The first thing Katsuki noticed was how warm he was. Warm and comfortable. Then he noticed the scents around him were muted.

The third thing he noticed, everything hurt. His head throbbed, limbs aching. He felt as if a weight was pressing down on his chest.

One of the scents spiked and that was the fourth thing. Someone was there with him.

His eyes snapped open and he snarled, lashing out. The other person yelped and scrambled away, shouting something. What, Katsuki didn't know. He hissed and thrashed, eyes unable to focus as more people came in, shouting to him and pinning him down to the bed. He roared and snapped his jaws, struggling despite the pain flaring throughout his body.

Katsuki turned his head to sneer at the first person and halted.

Green.

A green Omega.

Big veridian eyes, fluffy, curly green hair. Round cheeks blotched with red and tears. He was being held by a brunette Omega, kept from reaching to Katsuki.

The Alpha growled again, this time because the pretty Omega wasn't near him. He wanted him. Needed him. His instincts were screaming to grab him. Hold him. Comfort him. Tell him everything is going to be alright.

Katsuki twisted and snapped at the hands binding him to the bed, hissing in their faces. They needed to release him.

That lovely sweet scent started to fade.

He gasped and craned his neck, eyes widening as he saw the Omega being led away.

"NO!" Katsuki ripped his wrist out of the new binding, grabbing onto the nearest person just to throw them into the other people keeping him away from the Omega. "Omega!" He hissed, then greenette looking back at him. More tears were in his eyes and that hurt more than his physical ailments.

Katsuki growled and yanked as he was bound again, this time, there was an alpha, cuffing him to the bed with metal shackles. He snapped his jaws, releasing the heaviest, more threatening scent he could.

The other Alpha only looked sad, red hair draped down over his face. It looked strange. Didn't look familiar.

"It's okay, Bakugou... We'll take care of him."

No! Katsuki fought and thrashed in his restraints, snarling as the people around him backed off save for the red headed Alpha. I'll take care of him! Let me go! Let me go to him! "OMEGA!"

~

"Your majesty?"

A tentative knock followed by a soft voice had Izuku looking up from his lap. He straightened his posture and raised his chin. "Iida. Kirishima. You may come in."

Both knights stepped into the room, closing thw door behind. Both bowed and kept their gazes down cast.

All three looked worse for wear. None looked like they had gotten a decent night's sleep in days.

Izuku pursed his lips, fingers curling into his pants. "What did... What did the doctor say..? Do they know why he acted like that when he woke..?" He wasn't aure he wanted to know... But he had to know. He had to know why.

Iida was the one who looked up, carding his fingers through his hair. "He's feral, your majesty."

That word was like a cold knife piercing into his gut, wrenching a twisting as tears already built up fell down his cheeks. "F-feral?" He repeated, hands coming up to his chest. "How..? Is it... The head wound? Because of the war..?"

"We aren't sure," Eijirou spoke up, taking a step forward. "It could be both. However... The doctors also believe he may suffer memory loss. Even with being feral, he'd recognize one of us. He isn't responding well to anyone, though. However... He does keep asking for you."

Izuku knew he shouldn't have let it, but hope sparked up in his chest. "Me..?"

Iida nodded. "Yes. Although, he's referring to you as 'Omega.' We fear it is only his instincts recognizing you as his mate or at least a potential mate and not Bakugou actually recognizing you."

The Omega looked away, drooping into the chair he sat in. His hand came up to his mouth and he chewed on his nail. The Knights stayed quiet.

"We need to keep him in a rut room."

Izuku winced at the statement, but nodded. "Yes... That makes sense... We don't know how long he could be feral for... Or how long he won't remember anything... He's... He's very dangerous at the moment. Has he been using his magic?"

Eijirou shook his head. "No."

"That probably means he doesn't remember it, then." Izuku bit his lip. "If we can, let's keep him in the medical bay for a few days just to make sure he is healing well before we try moving him. Maybe... Maybe we might be able to pull him out of Feral..." His voice dropped to a whisper that last sentence, not wanting to be or sound hopeful.

Iida nodded. "Also, on another note, Prince Shouto Todoroki is on his way regarding the request for help rebuilding."

Izuku only nodded, nail still between his teeth as he now looked out the window. The sun was just above the horizon, casting an orange glow over the land and city below.

Eijirou nudged the taller knight and walked out, shortly followed by Iida.

The Omega whimpered once the door closed and he was left alone again. He curled up in the chair, eyes stinging with an overwhelming amount of tears.

It's been days. His mate had been unconscious for days. Almost a week. He finally wakes up and everything is worse. He's feral and he doesn't remember anything. This isn't fair.

This shouldn't be happening.

Izuku leapt from the chair and hurried from the office. He walked as fast as he could without breaking into a jog, nodding to those who greeted him. He finally reached his bedroom and hesitated in front of the door.

His hand hovered over over the handle. He swallowed hard and pulled the door open.

The scents in the room were present, but stale. He stepped in and closed the door, not wanting to lose his mate's scent.

He hadn't been in this room since his mate had been brought back to the palace, broken and bloodied. Izuku had stayed by his side every night and run the palace and kingdom during rhe day.

Izuku shuffled to the oversized bed and grabbed the cloak that lay on it. He held the gray and white fur up to his nose and breathed in that smokey caramel scent burned into the cloak after years of use. He rubbed his cheek into it, drawing more of the scent out.

Steadily he relaxed, his mate's wonderful scent surrounding him.

~

Katsuki studied the room he was in, nose twitching with the scent of medicine in the air. He growled lowly each time someone passed the door. His wrists were still shackled to the bed and his head hurt to much to sit up.

Curtains were drawn over the windows, but he could tell the sun was setting.

How long had he been there? Where exactly was he?

Footsteps neared once again, Katsuki on high alert. His lips drew back in a snarl, fists clenching.

The door opened and he snapped his jaws threateningly. The door halted for just a moment, then pushed open more. Katsuki went to growl but stopped as he spotted green hair and watery eyes.

"Omega," he crooned, relaxing. He doesn't know what it is about this Omega, but he was set at ease just seeing him. Knowing he's okay. His nostrils flared as the door shut, taking in that lovely scent he's been craving all day since he woke.

"Kacchan," the Omega whispered, nearing him.

Katsuki tilted his head. Kacchan..? Who's that? Is that me? He looks so sad. I need to make my Omega happy! He chittered softly, then growled when he tried to reach for the greenette.

The Omega sat on the edge of the bed, taking one of Katsuki's hands. Katsuki expected him to remove the cuff, but he didn't. He started to speak, but his words were garbled. Katsuki growled as he tried to understand.

When the Omega flinched, Katsuki stopped. He'd upset the Omega. He hadn't meant to. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Omega, I didn't mean to make you scared. He crooned again, wanting to pull the Omega down towards himself.

Veridian eyes met his own. The Omega then leaned over, closing his eyes. Katsuki purred deeply and nosed at green hair as the Omega nuzzled by his scent gland. He couldn't hold the Omega, but he could most certainly comfort him.

My Omega. Beautiful Omega.

~

Katsuki thrashed and snarled as he was moved. His hands were cuffed together behind his back, two Alphan knights practically dragging him down the halls. He snapped his jaws at them, but they were just out of reach.

He hissed and kicked, fruitless in his attempts to escape.

Making him more upset was the fact he could catch his Omega's scent. It was everywhere. The scent roamed the halls. His Omega was nearby but he couldn't see him. He needed to make sure his Omega is okay.

A beta opened a door and he caught a very stale scent that was clearly his own. The scent caught him off guard. His scent? Why is his scent in there? His was uncuffed and nudged in.

He hissed and spun, lunging at the door. It was slammed shut and locked quickly.

Katsuki kicked and slammed against the door, snarling angrily.

He paused as he heard the Omega's voice. It was soft and quiet. Hesitant.

Is his Omega scared of him?

He breathed deeply and perked up once he realized his Omega stood on the other side of the door. "Omega!"

His Omega spoke. Some words made sense, others didn't. It was frustrating. The angrier he got, the less his understood. He sneered and hissed. "Omega!"

The Omega stopped. He heard a shuffling and whimpered. No! No, I did it again. I made him sad again!

"Omega, Omega!" He whimpered, clawing at the door. "Omega, please! Please, Omega! Stay!"

The scent of his Omega's distress seeped through the door and Katsuki was just that much more desperate to reach him. "Omega!" He called, tears in his eyes. He crooned and chittered to him, desperate to get his Omega in his arms. "Please, stay!"

His Omega whimpered on the other side of the door. Such a sad sound. Katsuki pressed against the door, searching for a way to look though. "Omega... Omega, open." Open the door, please. Open it. I can hold you if you open it. I'll make you feel better.

"I can't..."

Katsuki whined, clawing at the handle. "Why..? Why, Omega?"

There was muttering from other voices that he growled at. His Omega was surrounded by people he didn't know. Likely other Alphas.

His Omega didn't answer. He was silent, save for little sobs and whimpers. Katsuki whined and crooned back, pulling on the door. Are they hurting him? He doesn't smell hurt. Are they holding him away? My Omega is so sad. Omega, you need me. Please, Omega...

~

Katsuki paced and hissed, growl rumbling deep in his chest. It's been so long. Days? Weeks? So long. He can't handle this. He's tried coaxing his Omega in so many times to no avail. Does the Omega not want him? Is someone keeping them separated?

He just wants his Omega.

He snarled and whipped around as the flap at the base of the door was opened. A tray of food was slid inside.

Katsuki waited a few seconds, then stepped over. He crouched and ate the food slowly. He listened to the voices on the other side of the door. Hushed and garbled. Katsuki was able to pick out few words.

It's irritating, not fully understanding what they're talking about. Every day he understands more words, but then he gets angry and his instincts take over. He hears and smells his Omega and his instincts take over. Nothing else matters.

The door opens and he hissed, leaping to his feet. However, he blinks and sways, taken aback by the head rush. The pause allows for an Alpha to grab him and hold his arms behind his back.

Katsuki snapped his jaws and growled, struggling. A familiar doctor looked him over, muttering something about torn bandages.

The blond wasn't a fool. He noticed how sluggish he was as he was examined. How tired he was feeling. He glared at the tray of mostly eaten food. They've poisoned me!

He snarled and kicked, the doctor narrowly dodging.

Apples drowning in cinnamon and syrup had Katsuki craning his neck and ignoring the doctor and Alpha holding him still.

"Omega!" He gasped, squirming in the other Alpha's grasp.

The Omega stood in the doorway, one hand over his heart. Katsuki then narrowed his eyes and growled deep as he spotted a new Alpha behind his Omega. He hissed and snapped, managing to yank an arm away from the Alpha behind him.

"Bakugou-" the Alpha gasped, scrabbling to get his arm back.

The doctor moved away and the Omega rushed forward.

Katsuki grabbed onto the greenette, not remembering the last time he'd felt such relief. He held him close, heavily scenting him. "My Omega," he crooned, breathing deeply.

His scent warmed Katsuki down to his very core. The Omega holding onto him eased all the ugly emotions rearing inside him. Except one.

Katsuki bared his teeth to the Alpha outside the room. He growled deeply, possessively. "My Omega," he repeated, although now it was a warning to the other.

The other Alpha, a man with a light peppermint and lavender scent, stood quietly with a stoic expression. He seemed unaffected by Katsuki's warning, but most importantly, uninterested in the Omega.

The blond buried his face into the Omega's curls, purr rising in his chest.

"Kacchan," the Omega whimpered, tilting his head. He stood on his toes to reach Katsuki's scent gland.

He likes to call me Kacchan. I don't mind. My lovely Omega.

Katsuki crooned to him, rubbing against him to cover the Omega in his scent.

The Omega squeaked and Katsuki momentarily worried he'd hurt the greenette. However, the smaller started to giggle, a smile pointed up to the Alpha as they looked at each other.

"You're still in there, Kacchan..."

Katsuki isn't very sure what that meant, but he purred happily as his Omega's hands cupped his cheeks. He nuzzled those hands, kissing his palms.

The Omega laughed wetly, tears still in his eyes and soaking his cheeks. "Get better, my king."

The blond perked up at the word. He's heard several people referring to him with that word. Is he a king? What is a king? Is it a good thing? His Omega is calling him one so it must be.

The greenette took a small step back and Katsuki growled, pulling the Omega back into himself.

"No," he hissed, starting to pull him to the bed placed under the barred window.

"No, Kacchan..." The Omega pulled himself out of Katsuki's grasp amd stepped back again. He hugged himself, now looking sad again.

Katsuki whimpered, reaching for him. "Omega..?" Is Omega rejecting me? Does he not want to stay with me? Did I make him sad again? "Stay..."

The Omega shook his head, backing towards the door. Towards the other Alpha.

"I can't. I have to go."

That's a sentence he wished he didn't understand. "Go?" Why Omega? Why go? Stay, please!

The Omega sobbed, hand on the door. "I'm so sorry... I want to stay... But I can't. Please stay. Please get better."

Katsuki gulped, glancing back to the bed, then to the Omega. He didn't understand. Why was he being left here? Why is he locked away in this room? Why won't his Omega just stay with him just for a little while? Why does he have to get better?

He whimpered, but didn't move. He wanted his Omega happy. Maybe staying here will make him happy.

The Omega smiled sadly. "I'll see you soon, Kacchan."

Katsuki still didn't understand, but he stayed still and quiet even after the door closed.

Hopefully when he gets better he can see and hold his Omega more.

~

"I wasn't expecting his condition to be so bad," the Prince sighed as he followed Izuku away from the room. "Does he understand anything we say?"

Izuku chewed on his bottom lip, holding himself. "I hope so... I know... I know he understand just a little bit..." He looked to his feet as they walked.

Shouto hummed. "At least he seems to recognize you, Midoriya."

The Omega whined. "He... He doesn't. Not really. His instincts remember me because we are mates, but we don't think he really knows who I am. He keeps calling me Omega. I guess... I am a little glad he's not hostile towards me or anything... But it still hurts seeing him like that."

The Alpha nodded in understanding. "So, as Queen, you'll be stepping into his role and ruling the kingdom until he recovers," he muttered softly. "You'll be easier to work with, so I don't mind."

Izuku smiled as the stoic man attempted a joke. "It sounds like you believe he'll be fine. Like he'll be able to return from this feral state," he murmured, pausing to wait as guards opened the door to the conference room.

"He will eventually, Midoriya." Shouto shrugged. "Have some faith in your mate."

The Omega stood still as he watched the Prince enter the room. He breathed deeply and bit back into his lip before following.

~

A month.

It's been a little over a month since Katsuki had woken and he didn't seem to be getting any better.

Izuku hugged his knees to his chest, back pressed to the headboard as he stared at the sheets in front of him. Tears welled in his eyes but had yet to fall.

Katsuki may never wake from this feral state of mind. He's still aggresive and irritable. He latches onto Izuku the rare times Izuku will enter the room and coat him in his scent. He'll growl and snarl at anyone else, attempted to kill Eijirou the last time he'd tried talking to him.

Poor Eijirou wasn't handling this well. Eijirou and the King had been inseparable before this. Eijirou was the most trusted knight. The King's right hand man. They fought many battles together. Being a dragon shifter, Eijirou carried the King on his back into war.

Eijirou was the one who had found the King on the battle field and had taken him home.

Izuku whimpered and closed his eyes, dropping his head onto his knees.

"An heir..."

His advisors' words rung through his head all night. Yaoyorozu and Iida were right. Katsuki may never recover. He may never be able to run the kingdom again, but the Kingdom needed a leader.

Izuku could only do that by himself for so long. He and Katsuki had many nights when they spoke of pups, whispering names and dreaming of adventures. Katsuki was excited to have a mini-him waddling around, ready for royalty. Ready for battle and dragon races.

Now, when other people mentioned them having pups, it was because the kingdom needed an heir. Izuku felt hollow, listening to his advisors' discuss this. He knew an heir was needed. An heir was always needed.

But when it was him and Katsuki talking, a pup was wanted. There wasn't pressure for a pup. The pup wasn't going to be named King until Katsuki was ready to pass the title down.

This heir that everyone in the palace was now talking about was needed. The pup will be under so more pressure before they're born. They'll be a King at such a young age- assuming they're an Alpha or Beta.

"Kacchan..." Izuku sobbed, hugging his knees tighter. "I need you back... Please come back..."

~

Katsuki hissed, pacing once again. This room is hot and cramped. He doesn't have enough space. He doesn't have his Omega. He itches for him- craves him. His mind was screaming and thrashing, rut creeping up not-so-quietly.

Sweat glistened on his bare torso in the moonlight shining through the barred window. He glared at the bed, practically bare. There were pillows and blankets, but it just wasn't right. His Omega's nest wasn't there. It wasn't even in the open space on the floor in the corner. He wasn't sure why he suddenly thought the corner looked so barren. Did it not used to be?

He snarled and snapped, looking to the door as it unlocked. He flexed and crouched, ready to pounce.

As the door opened, the scent of heat washed over him. Katsuki's nostrils flared, pupils blowing wide. He tilted his head, gasping as he saw it was his Omega.

"Omega!"

The greenette smiled weakly, trembling hands reaching for him.

He needs me! My Omega has come to me!

Katsuki crooned and gathered his Omega close. He nuzzled his hair, barely noticing as someone closed and locked the door behind them. He purred and rubbed against his Omega, happy to cover him in his scent again.

The Omega moaned, fingers curling against Katsuki's chest. "Kacchan..." His voice was shaky and sultry, body pressing readily into the Alpha.

Grinning, Katsuki lifted his Omega. He then noticed a red cloak the Omega had wrapped himself in. He sniffed it curiously, tilting his head as he recognized his own faint scent.

"This is your cloak. Your lucky cloak, Kacchan," the Omega explained softly, placing his hands on Katsuki's cheeks.

Well, that doesn't make any sense. How can a cloak be lucky?

He didn't dwell on that thought too long, just happy that the Omega liked his scent.

Katsuki tilted his head up, stealing the Omega's lovely pink lips. They're a little chapped, but that's alright. He carried his Omega to the bed and lay him down.

Rut was very present, but he wanted to be gentle. He didn't get to see his Omega often, so he had to treat him carefully. He didn't want the Omega to never come see him again.

The Omega opened his arms and Katsuki eagerly fell into him. He nipped and nibbled, kissing his Omega's neck, exploring down with his hands. The Omega's strong legs wrapped around his waist and he grinned.

He wanted the be gentle. Katsuki tried but the Omega released such a wonderful, strong scent that had his eyes rolling back. He growled and tore at the Omega's clothes and kicked off his own trousers.

The greenette mewled and helped as best as he could, fingers trembling from the overwhelming heat. Katsuki took his hands and purred as he kissed them. The Omega looked up to him with big eyes, seeming surprised.

Katsuki pushed himself up, nosing a freckled cheek before kissing him again. "Alpha take care of Omega," he murmured, brushing his thumb over a scarred knuckle.

More tears gathered in the Omega's eyes as he nodded.

The Alpha pulled the Omega close, grinding their pelvises together. The Omega moaned in his ear, arms wrapping around Katsuki's neck. He nearly preened, pleased with the sounds his Omega was making.

He didn't miss how well their bodies moulded together as he rubbed into him feverishly. Katsuki hungrily took in the sight of his naked Omega lain beneath him. Beautiful, was the only word that came to mind.

Katsuki growled and bit at the Omega's chest, needing to lay claim. Needing to mark everywhere he can reach. He needed to show the whole worls the Omega is his and his alone.

The Alpha licked his lips as he caught the scent of the Omega's slick, shuddering in excitement.

One hand on the Omega's thigh, holding him up, the other hand on his cock, he pressed to the slicked, heated core of his Omega. The Omega whimpered, tilting his head to the side. Katsuki looked up to the Omega. Was that a pained sound? An impatient sound? He sniffed the air. No distress.

He leaned over and crooned to his Omega. Veridian eyes opened and met his. The Omega reached up and pulled him down. Their lips met again, the Omega's fingers curling into an iron-clad grip in Katsuki's hair.

With a growl and no other warning, he thrust into the Omega.

The greenette hissed through pressed teeth, back bowing and head dropping back. "Ahh-!" He gasped, tears spilling from his eyes.

Hurt Omega! Katsuki grabbed the Omega's face and crooned again, wiping away tears and nosing him gently. It's okay, Omega, it's okay. "Omega," he whined softly, their noses brushing together.

The Omega whimpered, tilting his head into Katsuki's affections. "I'm okay, Kacchan..." Katsuki's not sure he believes his Omega. "Pup me, Kacchan... Please..."

At that, Katsuki perked up. My Omega wants pups. He grinned and pulled him closer, if possible. He shifted, drawing a low moan from the Omega, then rocked his hips.

He tested his Omega. He tested his own rut, to see how long it would allow him to be gentle with his Omega. The greenette panted and moaned, wrapped tightly around Katsuki.

Not long, apparently. He grew impatient with himself, picking up his pace faster than he would have liked. He's rough with the Omega, greedily drinking in his moans and his scent. He grabs and bites, leaving bruises wherever he can reach. He sets a brutal pace.

His Omega cries out, and he hopes it's in pleasure. He's pulled closer into his Omega's neck until his nose is pressed into his scent gland. Katsuki growls deeply, nipping at the gland. Claim Omega!

He thrusts hard and deep, fingers digging into the supple flesh of the Omega's thighs. His Omega claws at his back, moaning and gasping, keening for him.

Katsuki has to comply. He gives his lovely Omega everything his body asks for.

"Kacchan, Kacchan!" The Omega calls like a mantra, grasp on him so tight he drew blood. Katsuki didn't mind, though. He hardly noticed.

He growled and bared his teeth, fangs sinking into the Omega's scent gland as he snapped his hips forward, knot forcing into place. The Omega shrieked as he came, cum splattered and smearing on their abdomen with several more thrusts from Katsuki before he finally came as well.

Both panted heavily, the greenette's hands sliding up into Katsuki's hair.

Katsuki growled softly, not wanting to move off his mate.

His mate.

It felt good to call the Omega that. His mate. Such a wonderful thing.

He crooned and purred to his mate and began to clean off his new mark. As he cleaned he stopped. He spotted an old scar he hadn't noticed before, shadowing his new claim. He began to growl, bristling. Disloyal Omega!? How dare he!? Bad Omega-"

Then he noticed his bite matched the scar exactly. He stopped growling and tilted his head. His thumb traced the scar, then he traced the new mark. The Omega winced slightly at the touch, new wound sore.

Katsuki kissed his jaw and chittered a soft apology.

These bites were exactly the same. That scar is a scar he made. A long time ago. This Omega has been his mate all along. He preened happily, scenting his Omega.

The Omega laughed softly, holding onto him. "Kacchan! What's gotten into you?"

Katsuki just showered the Omega with kisses and nuzzles, rubbing his scent all over his wonderful, beautiful Omega. He purred loudly- louder than he's sure he ever had.

My Omega! My mate!

~

Katsuki growled as he leaned over Izuku, knot squeezed tight inside the greenette.

The Omega gripped the pillow his face was being smushed into, tears and drool soaking it as he panted heavily. He wasn't sure how much more of this he could take.

Sure, Katsuki's always been on the rough side when in their shared rut and heat. This, however, was a whole other level.

Bruises and bitemarks littered his body. His legs were jelly and his hips were so sore. His abdomen was distended from how full of cum he was. Izuku's throat was sore and he wasn't sure how he was hydrated enough for all the tears.

He was grateful for the time Katsuki slept so he could build his nest over in the corner like he used to. However, he couldn't include other scents from his friends and family. Katsuki wouldn't react well to other scents. He never had before, but now that he was feral... Now that he had no real memory, who's to say how he'd react.

Lips trailed down the nape of his neck to kiss between his shoulder blades. He closed his eyes and sighed, slowly relaxing.

At least his heat will be over soon.

Izuku looked over his shoulder, meeting those curious vermilion eyes. He reached back and smiled as Katsuki took his hand. He watched as Katsuki kissed his knuckles before leaning forward to kiss his lips. The greenette couldn't help the moan from escaping his throat as their hips shifted to allow for a kiss, and was grateful Katsuki didn't take it as a hint to fuck more.

Maybe he'll finally get a break.

But at the same time...

Izuku doesn't want to leave. He wants to stay in here with Katsuki. He wants to pick him apart, fix what's broken, and piece him back together. He wants to draw out his mate. The man he loves. The man he planned a future with.

The greenette didn't realize he was crying again until he heard concerned chittering from Katsuki.

"It's okay, Kacchan..." He squeezed the hand in his, flashing a smile over his shoulder. "I love you..."

Katsuki tilted his head, brows drawn together in concern. He hummed and tilted his head to start leaving little, gentle kisses all over Izuku's back.

The Omega sighed and closed his eyes, letting himself relax into his nest.

~

Katsuki groaned and growled as the light of morning hit his closed eyes, waking him too easily.

He stopped as he felt his Omega shifting in his arms. He looked down and purred softly, nuzzling into his hair. Katsuki pulled him closer, crooning. He hoped his Omega would sleep a little longer. His Omega's heat and his rut were exhausting. His little Omega needed his rest to recover.

Especially if he wanted a pup.

At the thought of pups, Katsuki shuffled down to purr and press his nose into his mate's belly. There wouldn't be a pup smell just yet. It's too early. Katsuki was just excited to have a pup with his mate.

"Kacchan..?"

Katsuki looked up, grinning as he saw sleepy veridian eyes looking down at him. He clicked his teeth and shimmied back up to place a kiss to those pretty pink lips. The Omega purred, hands coming up to cup Katsuki's face.

"You're still not here, are you..?"

The Alpha tilted his head. Again, he didn't understand. He whined at the sad smile on his Omega's face and pressed back into him. Sad Omega. Why so sad? I'm here? Alpha is here.

His Omega curled up, closing his eyes. Katsuki purred and crooned, trying his best to cheer up his mate.

When the Omega finally purred, Katsuki grinned and squeezed, happily grooming his Omega.

The greenette squeaked and laughed, squirming. "Kacchan!"

He growled playfully and nipped at the Omega, the Omega returning the gesture. Katsuki rolled them over to lay on top of his Omega, scenting him heavily. Happy Omega! Happy mate!

His mate giggled, holding onto him.

Katsuki grinned, holding his mate as close as he can get him. I've made Omega so happy! I'm a good Alpha!

~

Bad Alpha! Bad Alpha!

Katsuki growled and hissed as he paced once again. This was becoming a regular thing.

He snapped and clawed at the door whenever he heard talking outside that wasn't his Omega. He's kicked trays of food back through the slot to get his point across.

No one listened, though.

He hasn't seen his Omega in a long time. The last time was when the Omega came to him in tears, hands on his belly.

"We have a pup in here, Kacchan. We're going to have a pup..."

Despite trying to smile, his mate looked and sounded and smelled so sad. Katsuki tried to comfort his mate, but nothing seemed to help.

He didn't understand why his mate was so sad. Didn't he want pups? Katsuki thought he had finally made his Omega happy during their shared rut and heat.

Katsuki whined and crouched, hands on his head. Bad Alpha. Omega's sad. Omega doesn't want to see you. Bad, bad Alpha!

After a particular pathetic whimper, the door unlocked. He snapped his head up and watched as the door cracked open.

A worried scent seeped into the room. That's the guard his mate calls Kaminari.

The blond Beta guard opened the door more, concern clear on his features. He'd heard Katsuki's sad sounds. Katsuki sniffed again and he could smell his own distress. Kaminari must have smelled it as well.

"Should I get a doctor? Does something hurt, Bakugou?"

He has so many names. Why so many names? King. Kacchan. Bakugou. Why doesn't everyone just stick with one?

Kaminari stepped in closer when Katsuki didn't respond and the Alpha then realized he had an opening.

He snarled and lunged at the Beta. The smaller blond gasped and thrashed as he was pinned down, flinching as he was snarled at.

Katsuki then quickly scrambled out of the room as he caught more scents coming nearer.

Two knights halted, one familiar redhead, the other lanky and ravenette. Both looked at him with wide eyes, shock steeling them to their spots. He growled and hunched over, trying to make himself seem bigger.

"Bakugou..." The redhead stepped closer, raising his hands to show he had no weapon. "Bakugou, you need to go back in your room... I'll go get Midoriya if you'll go back in, okay?"

He snapped and swipped at the hands that got too close. Katsuki backed up. "No! Omega!" Not Midoriya! I want my mate!

The redhead went to speak again, but Katsuki turned and ran.

Katsuki slipped as he turned down into a different hallway, nearly falling. He hissed at another guard, pouncing on him to get him to the ground before running more. He turned into an empty hallway and stopped, sniffing the air.

No Omega! Where is Omega!?

He growled as the Knights got close and started running again. He's fast. He's faster. He knows he is. He's not sure how he knows, but he knows.

Katsuki dodged through people as he burst into a room that smelled overwhelming of food. He snarled and snapped, the Betas and Omegas cowering and shrieking, scrambling to get away.

Proudly, he burst into the next room. A large table with so many chairs around it. He sniffed the air, whining. My Omega! He was here!

He circled the table, whimpering and pawing at the chair that smelled like his Omega.

Katsuki perked up as he heard his mate's voice.

The Alpha turned and looked around a couple times before finally spotting an open window.

He tilted his head and approached it. He sniffed the air, whining that he couldn't find his mate's scent.

However, he spotted a familiar mop of green hair down in the courtyard below. He chittered happily. My Omega!

The door he had come from burst open, several guards rushing in.

Katsuki snarled and ran again, breaking the large door off its hinges when he couldn't push it open. The Knights ran after him, shouting.

He snarled and hissed, threatening anyone too close. He came to a sharp turn, crouching down to all fours for the turn to prevent himself from slipping as he had before. When he came up, he halted.

There was a familiar Alpha.

Red and white hair. Lavender and peppermint scent. Katsuki growled deeply and squared his shoulders.

The Alpha looked up to him, then gently moved the Omega beside him back. He started to speak, voice quiet and low, eyes on the blond.

Katsuki hissed and stalked over, the Knights shouting behind him.

The other Alpha held his ground, expression and scent unchanging. That just pissed Katsuki off more.

"He's outside."

Katsuki stopped just in front of the taller Alpha.

"Your Omega is outside, Bakugou."

"Omega?" He asked softly, narrowing his eyes in distrust.

The other Alpha stepped out of the way, bringing the Omega with him. He nodded in gesture to down the hallway. "The stairs will take you to your Omega."

Stairs? Katsuki scrunched his nose, looking the Alpha up and down. He stepped around, still facing him. He spotted the knights from the corner of his eye, keeping a distance.

He chuffed at the other Alpha before resuming his run. Only one set of extra footsteps followed him this time.

Katsuki growled and pushed himself faster. Once he reached the top of a strange drop - what he assumed the other Alpha referred to as stairs - he spun around to glare and snarl at the knight following him.

As his world tipped back, the redhead looked panicked and ran faster, reaching for him. "Bakugou!"

Katsuki gasped and scrambled to grab something- anything! He hissed as he fell back, back and head hitting the stone painfully. Disoriented, he was unable to stop himself from rolling down the stairs.

His ears rung and he hissed as he hit the flat ground.

Screams and cries, shouts of worry filled the air as well as heavy scents of distress.

Katsuki groaned and rolled onto his chest, shaking as he tried to push himself up.

"Kacchan!"

Despite the ringing, that voice was clear as day. Clearer than he's ever heard it. He looked up, eyes shifting every which way. It was blurry. Why so blurry? Why can't he focus?

Green overtook his sight and he whined.

His Omega reeked of distress, tears already dripping down his cheeks.

"Kacchan, what were you thinking!? What happened- oh my God, you're bleeding! Get the doctor, someone get the-"

Katsuki grabbed the Omega's face, making their eyes meet. He crooned weakly, releasing his scent to calm his Omega. He rubbed his cheek into his mate's as the greenette sobbed.

"You-you can't do that... You're hurt, Kacchan! Why'd you leave your room, why are you out here-"

"Izuku," Katsuki sighed, closing his eyes.

The Omega froze up, grip on the Alpha tightening. He didn't look up as the doctors ran over.

Katsuki slowly went limp, fighting to keep his eyes open. He collapsed onto the cobblestone, the Omega gasping and crying. The redheaded knight grabbed the Omega and held him back as Katsuki was rolled onto a cloth that was used to lift him up.

The Alpha whined, searching for his Omega's face. "Izu... Izuku..?"

"I-I'm here..." Izuku took Katsuki's outstretched hand.

Katsuki smiled and purred. "Love... Love you..."

The greenette's sob broke into an airy laugh. "I love you, too, Kacchan... So much..."

As Izuku's hand slipped out of his, darkness overtook him completely.

He woke again in the infirmary. Slowly, sluggishly, but woke. He was sore, again. He'd briefly hoped this wouldn't become a regular thing. It hadn't been before.

Katsuki paused.

Before..?

He looked around the dark room, not seeing anyone with him. He grit his teeth and pushed himself up.

His body groaned and ached in protest, so he grabbed onto the nearby chair for support. He sniffed and whined. His Omega had been there.

Wait...

Katsuki lowered himself and sniffed again, focusing on his mate's scent. Apples and cinnamon with a hint of his favorite syrup... Katsuki's own faint burnt sugar and smoke with... A milky, soft undertone.

He's pregnant...

When had that happened?

He huffed and pressed his hand over the bandages on his head. It hurt trying to remember.

"Fuck," he hissed under his breath, but started his shuffle to the infirmary door. He looked around, halls lit by the dying light of dusk and torches lining the walls.

Katsuki blinked a few times to focus before continuing. He heard familiar, muffled voices and stepped into the next hallway. He squinted, picking out each face. Why is it taking so long to remember their damn names?

"Kirishima?" God, he sounded like shit.

All heads whipped around so fast he worried some broke their necks.

"Fucking- shitty hair..!" He hissed, taking an awkward step closer. With a grimace from the shock up pain shooting up his back, the redheaded dragon-shifter was at his side.

"I'm right here, man. I got you." He grabbed Katsuki's arm and raised it to hook around his shoulders.

The blond sighed and leaned into him. "Where's... Where's Deku..?"

"I'll take you to him, buddy." Eijirou looped an arm around Katsuki to help support him. He nodded to the other knights - Hanta Sero and Denki Kaminari. They ran further up the hall.

Katsuki groaned as they made their way forward. He felt nauseous and dizzy, but he needed his mate. The light hurt his eyes so he kept his gaze low.

"You gave us quite the scare, Bakugou," Eijirou murmured, adjusting him carefully. "We didn't think we'd ever see you again."

The blond huffed in an attempt to growl. "I fucking told you all Shigaraki couldn't kill me. Why can't you dimwits ever fucking believe me?" It was pitiful how his voice cracked.

Eijirou laughed softly. "You're right. I'm sorry about that. I'll believe every word you say from this point on."

"Fuckin' better," Katsuki grumbled, lifting his head as he heard several people rushing towards them.

They turned into another hallway and everyone seemed to freeze at once.

Katsuki looked up and immediately spotted him. He pushed away from Eijirou and stumbled forward.

Izuku gasped and rushed to him, hands on his chest to push him upright. "Kacchan!" The pitch made his head throb. "You should be in bed, you should be resting. You're still hurt, you can't be up-"

"Deku," Katsuki groaned and grabbed his mate's hands.

The greenette stopped and looked up, eyes watery. Katsuki sighed and cupped his face, gently wiping away his tears. "I'm here... I'm right here, stupid."

Izuku's lip trembled and he sobbed, collapsing into Katsuki's chest. The Alpha grunted and stepped back, the knight behind him quickly grabbing him to hold him up.

Katsuki huffed and pulled Izuku closer. "Deku, you're acting like I died."

The Omega whimpered, holding him tighter.

Katsuki winced and hissed at the pressure on his back, startling his mate away from him.

"Oh, God! I'm- I'm so sorry-" Izuku gasped, looking frantically over Katsuki's bandages.

"Shut up, Deku," he grumbled, regaining eye contact. Katsuki then looked down and sighed. He reached out, touching Izuku's slightly distended belly. "You're... You're pregnant..."

More tears gathered in Izuku's eyes, both hands coming up to cover Katsuki's. "Yes..."

Katsuki's brows furrowed in confusion. He didn't remember Izuku smelling like this before he went to war. He was gone a month, sure, but... "How..?" He asked. "Your heat was months ago..? You'd be... Big by now..."

Izuku's expression fell and he stepped closer again, cupping Katsuki's face. "You don't remember..?"

"Remember what?" He growled, becoming impatient.

His mate had a pained look on his face as he bit his lip.

Eijirou cleared his throat. "The King should really be getting rest, your majesty."

"Right," Izuku nodded, breathing deeply. He smiled slightly, looking back to Katsuki. "Let's get you to our room, okay..?"

~

Katsuki groaned and growled as he was helped into his own bed. "Back off, Shitty hair! I got this! I'm not some fucking pup!"

Eijirou chuckled and stepped back. "Sorry, Bakugou. Just a little worried, I guess. You had a nasty fall."

The blond sneered. "Fall? What fucking fall?"

The redhead paused and blinked at him, further irritating the King.

"I'll- I'll tell him, Kirishima." The bed dipped and Katsuki looked up as his mate joined him carefully. "Go get some rest. On your way out, tell Iida to rest as well."

"Fucking four-eyes," Katsuki hissed as Eijirou saluted to Izuku.

"I'll do that. Get some rest as well, your majesty. Bakugou." He bowed before leaving, closing the door behind him.

Finally alone, Katsuki looked up to the greenette. "Well?"

Izuku snapped out of his stupor and smiled, gently urging his mate down. "Lay down, Kacchan. We don't want to hurt your back or head anymore, okay?" He adjusted the pillows and coaxed Katsuki down onto them.

The blond scoffed and grumbled, but let him.

Once he was done, Izuku sat back, hands folded in his lap as he looked to his mate. "Do you... Truly not remember, Kacchan..?" He asked tentitavely, voice soft and timid.

Katsuki sighed. "Remember what? The fall? No, I don't remember a fall. I also don't remember getting you pregnant."

Izuku gulped, hands coming up to his abdomen. "Oh..."

"Well? Fuckin' tell me, Deku."

The greenette shifted, hugging his robe around him tighter as he looked around. "You were hurt really bad out on the battlefield... You recieved a bad blow to your head. Kirishima brought you back to the palace and you were rushed to the infirmary."

"Right. And I just woke up. I know all that," Katsuki growled with a roll of his eyes.

"No, no," Izuku shook his head, curls falling in front of his eyes. "No, you... You were unconscious for over a week... I stayed by your side, just... Praying you would wake up... And then you did." He breathed deeply, shakily.

Katsuki scrunched his face. This doesn't make any sense.

"You didn't remember anything and... And you were... You were feral."

The blond halted, eyes wide. He forced a laugh and shook his head. Bad idea. He groaned and pressed his palm over his eyes. "Quit shitting with me," he grumbled out.

Izuku whimpered. "I'm not, Kacchan... Why would I lie about that..?"

Katsuki just clenched his jaw and stared across the room.

The greenette lowered his head more, hugging himself tighter. "You didn't recognize anyone... You fought and attacked... I... I was the only one you seemed to recognize and... We believe that was because of instinct... Because we're mates... We don't think you truly knew who I am..." He swallowed again, shuffling to hug his knees to his chest. "We had to lock you in the rut room... We didn't know how long you'd be feral for... We didn't know if... If it was permanent or not..."

The air in their bedroom was tense. One arm slung over Katsuki's eyes, his other hand clenched in the sheets. Izuku held himself, keeping some distance between them as tears stung his eyes and wetted his cheeks.

"You were in there for almost two months when... My heat and your rut started... And I had to spend it with you, because... Because we needed an heir..." He whimpered the last bit, eyes pinching shut. "I felt... Awful... Dirty. I felt like I was using you... I wanted a pup so we could have a pup- have a family together... Momo and Iida just kept talking about how we needed an heir in case... In case you never came back..."

Katsuki's teeth ground together almost painfully.

Izuku licked his lips and rubbed at his eyes. "I tried to bring you back, but... You barely understood what I was saying. You were so... So far gone, you could barely talk yourself... I found out I was pregnant a couple weeks later and that was... That was the last time I had seen you... It-it was so painful-" he broke off with a sob, Katsuki able to feel him trembling despite the distance. "I couldn't- couldn't handle it anymore..! Running the kingdom, repairing the kingdom, caring for the pup, for you, knowing that I- I didn't have you anymore... It was too much...

"But this morning... You were upset... So Kaminari opened the door to your room to check on you... You escaped... You ran around, looking for me... Running away from the knights and the guards... Kirishima was the closest, so when you- you got to the stairs, you turned to fight him, but... You fell. You fell down the stairs, hurting yourself again... Just to see me..."

Katsuki finally removed his arm and looked over to his mate. His lovely scent reeked of distress and his lip trembled terribly.

"How long," Katsuki croaked.

"Wha-what..?"

"How long have you been pregnant..?"

Izuku swallowed and sniffed. "Three months," he whispered.

"I was feral for five months..?"

"Yes..."

Katsuki looked away. "Did... Did I hurt you..? Did I hurt anyone else..?"

Izuku paused. Katsuki grit his teeth. Izuku's silence was all the answer he needed.

"Fuck," he hissed, shifting to push himself up.

Izuku gasped and scrambled over to press him back onto the bed. "No, you have to rest!"

"I've been resting for over five fucking months!" He snapped, glaring at his mate.

The greenette sobbed again, crumbling in on himself.

Katsuki frowned deeply and sighed, laying back down. He doesn't remember the last time he lost his temper with his mate. He hadn't actually been angry with him in a very long time. Although, he supposed now, he wasn't angry with Izuku. He's angry with himself. He left his mate alone for five months. He's hurt his mate. He's hurt people he's considered friends.

And he doesn't remember any of it. He doesn't remember conceiving his own pup for fuck's sake. Had he been rough? How bad had he hurt his mate to ensure he got pregnant?

He clenched his jaw as he felt his own tears in his eyes. Useless... So fucking useless...

"Izuku..."

The Omega sniffed and rubbed his nose. "Yes, Kacchan..?"

Katsuki sighed, reaching his hand out. "I'm okay now... I'm here now."

Izuku hiccuped and crawled closer. He lay down and curled into Katsuki's side, pressing his nose into his mate's scent gland. Katsuki wrapped his arms around Izuku, shifting so he didn't strain his back.

Katsuki kissed the top of his mate's head and breathed deeply. "I'm here... I'm here, Izuku."

He sobbed and nodded, holding Katsuki tighter.

The King closed his eyes, rubbing up and down Izuku's waist for a few moments as the Omega calmed down. He trailed his hand down to press gently over Izuku's abdomen.

The Omega looked up at him, eyes still red and puffy, cheeks still blotchy. "Kacchan..?"

"We're going to have a family..." He said it as if he wasn't quite sure he believed it.

Izuku's smile was wobbly as he reached up and stroked Katsuki's cheek. "Yeah... They'll be safe now that the war is over..."

Katsuki's purr was broken slightly as he tilted his head and kissed Izuku's hand. "Mhmm," he hummed, taking his mate's hand and holding it to his chest. Their fingers entwined, finally happy to hold each other again.

Going feral is not a common occurance. No one really understands it. Most people gone feral die feral. Very few have come back from their feral state. What no one knew- no one realized- if you go feral once, going feral again is easy. Too easy.

And no one can control when or how or why.

The day was normal. The day was beautiful. Wonderful. Happy. They were happy. The Kingdom was thriving.

Katsuki and Izuku were visiting an outlying village, overseeing repairs. Izuku cradled their lovely little bundle close, talking to the villagers happily.

Katsuki helped with the hard labor, itching to get back home with his mate and pup.

The scent of fire was the first thing to indicate anything was wrong. The next thing was the ring of blue flames encircling the village.

Before Katsuki knew it, Izuku and his pup were being grabbed by darkly clad soldiers, villagers screaming and running, blood and smoke filling his senses. A man with black hair and shocking blue eyes sauntered towards the king, grinning wickedly.

Katsuki felt the sparks in his palms before he willed them. His chest rumbled with a growl.

Izuku screaming is what flipped the switch.

The King roared and lunged, pinning the man to the ground. He snarled and set off an explosion as his vision filled with red. A searing pain in his side had him spinning around, ripping the arrow out of himself. He hissed and spat, pouncing on his next target.

Animalistic is the only thing to describe the fight. He threw his magic out the window and fought tooth and nail-literally. He clawed at the soldiers, biting into throats and snapping limbs.

Anyone that he perceived as a threat were not spared.

He whipped his head up, pupils in slits and nostrils flared as he heard the wail of his pup. He crouched to all fours, snarling as he spotted the man holding his pup, a glint of a knife in his hand making Katsuki lunge with a roar.

Katsuki pinned the other Alpha down, fangs sinking into his throat. He growled and snapped his neck, taking his pup away.

Immediately, he crooned and nosed his pup's cheek, not noticing the blood he smeared there. He spun around, slitted eyes searching for his mate.

Izuku struggled and thrashed in the hold of another Alpha soldier, fighting as best as he could.

Katsuki growled and gripped his pup. Omega!

He ran, tucking his pup into his arm, he reached with the other.

Izuku looked up and sobbed, reaching out. Katsuki grabbed his arm and yanked.

The soldier gasped and stumbled, releasing the queen. He looked up, eyes widening as he looked up to the feral King.

Katsuki snarled and grabbed his neck, pinning him to the house. He held up the soldier, the man thrashing and gasping. Katsuki squeezed tighter, glare hardening. He didn't let go until he saw the life leave his eyes.

He looked back down to his pup, crooning and nuzzling them. His pup cooed back, settling his Alpha.

He turned and knelt in front of his shaking Omega. Izuku reached out with trembling hands. "P-pup," he whimpered, tears streaking through the soot on his face.

Katsuki complied, handling his pup with the utmost care to his mate. He watched as Izuku nuzzled and scented their pup.

"Omega," he crooned, reaching out for him.

Izuku looked up, lip trembling. "Kacchan..?"

Katsuki pulled them into his chest, rubbing his cheek into Izuku's hair. "Omega safe... Pup safe..."

His Omega shook and cried, curling into his mate. Katsuki crooned to them, growling as anyone came too close for comfort. He snarled and snapped, even at familiar hands.

The pain in his side didn't matter. He had to protect his mate and pup. They're what matters.

I spent so much time on this one and I don't feel like editing so please forgive if there's errors...

But I'm proud of it. I liked the idea. I didn't originally plan on adding the end piece, wanting to end on a happier note, but then I had the idea as I finished, so... I wrote it.
