Ali: Aang! Here's a truth for you! trippy_wacko wants to know if you didn't runaway, and if Katara and Sokka didn't find you in the iceberg, how do you think your life would have turned out?

Aang: Well, I would've gone to the Eastern Air Temple and then the Fire Nation would've attacked the Air Nomads. I bet that they would go to the Southern Air Temple first since that was where I was born and slaughter all the nomads there. And then they would probably realize that I wasn't there and come to the other Air Temples trying to find me. If they found me, I don't know if I could go into the Avatar State or not because at first, I could only get into it by my emotions. I probably would've died trying to save my people and another Avatar would be reborn into the Water Nation.

Sokka: And I would not have found my best friend.

Katara: And I would not have found my boyfriend and would never have learned waterbending.

Toph: I would have grown up as the good girl Toph Beifong.

Zuko: And I would not have been banished and turned out like my father. 

Ali: So, it would be a horrible life without Aang.

Aang: Yeah. 

Suki: Well, I'm glad you left.

Aang: That's supposed to be nice when all my people died?

Sokka: If you didn't leave, this world would be different. Horrible and desolate. 

Ali: How do you even know what that means?

Sokka: I don't. It just seemed like a good word to use.
