Katsuki had always taken out his stress and anger on Izuku. He had been the blond's punching bag for as long as he could remember.
Izuku had thought that one day, he would meet someone that would make it all okay. They would take him away from the abuse. They would love Izuku no matter what and protect him.
All those dreams were shattered when Katsuki went too far the first time.
It was towards the end of their first year in high school. Katsuki had been extremely stressed and pissed off because of final exams.
He had stormed into Izuku's dorm room, locking the door, and pinned Izuku down.
The greenette had no idea what was going on, had no way of defending himself, and his cries and pleas had been muffled by his own pillow and Katsuki's unforgiving hands.
After he had finished, Katsuki leaned over to growl into Izuku's ear, "now no one will ever want you, you filthy whore."
Then he became Katsuki's plaything to have whenever he so desired. The first couple times, Izuku tried fighting back, but he was just so weak in comparison to the blond he had grown up with. He eventually gave in, letting Katsuki have whatever he wanted...
Whenever he wanted it.
Izuku's grades slipped their second year. Luckily, Aizawa had assigned him tutoring sessions with Shoto Todoroki to help get him back on track.
An escape from Kacchan, was Izuku's very first thought. He was so relieved to have time to not be afraid of Katsuki barging in and demanding his body at any given moment.
However, after a few sessions, Izuku was terrified all over again.
He was falling for Shoto.
Shoto's patience. His soft voice. His gentle touch. The way he'd smile ever so slightly when he was amused. The way his head would tilt and heterochromatic eyes would soften when he was proud of Izuku.
Izuku couldn't fall for him.
Katsuki would kill him. Katsuki would tear him apart for daring to think of escaping.
Todoroki wouldn't want me anyway...
That thought made him tear up as he curled up in his bed.
He jumped and gasped as his door slammed open.
Katsuki was absolutely fuming, lip curled and nose scrunched.
Izuku whimpered as his door was shut and locked. No escape.
"Take your fuckin' pants off," Katsuki demanded, already unbuckling his belt.
The greenette trembled, shaky hands barely managing to do as told.
He gasped as he was pinned, wrists being bound together and tied to the headboard. Izuku's eyes widened and he cried out in pain at the forceful, quick intrusion.
"Shut the fuck up," Katsuki snarled, hand wrapping tightly around Izuku's throat. "First you fucking keep me waiting, tutoring with that damn half-and-half bastard and now you're trying to let the whole Goddamn dorm know you're a slut."
Izuku choked on pained sounds as Katsuki fucked him. Tears fell in torrents from his eyes, saliva sliding out from the corner of his lips. He gasped for breath, dark spots beginning to swirl in his vision as Katsuki clenched his fist tighter.
His teeth grit together as the blond finally reached his release deep inside the smaller teen.
Katsuki huffed and pulled out, then sneered at the disheveled body beneath him. "You've gotten too damn skinny. Eat some fucking food, dumbass."
Izuku just lay there, panting and shaking as he was untied and Katsuki finally left.
He curled up tightly and sobbed, wishing for a gentle touch... A warm embrace.
No... No, I can't... I'm gross... I'm filthy... No one wants me...
Eventually, he mustered the strength to pull on a pair of sweatpants and go to the showers. He could only pray Katsuki wouldn't still be there.
Thankfully, the blond was not there and Izuku was able to shower alone.
~
"Hey, Midoriya."
Izuku jumped, snapping his head up to look wide eyed at Shoto. "Oh! Todoroki, you scared me! I guess I spaced out!"
He tried not to flinch when Katsuki clicked his tongue in disdain.
Shoto smiled one of his really small, very soft smiles. "I apologize... I know we don't have a tutoring session today, but I was wondering if you'd like to go to the new café with me today after school." His gaze was kind and hopeful.
Izuku could feel a blush begin to fill his cheeks, heart fluttering before it stopped as Katsuki tapped on his own desk twice. He paled and swallowed hard before forcing a grin. "I-I'm sorry, Todoroki. I already have plans for tonight..."
Oh God, how he wished Shoto would just steal him away. Take him somewhere safe.
~
"P-please, Kacchan-"
"Shut your fucking mouth, Deku."
Katsuki had Izuku pinned against a tree, grinding harshly against his ass.
Izuku whimpered, biting his lip as he pants were yanked down. He tossed his head, resisting a building scream as Katsuki forced himself in. His eyes screwed shut tightly, forearms braced against the tree.
"A-ahh! S-stop! I-it hurts!" The greenette choked out, hair being yanked on.
"You keep fucking talking, I'll make it worse," Katsuki sneered, thrusting sharply.
Someone..! Please!
"P-please! Stop!"
The begging only spurred Katsuki on.
Izuku choked and gasped, eyes stinging.
He heard shouting and cried out as he was suddenly pulled away.
His pants were pulled up and a jacket was wrapped around his shoulders as Katsuki's screaming was being pulled away.
"I've got you... He can't hurt you..."
Izuku gasped and shook, then broke into hysterical sobs. He collapsed onto the firm chest, fingers curling tightly into the fabric of his savior's shirt.
Kirishima and Kaminari had a tight hold on Katsuki, but both had their eyes on Izuku and Shoto.
Teachers and other students came running over, someone calling the emergency services.
Shoto swayed, holding Izuku tightly.
His jaw clenched and eyes narrowed at what Katsuki said.
"He fucking wanted it, the whore! He's only faking this 'cause he got caught! I didn't do anything wrong!"
Shoto just pulled Izuku closer, nuzzling into his hair. "I got you... I won't let him near you, Izuku..."
~
Izuku had been taken to the hospital. Shoto couldn't be with him during most of the exam, but he was in the room with Izuku the moment the nurse said he could be.
He pulled up a chair and sat down, keeping his eyes on the quiet boy lain in the hospital bed.
The greenette stared blankly at the ceiling, bruised lips parted slightly.
Shoto bit his lip and looked down. "I'm so sorry..."
"It's not your fault," Izuku muttered, voice breaking slightly.
The bi-hair colored teen wanted to reach out and take Izuku's hand, but how would he react to touch right now? Would he panic?
"I should have seen it... I should have seen something..."
Izuku tilted his head, looking over. "What..? Why..?"
Shoto licked his lips. "My dad hurt my mom... He was always hurting her... And the doctor just told your mom that... That he's been doing this to you for... For a long time..." His fingers entwined together to keep himself from reaching out. "How long..? How long has he been hurting you?"
The greenette whimpered, fingers curling into the hospital sheets. "S-since... Finals... First year..." He looked away again. I'm trash... I'm filthy... Why is he here?
The other teen snapped his head up, stomach dropping. "A year..?" His voice shook, normally emotionless eyes filled with so many emotions. "He's been doing this to you for a year?"
Izuku whimpered and curled up, turning his back to Shoto. I don't want him to see me like this. I'm so pathetic.
Shoto began to reach for Izuku when Inko finally came in. She had gone to the restroom to clean herself up and calm down, but as soon as she lay eyes on her son, she broke down into tears all over again.
"Izuku," she wailed for him and hurried to the bed.
Shoto stood and gently grabbed Inko before she could collapse on her son and take him into her arms. "Wait, Mrs. Midoriya..." She looked up at him, confused. "He could be very sensitive to touch right now, like the doctor said... We can't overwhelm him..."
Inko breathed deeply and nodded. "You're right... I'm sorry... Thank you."
He coaxed her into the chair he had been in.
Izuku curled his arms around his head, fingers trembled as they gripped into his hair.
Shoto looked away, then to the doorway as a gentle knock sounded.
Masaru and Mitsuki Bakugou stood in the doorway, Mitsuki with her head low.
"I know this is soon," Masaru spoke in his gentle tone, brows creased with worry, "but we wanted to apologize..."
Inko looked over to them and stood back up. She walked over and Mistuki tilted her head, closing her eyes as if she expected a blow from the short, gentle woman.
"You came..? I thought that..?" Inko whispered as she stopped in front of them.
"That we'd be with our son?" Masaru finished for her. He sighed, looking down. "I... We had to see the damage he caused, first... We had to see it for ourselves."
Inko bit her lip and looked back to Izuku. "He won't look at me... I can't touch him..."
Mitsuki took one of Inko's hands carefully. "I'm so sorry... I'm sorry, Inko..."
Masaru looked over to the boy curled up in bed. "How long..? Do you know how long this has been going on?" He asked softly, almost not wanting to know the answer.
Inko sniffled and wiped her eyes. "The doctor said... That maybe a few weeks... It was hard to tell..."
"A year..."
All three adults turned to the teen standing with them. Shoto gulped as all eyes were now on him. "He just told me... That it started after finals our first year..."
Inko gasped, hands over her mouth. She sobbed, Masaru quickly leading the poor woman to a chair.
Mitsuki clenched her fists. "I'm going to kill my brat... How could he..?"
Shoto looked up to her. "Did you know they didn't get along?" He couldn't help but ask.
She breathed deeply. "Yes... I knew... I was always getting onto Katsuki for being so awful to Izuku, but I never thought..." Tears began gathering in her eyes. "I never... Thought he would go so far..."
The teen sighed. "I... I'll leave you alone... I'm not family so I shouldn't be here anyway."
Mitsuki nodded, then grabbed his wrist as he walked by. "Thank you... For saving Izuku... I wanted to thank you just in case Inko doesn't get around to it." She offered a small smile.
Shoto only nodded and walked out.
He walked passed the lobby and nearly jumped as his name was shouted.
Two teens stumbled over, Kirishima placing a hand on Shoto's shoulder.
"Hey, how is he? Is his mom with him?"
"We saw Bakugou's parents come by, are they seeing him?"
Shoto nudged Kirishima's hand off and sighed. "His mom and Bakugou's parents are with him right now," he answered softly.
Kaminari gulped. "Okay, but... How is he..? Will he be okay?"
"He's not good..." Shoto looked down, rubbing his arm. "I don't know if he'll be okay..."
Kirishima spoke up this time. "Do we know how long this has been going on? Like... Was that the first time, or did Bakugou... Did he do that before..?"
Shoto swallowed hard and sucked in a sharp breath as he looked up to the red head. "He had been doing that for a year."
Both the other teens stiffened, eyes wide.
Kirishima looked like he was trying to deny it while Kaminari gripped his own hair.
"A year..? He's been... A year? No. There's no way. We-we would have noticed..." Kaminari muttered.
The red head's eyes widened. "Wait... So... A few weeks ago... When he was limping and no one knew why..? That was... That was Bakugou?" He sounded disbelieving, but frightened.
Shoto looked away again. "I don't know... But it's likely..."
Kaminari gulped. "I can't believe... I didn't notice... I mean... Midoriya seemed jumpier this year, but..."
"No one... No one knew..." Shoto murmured and slowly walked away, hands in his pockets.

Inko spoke to Principal Nezu the next day and took some of Izuku's things from his dorm to bring home. He told her to keep Izuku home for as long as he needed.
Shoto stared at Izuku's empty desk for two weeks, hoping he'd be alright.
Uraraka traded dorm rooms with Izuku, no one wanting him to be stuck in the room he had been repeatedly assulted in.
When Izuku finally walked through the classroom doors, two weeks after the incident, Shoto's heart nearly burst.
He was so happy to finally see him.
Then his stomach fell as he saw his face.
The messy hair was normal, maybe a bit messier, but he was pale and had dark bags under his eyes. He forced a smile and waved as hd stood in front of the class, then dragged himself to his seat.
Yaoyorozu quickly got up, taking her things with her as she slid into Izuku's old desk before he could sit and she set her feet in Bakugou's empty chair.
Izuku blinked, confused as she smiled up at him.
"We can trade. My seat has a really nice view of the courtyard I'm sure you'll love." She gestured behind her.
Mineta looked overly excited to have a woman in front of him.
Izuku smiled slightly. "Thanks, Momo." He took a few more steps, then sat behind Mineta and beside Shoto.
Aizawa nodded to Yaoyorozu, then began his lesson.
~
The lunchroom was abnormally quiet and everyone gave way to Izuku as he came through.
Everyone in school knew him. He was smart, outgoing, kind- everyone loved him.
So, after what happened, everyone knew to give him space and quiet so he wouldn't be overwhelmed.
Izuku sat at an empty table with his tray, then stared at his food.
Shoto swallowed and slowly sat in front of Izuku with his own tray. "Hey..."
The greenette blinked and looked up. "Todoroki..? Why are you sitting here..?" His voice was quiet and timid and he couldn't make eye contact. His hands fidgeted and he bit his lip.
"I just wanted to know how you were doing," Shoto answered softly, picking up his chopsticks.
Izuku tilted his head down. "Uhm... Better. I'm better. I went to a therapist last week. I'm going again today after school." He poked at his food.
"Therapists are good." What the fuck? 'Therapists are good.' What the hell am I thinking? "I mean... When I was younger, I went to a therapist after my injury." He breathed deeply, trying to keep calm and collected. "She helped me a lot..."
"I didn't know you had a therapist," Izuku muttered, peering back up at Shoto through his lashes.
Shoto nodded. "Yeah. Dad didn't want me ruined so he hired a therapist to make sure I wasn't."
Izuku hummed in response.
Things stayed quiet. Izuku didn't eat at all, Shoto only took a few small bites.
"You need to eat," Shoto whispered, waving his chopsticks in Izuku's direction.
The greenette shrunk slightly. "I'm not really hungry... I'm kinda... Tired..."
Izuku stood and shuffled away with his tray.
~
Shoto could barely focus with Izuku constantly at the back of his mind.
Izuku was so tired. He dragged himself anywhere and his notes weren't half as extensive as they used to be.
As they days dragged on, Izuku began perking up.
He'd seem to shift a lot. He'd either be all smiles and full of energy or barely managing to stay awake.
Shoto thinks he's just found out why.
He gulped as he held an orange prescription bottle.
Fluoxetine
Shoto swallowed thickly. That's an antidepressant...
"Oh God..."
The gasp caught Shoto off guard and he turned around quickly.
Izuku's eyes were wide, hands over his chest. Tears welled up and he whimpered.
Shoto took large strides over and reached out to Izuku, but stopped as the smaller teen flinched. "Midoriya..."
"I-I..." Izuku's eyes flittered around, looking anywhere but the teen in front of him.
"It's okay!" Shoto accidentally shouted. Izuku jumped, fingers curling tightly into his own shirt. Shoto stepped back. "Sorry... I'm sorry... Midoriya, it's okay. You don't have to hide this."
Izuku trembled, looking nearly as meek as he did in the hospital bed. "I'm... I'm sorry..." He whispered.
"Don't apologize... Don't. Look, after everything you've been through..." Shoto gently took Izuku's hand and placed the bottle in his palm. "I'm here for you... If you ever need me... For anything. You won't bother me. I promise."
He released Izuku's hand, not wanting to frighten him by holding him.
Izuku nodded slightly, but still couldn't look up at him.
Shoto bit his lip. "Did you take your pill today..?"
"Y-yeah... I take one at breakfast every day..."
"That's why you've been getting up early and eating before anyone else is up... You don't want anyone to know..." Shoto sighed.
Izuku lowered his head. "Everyone is already... Being so careful... Going out of their way... I don't want to be more of a bother..."
Shoto wanted to embrace. Hold him close and reasure him.
Holding him wouldn't be good, though. Holding him could cause a panic.
"You aren't a bother... To anyone. All of us are here for you."
Izuku stayed silent, fidgeting. He didn't want to talk anymore. He wanted to leave.
Why isn't he leaving..? Does he still need- Shoto stiffed, chest clenching. He thinks he need permission...
"Midoriya... You don't need my permission for anything... You can go if you're uncomfortable..."
Izuku whimpered and stepped back, then hurried away.
Shoto grit his teeth, dropping his head into his hand.
~
Izuku began sticking close to Shoto. It was gradual, but Izuku followed him around. He stayed quiet, never grabbed onto him.
The night before the last day of their second year, there was a timid knock on Shoto's dorm room door.
"It's unlocked."
There was a pause, then the door slowly opened.
Shoto straightened up as he spotted a familiar mop of green hair. "Midoriya?"
"Can I come in," Izuku asked quietly, gaze downcast.
The taller teen stood. "Of course. Come in."
Izuku hesitated again, then shuffled in, closing the door behind himself. "I... I can't..."
Shoto walked over. "Can't what..? It's okay, Midoriya," he assured, reaching out to him.
The greenette whimpered, rubbing his eyes. "I-I can't be alone... I'm scared..."
Shoto's heart clenched. His urge to hold Izuku was almost overwhelming.
"What do you need, Midoriya?" Shoto tilted his head slightly, reaching closer.
"Can I... Can I stay here? For tonight..?"
"Of course," Shoto answered immediately, stepping aside for Izuku. "Make yourself comfortable."
Izuku looked around as he shuffled further into the room. He slowly crawled into Shoto's bed and curled up around one of the pillows.
Shoto sat on the edge of the bed. "Can you not sleep..?"
"No," Izuku shook his head as he answered. He gulped and sniffed. "Anytime I close my eyes, I... I see him... Feel him... Anytime someone walks by my door, I start to panic because... Maybe he's back."
His voice broke, tears welling up in his dull eyes.
"The... The pills help... The one day I forgot them, I... I almost..."
Shoto glanced to Izuku's wrist. He was rubbing his wrist, which made it difficult to see, but Shoto swore he stopped breathing once he saw it.
A single, jagged scar trailed roughly two inches down from the heel of his palm.
His fists clenched and he grit his teeth, biting back tears. "Izuku..."
The smaller teen looked up as his given name was spoken. He didn't jump or flinch as Shoto gently took his hand and trailed the pad of his thumb over the scar.
Izuku watched with wide eyes as Shoto gently kissed the scar.
"I care about you... So much..." Shoto looked down. "I have for a while. I volunteered to be your tutor to spend time with you... To really get to know you... Seeing you like this... It kills me... Knowing that all that time, you were in pain... Knowing you were trapped and being hurt and I didn't notice... I hate it... I hate not being able to help. I hate myself for not having seen it sooner."
The greenette whimpered, shifting closer. "Todoroki..."
"Let me finish... Please," he whispered softly, gently squeezing Izuku's hand. "I want to protect you better. I want to hold you close and shield you from any more pain... What that bastard did to you... How he made you feel... It's unforgivable and no matter what he told you, you didn't deserve it... You didn't deserve that pain. You didn't deserve any hit, kick, or insult he threw at you. You are not dirty or gross or anything he made you believe you are."
Izuku's bottom lip trembled, his tears overflowing. "T-Todoroki... W-when... When he hurt me... You were... You were my safe place..."
Shoto's eyes widened and he looked down to the smaller teen.
"With you was... My only time I didn't have to be afraid... I was safe..."
As he spoke, Shoto's heart began to race. He shook, then slowly leaned over and rested his head on Izuku's chest. "You felt safe with me..?" Izuku nodded, tangling his free hand in Shoto's hair. "So why... Why avoid me..? Why stay away from me when you came back..?"
Izuku looked away. "Because I... I was scared... You saw it... I thought maybe... You'd think I was disgusting... Dirty... A... A whore..."
Shoto clenched his jaw and bit back a growl. "You're none of those things... Bakugou forced himself onto you. The only one dirty or disgusting is him... And you are not a whore. You didn't want it. You didn't sleep with anyone while that was happening to you." He screwed his eyes shut tightly, biting back everything he wanted to scream about the bastard who did this.
He breathed deeply and tried relaxing. "Izuku... Can I hold you..?"
Izuku gulped and nodded. "Yeah..."
The greenette reached first, wrapping his arms around Shoto.
The taller teen shifted and pulled Izuku close. He breathed in Izuku's scent. He smelled like his coconut shampoo.
Shoto rolled over, holding Izuku on top of him. Izuku blinked, looking down at him.
"I don't want you to feel trapped..."
Izuku teared up and buried his face in Shoto's chest. He curled up, holding onto him. "Thank you..."
~
Third year has started. Izuku has started spending every night with Shoto. Some nights, Shoto would hold the greenette close, face buried in his hair. Other nights, Izuku would flinch at the lightest of touches. Shoto did his very best to stay as far from Izuku as he could while still laying on the same bed.
Shoto as well as everyone in their class tried making Izuku feel as normal as possible.
No one reached out to him or grabbed him suddenly, but treated him the same otherwise.
One day, Shoto sighed and plopped down beside Izuku on his bed. The greenette perked up from his studying.
"Are you okay," he asked softly, leaning closer.
"Yeah... Just getting a little stressed out from all this work..." He answered honestly, carding his fingers through his hair.
This caused Izuku to tense up. He gulped and slowly set his notebook aside. His fingers trembled as he began undoing his belt.
Shoto's eyes widened and he grabbed Izuku's hands as soon as he noticed. "What are you doing!?" He gasped.
Izuku shook, eyes closed tight as he bit his bottom lip. "Y-you're stressed... K-Kacchan always needed it when he was stressed..."
The taller teen squeezed his hands and pressed their foreheads together. "No... No... Don't think that I need that from you... Izuku, I'm not him... I won't use you like that. You deserve to be handled gently. I will wait... As long as it takes until you're ready... I can keep my hands to myself until then," he assured quietly, caressing Izuku's freckled cheek.
"You'll wait..?" His voice was meek and soft as he peered up to his boyfriend.
"Of course I will... We'll go at your pace. Do only what you're comfortable with... Just like when you stay the night. I only hold you when you're comfortable with it." Shoto kissed Izuku's knuckles softly.
Izuku whimpered and leaned closer. "Th-thank you... Thank you, Sho..."
~
Shoto was so very patient and understanding. Whenever Izuku needed space, he got it. When he needed to be held, he was held.
Shoto was willing to do whatever it takes to make Izuku comfortable. He gave Izuku whatever he needed.
He took Izuku out on small dates. Nothing too big or loud. Shoto was worried Izuku would become withdrawn if they were in a crowd.
Besides, Shoto didn't like big loud dates anyway.
Mostly just walks through a park, movie dates, occationally they went out to dinner. Usually he let Izuku pick what they did, ate, or watched, but sometimes Izuku would insist that Shoto pick something for them.
The first time they kissed, it was at the park.
Izuku had squeezed Shoto's hand and pulled him to a stop. His gaze flittered about nervously, freckled cheeks flushing pink.
"Will you... Will you kiss me..?"
Shoto had been taken off guard by the near silent question. He stood still for a moment, Izuku fidgeting. He then smiled softly and cupped Izuku's cheek.
As he leaned in, Izuku closed his eyes and relaxed.
Their lips pressed together briefly, but gently.
Izuku smiled wide as they pulled apart, eyes glistening.
"You're so beautiful," Shoto sighed, brushing his thumb underneath Izuku's eye.
"You think so..?"
"I know so..."
~
Izuku was always the one asking for kisses. Shoto didn't want to overstep or scare him by kissing him first. He would, however, kiss Izuku's cheek, his hand, or his forehead unprompted.
He loved Izuku. Izuku was his whole world.
"How long are you going to stick around that pathetic victim?"
Because he loved Izuku so much, Shoto was beyond pissed that his father dared to say that.
Shoto's jaw clenched and he lowered his chopsticks. "Izuku might be a victim, father, but he is not pathetic. He's already been accepted into three seperate programs. He is strong... Overcoming his victimhood." He straightened up. "I love him, so I'll stick around him as long as I can."
Enji Todoroki sneered, fist clenching around his cup. "I didn't raise you to be a queer."
The teen rolled his eyes and stood. "Sorry your son isn't a carbon copy of you."
~
"Two years," Izuku muttered as Shoto sat beside him on their bed.
Shoto blinked and looked down to his boyfriend. "What?"
Izuku smiled up at him, then sat up. "We've been together for two years, now..."
The taller man stared, then his eyes widened. "Oh my God! I completely forgot, Izu!"
The greenette laughed, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend. "It's okay! I forgot too until I got home."
Shoto sighed, pulling him closer. "I meant to take you out..." He admitted softly, kissing Izuku's fluffy mop of hair.
"It's really okay." Izuku curled his fingers into Shoto's shirt. "I don't really want to go out anyway..."
The younger furrowed his brows at the low tone in Izuku's voice. "What..? What happened..?"
Izuku licked his lips and looked away. "Iida called me today... He saw Kacchan..."
Shoto tensed, gripping Izuku.
He knew Katsuki had been released. He was released on his eighteenth birthday. Now he was just on parole.
Still, hearing that he was so close and had interacted with someone they talk to on a daily basis... It rattled Shoto.
"I'm okay."
Shoto met Izuku's gaze. The smaller smiled softly and pressed their foreheads together. "I was really... Scared at first... But I'm okay..."
"If you're sure..." Shoto murmured, rubbing Izuku's hip. "But I'm still going to worry about you."
Izuku giggled. "I know... I love you for that, Sho..."
Shoto sighed, closing his eyes. "I love you, too..."

So, I wanted it to go on longer, like maybe have a sweet sex scene with Sho and Izuku, but then I just liked where I had this.
Mostly because I couldn't figure out how I wanted to keep going
So really I'm just a lazy piece of shit.
