Episode 10: Gold and Silver
Chenge and Blake each tried to get the ball but Blake failed to do so. Chenge ran past him and threw the ball toward Melony who shot a three pointer from where she stood.
"Damn. She is good," Roy said, whistling.
Blake blushed as his stared at her. Or rather her buttocks. His knees started to shake. From everyone's view it looked like he was about to keel over.
"Hey, what's up with that guy?" someone said.
"He's always been a weird one." replied another.
Blake fell to his knees.
Diane's eyes widened and eased forward.
"Wait... I've seen this before. This is the same thing that..."
Small sparks suddenly appeared from Blake's knees. Roy jumped in front of him. Attempting to hide the sparks.
Mrs. Alma shook her head rapidly in frustration. "Hey! Do you need a time out or something?" she yelled.
Melony reached a hand out toward Blake but Diane slapped it away. "I'll take care of him."
Melony leered at her. "Oh..."
Meanwhile Silver and Gold stared into each other's eyes. Silver stared at him blankly whilst Gold gave a closed smile with aggressive eyes.
'What are you doing here...' Silver signed, gritting his teeth.
"Oh my," Gold said, putting up his index finger. "That's no way to talk to your big brother!"
Silver looked away to escape the clutches of his golden gaze.
"There's no conflict between us. It's just one big game, right?"
'What do you seek? Why look for me after all these years?'
Gold snickered. "I just wanted to find you. You are my only living relative left." He patted his head. "I miss the little brother who used to follow my every direction."
Silver swatted his hand away. 'I've changed... and so have you. But if you're here... then are you out of that man's control?'
"Control?" Gold asked, laughing at him. "I did that from my own free will. I don't expect you to understand..."
Silver grabbed his brother by the collar of his jersey. 'You're trying to say that you killed our parents on purpose? Why?'
Gold grabbed his hand and flashed him a slasher smile. "Because it was fun! You should try it one of these days, Brother."
Silver slammed him against the wall and grasped his older brother's neck.
Everyone turned their attention toward the siblings. People were shocked to see how violent the younger brother could be."
"What are you doing?" Gold gasped. "Brother... I never knew that you hated me this much."
'Stop acting,' Silver mouthed, loosening his grip. He threw his brother unto the floor and ran out of the gym.
"Are you alright?" Mrs. Alma asked, helping Gold up.
Gold gave her a weak smile. "Thanks. I think I will be..." He glanced at the door. "Though I fear for my younger brother." His hand journeyed across the red markings that Silver's grip had left. "Please. Take it easy on him."
His teacher lowered her head, staring at her phone. "Sorry, But what Silver tried to do shouldn't be taken lightly."
"Gold, are you alright?" Bella asked, reaching her hand out toward him.
Gold smiled and grabbed her hand. "I'm doing well... Your mother here, called the police on my brother, though."
Mrs. Alma sighed. "I only called security. It'll be their decision what Silver's fate will be."
"Silver..." Diane said. She shook her head and bolted out of the gym. She saw school security quickly approaching. She hid behind a wooden pillar near the locked and ran as soon as they were far away.
She continued to run until she was outside. Her honey brown eyes scanned her surroundings until she recalled the spot where she had met Silver. She ran up to the secluded part of the school; obstructed from the main parts by an orchid. When she came to the spot she saw Silver.
"You punk," a familiar voice called. It was one of the guys from when they had met Silver. "Not sure how the heck you whooped us last time. But this time we're getting payback!"
"Yeah!" said another one. This one was lanky and had a thick accent.
The young man released a chilly energy from the palm of his hands and froze the trio in an instant. There. They look much nicer as sculptures.
Diane backed away and watched as Silver touched the sculptures. The look on his face was just like that of his brother's.
He glanced at the blonde and unhanded them. Taking a deep breath, he slipped his hands into the pockets of his jeans and walked away. Not giving her a second glance.
"Wait!" she called out, running toward him. "What you did back there, and what you just did now. Why did you it."
Silver stopped. He could tell her. Not that she would understand sign language, though. Plus it wasn't any of her business what he was feeling.
Diane grabbed Silver's arm. He spun around until to face her. There faces were only a few inches apart. "Don't be like Roy..."
He swallowed hard. A pale hand reached out to the blonde. 'I'm sorry,' he mouthed. Silver turned and ran off into the distance as police swarmed the area.

Gold walked into a three story white mansion and rubbed his shoulder as he removed his backpack.
"You're tired?" Bella asked as she held the backpack for him.
He looked away. "No. Why would I be? I'm Gold!"
She snickered. "Your name might be 'Gold', but that doesn't mean that you are indestructible." She leaned in closely as he opened the door. "Gold is a soft metal after all."
The older twin scoffed. "Me, soft? Silver is the soft one."
She shook her head, giggling. "I've known you for a long time. You love to play the tough guy act."
Gold closed his eyes and thought back to how they had met. It had been a year after he had made Silver and himself into orphans. During all that time he hadn't talked, and barely ate. No one in detention dared to approach him for fear that they'll end up like them. That was until she came. A blind girl who couldn't even see the emptiness of his eyes. Yet she could sense it better than anyone. Something which even his own parents and twin brother couldn't see.
He rolled his eyes. "No idea what you're talking about."
She pushed him inside the house. "Come on. Don't play dumb."
Gold ruffled his hair in frustration. Why did she always have to bring out this side of him?
"Shut it."
She wrapped her arms around his neck. "You're so cute when you're like this."
Gold gasped. "What! How dare you! Call me c... cute? How can you even tell? You can't even see!"
Gold's bag dropped to the floor as Bella's arms slowly unwrapped. She turned away. "Right. I can't. I'm... going to go practice."
He clenched his hands into fists. "W..." He bit his tongue. No. What are you doing, Gold? You can't ask for forgiveness. Only the weak do that. You're strong.
The teen sat down at the nearest sofa and put both hands over his face. "Idiot!"
"What's wrong, Master Gold?"
Gold removed his hands from his face. A green-haired man around his early twenties stared at him. No visible expression at all.
"Nothing, Verdant." He sat up straight. "Tell me. How is the project coming along? Have you finished the spokes?"
The man adjusted his glasses. "No. Sadly I haven't. But rest assure. They will be completed shortly. What we need, though is a powerful energy source."
"A powerful source? Well, XYZ should do just that."
He shook his head. "We require a special kind of XYZ power. Something like a lightning or fire based one."
"I have fire."
"True, but it might not be enough. There's also another issue. I've searched through the writings on my old teacher-- Professor Lukas-- on fusion. It seems that forcing one like we hope will be risky. Your powers have already caused damage to both Silver and you. To try to-"
Gold held a hand up. "We'll be fine. I will be serving as the fusion's base after all."
Verdant cross his arms and rubbed his chin. "No, young man. Take things with--"
"Come Verdant, you worry too much," said another man in a white lab coat as he swept his long blue hair back. "I'm certain that Gold here will be fine. As for an energy source. I got an idea of who we shall pick."
"Who?" Gold asked.
The second scientist grinned evilly. "A girl by the name of 'Diane'."
