Chapter 25: The Date

Your POV

Out of everything I could have said, out of every compliment within my vocabulary, I chose 'fuck'!? What the hell is wrong with me!?
"Well that certainly is an interesting reaction." Loki chuckled, looking me over.
"Sorry. W-what I meant to say was that you look absolutely stunning and... the pin on your tie is a cute touch." I smiled politely at him, wondering where anyone could have found something like that.
"Thank you, and might I say that you look wonderful as well." Loki complimented, bringing my hand up and kissing it. Who knew that he could be such a gentleman.
"Really?" I questioned him. In all honesty I thought that I looked alright, too... I just wanted to hear him say it again.
"Yes. I really do. No other could ever compare to your beauty." He continued, kissing his way up my arm. I hit him away lightly.
"Loki! There are people here!" He quit instantly and linked our arms.
"The helmet pin you have on your sash is rather cute as well, might I add." I scoffed at his comment and nudged him in the hip, mocking both of us slightly off balance for a moment. We walked out of the tower, only the stars illuminating our walk to the limo Tony had rented. He was very extravagant. Tony was standing there next to the car and opened the door for us.
"Hello, sir and madam. Please step inside." He said, using his best posh accent. I giggled a little and Loki led me in.
"Stark really loves to go 'all out' on these sorts of things, doesn't he?" Loki smirkes, turning to look at me.
"I suppose he does." I admitted, shrugging slightly. We laughed for a moment but continued the ride in comfortable, loving silence.

We arrived in only a couple minutes. Tony opened the door so the two of us could step out. Loki linked our arms again as I looked up at the gigantic building before us.
"T-Tony there's no way that we could afford this-"
"I know a guy that runs the place and he owes me a favor. Says you guys get a discount... you eat free." Tony winked at us and I smiled greatfully and walked in with Loki at my arm. The waiter had us seated in a secluded spot, away from everyone else. The place had a mixture of colors throughout. There were black napkins, maroon table cloths and other dark, fancy colors. It was a candle-lit dinner and the menus were sleek and new. I smoothed out the wrinkles in the table awkwardly as I looked at the wine menu. A red wine sounded nice. The waiter came over with the food menus and asked us what drinks we wanted, looking to Loki first. I looked toward him, too. He looked so dashing in that suit.
"We'll take two red wines." He told the waiter. They nodded and walked off.
"How did you know what I wanted? I didn't tell you." I questioned him, a bit surprised.
"I know lots of things about you. Including your wine preference." He chuckled and unfolded his napkin to the point where it was a triangle and set it in his lap. I followed suit. I felt completely out of place here. Some girl from a pain-ridden glass cage is suddenly able to get into a fancy dinner place? It was almost unreal. When our drinks came we had already decided what we wanted, so we ordered and spent the rest of the time talking.
"So, what's it like being a 'prince of Asgard'?" I questioned him, sipping some wine. Loki chuckled at my question.
"Well, it's a lot. You have to dress a certain way and always look approachable. You have to be kind even when others aren't and you have to smile constantly." Loki sighed, probably thinking about home.
"So it's like working at a fast-food place?" I joked, smiling into my drink. Loki laughed a genuine laugh and it made me all the more happy.
"I suppose so." He answered. His voice demonstrated his happiness, and his smile was bright. The food came to our table and we thanked the waiter. We ate in mostly silence for the rest of the meal, occasionally cracking jokes at the Avengers' expense. As the night drew to a close I realised that I didn't want to go home just yet.
"Hey, Loki?" I prodded after he had finished his meal.
"Hm?" He looked up at me with beautiful emerald eyes. I had recently found specific coordinates to a specific place. I wasn't usually one for doing anything that could be considered 'illegal', but I had a brilliant idea and I wanted to share it with him.
"Could you teleport us to (insert coordinates here)?" I questioned him. He smirked at me and did so. Suddenly, the two of us were soaking wet and in a large pool that had closed a while ago.
"(Y/n) what the-" Loki shouted but I covered his mouth quickly.
"Shh! Do you want to get us caught!?" I questioned him. He shook his head and I removed my hand.
"So, what are we doing here?" He questioned, treading the water below him.
"Just thought we could have a little fun before the night was over." I responded, shrugging slightly.
"I like the way you think." Loki smirked, pulling me to him. I giggled a little bit and splashed him, to which he splashed me back. We continues playing like this for hours, occasionally teleporting outside and pretending we were on a walk when people came by. Eventually, we got tired and bored so we teleported ourselves outside the restraunt. Loki snapped his fingers and it looked like we hadn't done anything at all.
"Yo two ready to head back?" Tony asked us, leaning against the limo. The two of us looked at each other, nodded, and got into the sleek, black limo. I smiled and nuzzled my head up against Loki as he put his arm around me. Tonight had been absolutely perfect, but right now... I just wanted to sleep...
