Izuku swayed slowly and hummed a soft tune, tucking the blanket around Tadaaki more tightly. The baby slept soundly, fists pressed into his cheeks.

The Omega closed his eyes, breathing deeply.

A pair of arms wound around Izuku's waist, nose burying itself into the crook of his neck. The Omega smiled and tilted his head.

"Good morning, Izuku..."

"Good morning, Kacchan..."

"How is he..?"

The Omega purred softly, turning to face his Alpha. "You can hold him, Kacchan."

Katsuki forced back his excitement as he carefully took his son. However, he was unable to stop the smile on his face.

Tadaaki curled up more, pouting as he did not like being moved around.

The Alpha sighed, swaying with his son. "I don't know what I did to deserve you two... I treated your mother horribly," he muttered to the baby once he settled down.

"Kacchan..."

"It's true." Katsuki looked back up to his mate with a somber look on his face. "I treated you like shit. I drove you away. I told you to kill him- get rid of a mistake I made myself... I don't understand why you chose to stay when Todoroki was offering you everything."

Izuku pursed his lips. "I'm confused myself... But I love you, Kacchan... I have for such a long time... I had gotten tired of waiting, but while I was gone with Shoto, I just... I couldn't stop thinking about you... I wanted to try to work things out with you. I wanted to talk you into keeping Tadaaki and raising him with me... I couldn't see a future with Shoto like I pictured so many different futures with you," he offered as an explaination, looking down at the stone floor beneath them.

The blonde Alpha pulled his Omega into himself, careful of Tadaaki. He sighed, closing his eyes. "I don't know what I'd do if you ever left again... Just those few days without you were agony..."

"I won't leave again," Izuku assured softly, closing his eyes as he tucked his head underneath Katsuki's chin.

Katsuki breathed deeply, swaying slowly. "I do... Need to ask you something, Izuku," he muttered, pulling back to look his mate in the eyes. Izuku tilted his head, waiting. "I need to know... It's been on my mind since you and Todoroki were attacked, but I couldn't ignore it anymore after Tadaaki's birth... That... That green lightening... What the hell is it?"

Izuku gulped and looked away. "I... I honestly am not sure myself. I've been trying to come up with an explaination and was hoping you wouldn't ask," he answered quietly, having a hard time meeting his Alpha's eyes.

"Well, any ideas?" Katsuki pressed, searching for any kind of answer.

The Omega gulped, twiddling his thumbs. "The only thing I can think of is... Dad..."

Katsuki raised a brow. "Like... Your father, or Yagi Toshinori? All Might?"

"All Might."

"Okay..." Katsuki adjusted Tadaaki, then turned and walked into their bedroom to lay the babe in his crib. "Care to explain further..?"

Izuku followed him, teeth worrying into his lip. "He used to tell me stories of this ancient ability... It would be passed from mentor to apprentice. Usually, only Alphas would hold this ability. Dad said he had the ability, but once I got older, I figured it was more of a joke... Then he was killed before he could pass it on..."

Katsuki folded his arms, leaning on the bedpost. "So maybe... This ability was passed to you before he died... To keep it alive."

"That's the only thing I can think of..." Izuku finally met Katsuki's eyes, nervous as to how his mate would react.

The blond breathed deeply. "Guess we'll have to figure out how to control it. Can't let you run around with a strong power you have no idea how to manage," he muttered as if it wasn't a big deal.

Izuku's shoulders fell in shock and disbelief, then he sighed and shook his head. "That's it? No more? Are we done talking about it already?"

"I don't see why we need to continue talking about it. You have a ability, possibly got it from All Might, we need to find a way for you to control it. What else is there?"

The Omega smiled slightly. "I just... I thought there would be a bigger reaction than nonchalance. You're acting like it's not a big deal," he muttered, shuffling closer.

Katsuki shrugged. "Because it's not. You're my mate. I mated you after finding out you can emit lightning from yourself." He reached out and pulled the greenette into himself.

Izuku nuzzled into his chest, closing his eyes. He relaxed, breathing in the sweet scent of his Alpha.
