Nico's Perspective: Chapter 15: The Art of Deception
The mortals look at each other, and it's weird. I guess I haven't been around mortals in forever, but mortals don't have Immortal auras. I can't help but feel they're going to give us a run for our money. Christa is depending on these boys, so I hope they are the chosen ones. Kameron flinches at all the campers looking at them, then the braziers light a firewall in front of them. He looks at Doug and he nods, shadow-traveling themselves behind the crowd as the wall disappears. The campers look amazed, then look behind them. "Why did you kidnap us?" Doug asks, crossing his arms. Christa looks the boys, "We need your help...Battleborn the God of War has turned corrupt, and he mentioned that you two are the only ones who could beat him and turn him back. It was a weird gesture, but he was sure. I can tell when he's lying." she explains. "So, James has gone bad again, and you need our help?" Kameron asks, his bluish-gray eyes focusing on her. Chiron scratches his beard, then suddenly realizes something, "That's where I remember you, two boys, you are the Olympian Duo. You're Immortal Sons of Ares as well, making James your brother." he says. The campers gasp and the two boys just laugh. "You can say that again," Doug says, smirking. "Yeah, we're kind of well-known," Kameron says, dusting off his shirt, but as he does that it turns into armor. I look at them, amazed. "S-so can you help?" I knew they seemed fishy! I think to myself. "Of course, we can. This is like nothing compared to whom we've faced before. James, although a powerful ally, can be beaten by the right foe," Kameron laughs. Christa's face lights up at those words. "What are we waiting for, then?"
