Phone Calls from a Malfoy

A/N-Is what this chapter should have been called before I posted it.

Mary couldn't wait to tell Hermione the good news, however John told his wife that they needed to wait until they knew for sure that Hermione could get into Hogwarts, before doing something crazy like signing her out of the public school that she was currently attending, and getting her hopes up by telling her that there was a chance that she might get to go to the school of her dreams, even though it was hard Mary had to admit that John was right, But that did not mean that she couldn't pick Hermione up from school early and take her out shopping, before meeting up with John at the local Fish and Chip stand for dinner, and then taking Hermione to see the newest Disney movie at the cinema. It was now nearly Christmas, and Hermione's public school was out for holiday, which meant that it had been nearly two months, since John and Mary had their meeting with Miss Rose, yet they'd still not heard anything back from Hogwarts. And Mary was growing inpatient it was to the point where whenever she heard their home or office phone ring, she'd take off in a run to answer it. Not to mention the fact that she was always rushing out the door the second that she seen the post man coming down their street, only to be disappointed when none of the calls or mail was what she hoped it would be. Tired of waiting Mary had even taken to calling her mother daily, just to ask her if she had heard anything about Hermione's application, on only to be told the same thing every day "Mary, I have told you, due to the fact that I am the Headmistress, and Hermione is my Granddaughter, the Governors that make the final decision, are not allowing me to be in any of the current decision meeting. So I have no idea if Hermione's name has even came across their desk or not, but as soon as I know anything, I promise that I will let you know. Besides with the students about to go home on holiday, there is a very good chance that you won't hear anything until afterwards. Or possibly even later than that, if you consider the fact that allowing a student into Hogwarts Program, halfway through the year is never heard of. Which would mean that the Governors might not even fill that spot until next school year, and you might not hear anything about it until closer to September 1st. So I think that you should just relax and enjoy..." however before the older woman could finish her sentence, the phone in John and Mary's home office (which was meant for dental emergencies only) began to ring, and since John had taken Hermione out to pick out a Christmas Tree, (as they did every year) Mary needed to grab it, so she said "Sorry, Mom! But that's the office line. I need to put you on hold for a minute." Before laying the phone on the desk and heading into the other room, and saying "Hello, this is Mary Granger, and we're not in the office today. How may I assist you?" "Mrs. Granger, This is Governess Malfoy, and I am calling from Hogwarts school of Preforming Arts, to inform you that we have reviewed the application of Miss Hermione Granger. And let you know that she has passed our screening process, so if you and your husband are still interested in having your daughter attend our school  she would need to be at Hogwarts the Monday, after Holiday Break. Now as I am sure you that are aware our students are required to live in a dormitory during the school year, however we do not wish to make any child feel inadequate, so Hermione will be paired with two young girls, one whom is in her year, but started here at the beginning of the year. And the second is another transfer student whose first day will also be next week, however this girl has older siblings that have attended and still attend our program, so she won't exactly be a stranger to our rules. So I guess what I am asking is are you still interested, or should I call the next name on my list?" Now in reality Mary wanted to shout "Are you Crazy? Hell Yes! We're still interested!" However she didn't think that Governess Malfoy would find this very professional, so instead she decided to keep her cool. And say "Of course, we are! That will not be a problem at all. Is there anything that I should send with her or will everything be provided?" "No, you should get the school curriculum by Friday. Have a Good Weekend, Mrs. Granger." "You as well, Governess Malfoy, Thank you, for everything, you won't regret making Hermione a student at your school." Mary made she that she hung up the phone before screaming at the top of her lungs, as she ran back to the other phone and let her mother know the good news.
