Sabrina cut her off sharply, annoyed by her mood shift.
Terra's smile dropped and she glared at Riven. "You just couldn't leave it alone, could you?"
Riven shrugged. "I didn't say anything." He sighed and got to his feet. "Ta-da; drama."
Sabrina shook her head and got up to follow him inside, the silence from Terra becoming aggravating. Before she could walk away, Terra's voice stopped her.
"I was just looking out for you." She said, "He's not a good guy."
"Trust me, Terra, I know him much longer and much better than you." Sabrina snapped, her glare so harsh it made Terra's blood run cold. She had never been on the receiving end of Sabrina Jackson's anger before. "You don't see me messing with your relationships so stay away from mine. Then again, that must be because you don't have any. Think hard on that one, Terra."
