"Lui! I got gummy worms!" You yelled as you shut the door behind you, juggling the numerous shopping bags you were determinedly dragging behind you.

"Gummy worms!" Lui yelled in his signature squeaker voice; making you burst out laughing, almost dropping some of the shopping. Lui appeared in the doorway, slightly out of breath; indicating he abandoned whatever he'd been doing and flown down the stairs at the mention of gummy bears. You smiled to yourself; you loved his childish nature.

"Pass me that one." He grabbed a few of the bags from your hands, hauling them to the kitchen. You followed; walking with substantial ease after the weight of the shopping had been more than halved.

"Thanks Lui." Lui mumbled something in response, but his head was buried in one of the bags, searching for his precious gummy worms.

"They're in this bag Lu." You said, rooting through one of your bags before brandishing the packet in front of you. Lui instantly turned around, his eyes fixed on the tantalizing packet. He reached for them, but you jerked them out of his reach mere milliseconds before he could grab them. He narrowed his eyes and took on a mischievous grin.

"Oh, we're playing that game now are we?" He said, his tones low and his stance betraying his playful mood.

"Bring it." That was the only encouragement that was needed. He lunged for you without warning, you merely sidestepping him before tearing up the stairs; disappearing into the guest room and quickly hiding on the opposite side of the bed. You heard Lui coming up the stairs, holding your breath.

"Come out come out wherever you are..." Lui called out, his footsteps stopping outside of the guest room door. His steps came closer as he circled round the bed. "Are you in here?"

"No!" You yelled, jumping up and leaping across the bed; but Lui tackled you and tried to grab the sweets from your hand. You managed to throw them out of his reach, and as he tried to clamber over you you grabbed his leg and dragged him back; and soon enough a wrestling match ensued. You were quickly defeated, your hands pinned down and all you could do was wriggle helplessly.

"Say I won." Lui smirked, panting slightly.

"Never!" You grinned defiantly, continuing to squirm like a worm caught in the beak of a bird. You stopped when you realized Lui's deep brown gaze was fixed on your own. You began to heat up, feeling a little uncomfortable that he was staring at you so intently. Lui began to lean down and your heart was beating so fast you were sure it had shattered your ribcage; but you were too busy to notice because Lui was resting his lips upon your own.

"You're sweeter than any gummy bear." Lui grinned and released you from his grip, grabbing the packet and leaving the room; swinging the packet around his index finger nonchalantly. You, on the other hand, had your face buried in the pillow, heart beating fast and blushing furiously – but happy nonetheless.
