After finally delivering the letter,
Arthur and Alfred walked around town for a bit. They conversed about random things mostly from Alfred. As they were walking, Arthur's stomach growled. Arthur blushed in embarrassment and tried to hide his face. Alfred just started laughing and patted Arthur on the shoulder.

"Stop laughing please. It's embarrassing enough..." Shyly Arthur looked away blushing.

"Haha! Sorry man. Hey! Why don't we go get something to eat?"

It was still close to lunch time, but Alfred for some reason was hungry, again, after eating almost two hours ago.

"Very well. What places are around to eat at?"

"Oh, well there's a BBQ place that way, a burger shop over there, a bakery over there across the street, an ice cream shop over here, and-"

Alfred was cut off by Arthur laughing. Alfred looked at him and began to blush. Arthur had the best smile and laugh he had ever seen or heard. Alfred was very confused as to why his chest felt tight and that he had these thoughts about Arthur. He was just staring, admiring the way Arthur looked. Regardless of his eyebrows being huge. He was then startled when Arthur spoke to him.

"Hey, are you alright? Your face is red."

Alfred shook his head, clearing his mind of what he was thinking. He gave a big grin and replied.

"Yeah! I'm fine! I was just thinking of something."

Arthur raised a bushy eyebrow looking at Alfred.

"What were you thinking about? Also, why were you staring?" Arthur asked with suspicion.

Alfred twitched at the question, but quickly replied.

"Huh? Oh! I was starting to think about food and sort of just blanked out. Eheheh..."

Alfred was nervously waving his hands in front of his face. Hoping he convinced Arthur.

"Okay then. If you insist. Um, how about we go to that ice cream shop? I'm in the mood for something cold."

Alfred gave Arthur a big smile and they headed toward the ice cream shop.

Arriving at the shop, they both ordered their ice cream and sat down at one of the tables outside. They had small conversations here and there. Talking about what England was like mostly. Alfred suddenly had an itch under his eye and when he went to scratch it he looked down. He gaped at what he saw. He couldn't believe his chest was glowing. Alfred then slowly sank in his chair while slowly zipping up his jacket.

"I can't believe this is happening right now..." He accidentally whispered out loud.

"Can't believe what is happening right now? Why are you sitting like that?" Arthur asked very confused.

"Ah!" Alfred shot up in his chair and stuttered a reply.

"I, uh... I was j-just getting cold a-and was trying to warm m-myself up."

"But it's 70° out here. How are you cold?"

"I just am. I get cold easily."

Alfred tried to sound as convincing as he could, but he spoke in a nervous tone of voice. Arthur became suspicious and leaned closer to Alfred to look in his eyes. He hadn't realized how blue they were before and became entranced by them. At the same time Alfred noticed how green Arthur's emerald eyes were.

They both stared at each other. Neither moving an inch. Both only broke from the trance after they heard a group of girls giggle. At the same time Arthur and Alfred blushed such a bright red and quickly looked away from each other.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to stare and stay there so long..." Arthur shyly covered his eyes, trying to conceal his embarrassment.

Alfred was trying to recover. "Trying." He was so sure if he'd been looking into Arthur's eyes for much longer he would have became a lantern.

Both the men just sat there, not daring to look at each other for quite a while.
