Prologue
Prologue
The council sat around the circle table. The groups of different creatures leaders were the council, all speaking out to help their kind.
The Magical kingdom was the lead. It consisted of creatures known as wizards, witches, sorcerers, etcetera. Their right hand men were the kingdom of the fairies, along with the Giants. The other members that were allied to the Magical kingdom were the Water creatures, Wooden creatures, and the mountain dwelling creatures.
The enemies at the table where the werewolves, vampires, trolls, the deceased, and the hell creatures. They disliked the magical kingdom and its allies. The two that were neutral to everything were the Elves and the Humans.
The Leader of the magical kingdom smiled gently, trying to calm her enemies. "We all want peace Bulfred. No one wants to go to war. Only ten years have passed since the last war. We of the Magical Kingdom hereby declare-"
"See, this is why we dislike you people." Bulfred, leader of the Werewolves, said. "You think we will just listen to you because you are the biggest kingdom at this table."
A few mumbles from the enemy side came. The allies' faces screwed up in annoyance.
"Bulfred, we just want peace. We lost too many fairies in that war. Many little ones without fathers, even mothers, some with no family at all." Wix, the leader of the fairies said, pulling a shred of blonde hair behind his ear.
"Please, gentlemen, ladies, let's try not to start a war here-"
"You started one the day you tried to command all of us! Back me up here Vapor!"
"Yes..." Vapor, leader of the Vampires said. "We, the vampires, have recently been preparing for a fight. My place has been put into poverty. Some have been decided get to uprise and attack the humans, because they are that hungry."
The human leader's face grew pale. He started murmuring to himself.
"Vapor," the magical leader said "aren't there animals you can use as food? We provided enough, at least-"
"Madam, we have no food. Those animals? They all died. Disease, poverty, murder, etcetera."
"I insist you stop interrupting me! " the magical kingdom leader said, pounding her fist against the table, causing a giant surface crack to spread all the way across the table, dividing the enemies from the allies. The neutrals were right in the middle.
The Giants' leader sat up, about ready to pull of a leather strap that hung around his neck. On it as a small blue crystal. "Gregor, sit. We would rather not have anymore things broken."
Gregor sat, and fiddled with it.
Zenix, leader of the deceased, looked at them. His cold white eyes shown with unusual anger. "Written in the old scrolls...the creatures of the world will be divided, rich vs the poor. Two shall be neutral, but choose sides out of pure anger. It shall hopefully be balanced, but one can never know."
The leader of the Magical Kingdom sighed. A strand of red hair fell out of her hair, which was piled on to he top of her head. "It was, as Zenix stated, written in the Cloak of Blood, that this was to happen. Our world shall ever stay divided, no matter what we do."
The enemies nodded, then stood up. They turned to leave. Bulfred turned his head. "Oh, and before we forget, you have ten years to help our people before we turn to war. "
The others nodded, then they walked out, their line-up in perfect synchronization, as if it had been planned out.
Wix turned to the neutral people. "You've been awful quiet this council."
The elven leader sighed. "This...this is a bad idea, my lords."
"Tarven, how is this bad?" The water people's leader, Malifia, said.
"Ms. Malifia, I don't think you quite grasp the situation you have just made yourselves get into. They mean war. It's not going to be some petty fight in ten years time. I suggest you stop them." Maxwell, the human leader, said quickly.
"No, that's stupid. They have no chance against our army." Woody, leader of the wooden people said.
"No, Maxwell is right." Tarven said, nervously. "They mean to kill us. They believe we have corrupted this world. They don't want to have a five day war, they want a ten year long one. They want one that drags on, making your nations tired of war. We've lost too many people in the previous war, ten years back. My son...he was only five years old when it ended. He lost his mother to a bombing. I don't wish that pain on anyone else."
"They are correct, madam. Your outburst earlier? That was not your normal self. You need to remain calm." Severan of the mountain kingdom said, patting the magical leader's hand gently.
"This council is over. There is no more to discuss."
"Wait, madam? Are we gonna give them what they want?"
"No...no...they don't deserve it...to threaten us...they will forget about it, trust me."
The council dispersed, leaving only a cracked table, divided right down the middle, a resemblance of the world that they lived in. This table lasted only ten more years, before it disappeared right as the war started, ten years later.
