Episode 3: Rise of the XYZ Warriors
'Diane!' Roy thought. His mouth quivered and gradually form into a toothy grin.
The girl jumped down and tapped the drone's hull. The drone slowly tipped over and fell on it's back. A spark was omitted from the drones core. After that, it exploded, bursting out several flames at a time.
The girl smiled at Blake and held out her hand to help him up. "T-thanks" he muttered.
"Diane! Welcome back!" Roy said with a grin.
"Good to be back," Diane said, smiling at her brother.
"Any luck?" Roy said.
She paused for a moment before finally replying. "No...Unfortunately."
"Do you two know each other?" Blake asked.
"I'm glad you asked!" Roy said, waving an index finger in the air. He went over and threw his arm around Diane casually. "She's my sister!"
Blake looked at Diane from the feet up to her beautiful face and looked at Roy's creepy grin shortly after. 'This can't be...' Blake thought, sweat running down his face.
The three of them looked in front of them to see the fire truck coming along.
"I can't have them put out the fire I created." Diane said with a serious face.
She held an open palm out to the fire for a few seconds. Blake opened his mouth in curiosity. Not too long after, his eyes widened in shock.
The flames were moving towards her palm. Roy walked forward and was smiling as he folded his arms and watched. The flames vanished as they seemingly entered the palm of her hand.
The firemen looked around in confusion, making the guy who reported the fire look crazy. However, they did spot the damages.
"What kind of power is that? That's insane!" Blake said.
"Hm? He's the one you rescued right?" Diane asked.
"Yeah, but his uhm. Memories aren't too clear," Roy said.
'Clearly... else he wouldn't ask such a question,' Diane thought.
Blake looked down with a troubled facial expression. "Sorry..."
Roy and Diane looked at each other in worry.
"It's alright!" Roy said, trying his best to sound like his usual goofy-self.
Blake grimaced. He could feel that something was off. Why was it that he couldn't remember? Had the people back in the lab done something to him?
Diane touched his shoulder. "He said that it's alright. Even if you lost them, you can recover them later on."
The amnesiatic boy nodded timidly. "I sure hope so..."
"I think those are all of them for now," Diane said, eyeing the area. "I didn't see anymore while I was flying. Whoever sent those sure is persistent."
Blake released a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness. I thought that we were going to be goners."
"Speak for yourself," Roy said, putting his arm around his sister again. "The two of us would've been fine even if more robots came."
He started at the siblings with a mix of fear and fatigue. "I meant the town too." He glanced at all the debris spread throughout the city. "I think that those things were going to level the town."
"You worry too much," Roy scoffed, nodding at his own greatness. "Even if there were more of those things, we'll be able to take them down. Heck, even if Diane weren't here, I'll be able to handle them all."
Diane scoffed. "You're full of yourself, like always."
Roy stuck his tongue out at her. "Just stating the fact is all. Now, come. We still have to get Blake some clothes. But first, we need to find a new shop."
Blake stared at his black underwear, his face steaming. Diane's face turned red as she barely realized that the boy was almost completely naked!
"Oh no," Diane said, facing away.
Roy chuckled at the reaction of the two.

An hour later the trio found Blake some clothes which he could approve of.
"Your style is so plain," Roy snapped, leaning back against the wall as Blake emerged from the dressing room.
The amnesiac rocked a pair of grey shoes with two black stripes on the sides, having his long black denim pants touching them. He also had on a blue undershirt with a blue lightning bolt symbol on it, complimenting his cerulean eyes. On top of his shirt he wore a charcoal black cotton jacket.
"Alright, now that you're all dressed up, let's head over to where you'll be staying," Diane said.
Blake smiled. Finally, he could sleep in a proper bed. Hopefully a comfy one.
"Shouldn't we also show him around the school?" Roy asked.
The black haired boy blinked. "What school?" He couldn't remember attending school before, but he did recall the concept. Not to mention a strong dislike for it.
"You'll see," Diane said, grabbing him by the wrist.

The two of them escorted Blake into a nice small neon orange house with a sky blue picket fence. Parked in the driveway was a sunrise-orange convertible.
Blake jaw dropped as soon as he noticed the car. "Is this yours?"
"Nah, it's Mother's," Diane responded.
"Still. You're loaded!"
Roy chuckled. "You sure get easily surprised."
Blake sighed. It wasn't that he got surprised easily, more that the surprises have been big. Though, perhaps for Roy that wasn't the case.

We entered the house and were greeted by an orange haired woman with teal eyes. "Ahh, Roy!" she said, jumping from her seat. "I see that you rescued the boy." She looked Blake up and down, making the boy feel conscious about himself. "Hmm. I'm getting the impression that he's lost."
"He sort of is," Diane responded. She nudged Blake forward. "He lost his memories."
"Yeah, the guy doesn't even recall what XYZ is!" Roy added.
Blake narrowed his eyes at him. Was it really that common to find him not knowing to be odd? Or did Roy just enjoy making fun of him? Increasingly it was starting to look like the latter for him.
The mom of the two smiled at him. "Well, we can help him with that. I assume that you two are going to train him in preparation of becoming an XYZ Warrior?"
XYZ Warrior what did that even mean? Warrior as in a member of a military or militia group? Blake wanted to scream that he was still only fifteen!
"You mean that you want me to be a soldier?"
"Yeah, but not the kind that you're thinking of," Roy responded, putting his hands on his hips like some cartoon superhero. "We will form a league of heroes!"
Blake eyes narrowed further. "Wah?" He gave him a blank look. "Seriously? You some child or something?"
Diane snickered, only stopping when Roy glared at her. "Ah, sorry," she said.
"Come on Diane," Roy snapped. "You know that the world ain't safe."
"Huh?" Blake said.
"You don't even remember that?" their mother asked the amnesiatic boy.
Blake touched his forehead as a throbbing pain came upon him. "Uh..." Images of things burning sped through his mind. He clumped to the floor like a rag doll.
"Blake!" Diane yelled.
"Hey, man!" Roy called out.
Blake didn't respond...

"Wake up," Diane yelled, opening the windows to let light in.
Blake opened his eyes. "Diane? Uh, what happened? Why is the sun rising?"
"Uh, you sort of fainted. You didn't wake up until late in the night and quickly fell back asleep."
"Really? I... don't recall at all."
Diane's brow furrowed as she gave him a worried look. "Really? Perhaps it was because you were asleep, that's all."
"I... sure hope so," he responded. He looked up and noticed that Diane was wearing a yellow coat, white undershirt, red tie, and black skirt. "Are you going out?"
"I wish. I'm heading off to school! Mother registered you already! So hurry up! Your first day as a Sophomore at Mas High starts today!"
"Wah?" Why was he being dragged into this turmoil? Did he have no say in his life at all?
He stood up and got himself ready for school. Somehow he had remembered the routine. He took the same clothes that he had bought the other day.
"I'm ready!" he yelled, running down stairs.
There, Roy and his mother waited. Roy had his arms folded with a grim facial expression. "Took you long enough to wake up, slowpoke!"
Blake sighed. "Sorry"
"Mother has the car keys ready. Come on!" Roy called out.
The group hopped into the car. Mother hastily shoved in the car keys, turning it and began driving as the engine was sounded.
Roy was riding shotgun while Diane and Blake sat in the back. Blake's mouth quivered. He felt more than a bit awkward. To be sitting beside Diane, a flaming hot girl.
Diane however was just looking through the window with a blank facial expression.
[Minutes Later]
They arrived at Mas High School. Blake opened the left car door and got out. Diane took in a breath of fresh air and gazed at the three red flags blowing at the highest points of the school.
"We're here." Roy said with a wide toothy grin.
'His smiles are so terrifying...!' Blake thought, shivering.
"I'll pick you guys up later." their mother said, driving off.
Roy and Diane began walking toward the schools entrance. Blake stopped and stared at them both. At that instance he had a brief recollection of Roy's ability to manipulate metal and Diane's ability to manipulate and generate fire.
Blake lifted his right hand and opened his palm. 'What's mine?' he thought.
"Blake!" Diane yelled.
Blake snapped out of his daydream at the sound of her voice. "Coming!"

During their walk in the hallways. Most students were staring at Blake with confused faces. He could tell they were conversing about him. The snickering frustrated him.
"Don't worry about it Blake." Diane said with an uplifting tone.
"Do worry about it!" Roy said, laughing. "All the girls are going to make fun of you! You're not going to get any of em'! And worst of all, your grades are going to be garbage!"
Blake gasped. Diane put her index finger on Roy's face and gave him a burn. "Ow!"
"Stop discouraging him!" Diane scolded.
Blake began biting his fingers and trembling in fear. He had no recollection of going to school, but he could recall the horrors that any teenager would have to face. Roy wasn't just trying to discourage him, he was just stating the facts!
"Oh for the love of. Now look what you did!" Diane yelled, burning him again. Roy made a grim face.
"Jeez, sorry!"
Suddenly, a watermelon pink haired girl bumped into Blake. As she did, his cerulean eyes and her watermelon pink eyes met. They were so focused on eye contact that they began turning with each other and their backs faced the opposite direction of where they were going.
"O-oh, I'm sorry." the girl said. She ran off, covering her face with both her hands. Blake scratched the back of his head, looking from left to right. Students were looking at him with all smiles for some reason.
Diane tapped his shoulder. "See! A potential girlfriend already!"
Blake snapped. "A girlfriend! No way!"
Roy rubbed his chin in wonder. Suddenly his mouth quivered and gradually made itself into a knowing grin. "You know, Blake. No girl wants a guy who doesn't know his powers... hmm?"
"Nonsense!" Diane said. "The students at this school don't even know that we ourselves have powers. Besides, Blake doesn't need to know his powers for now. We can protect him."
Blake felt a slight guilt. He knew that he had powers, yet he had no idea what they were. Especially that feeling of dependence on Roy and Diane.
***
They stood in front of a white door with a mesh that showed the inside.
"Here goes." Roy said in seriousness.
Roy pushed open the door and every student looked at them as they entered. Blake shook in fear and stepped back slightly. "My life... is over..."
