Tomiwa POV

I was in the bathroom doing my business as usual when I felt like I've been hit by a bold of invincible lightning. I groaned in pain hoping and silently praying it wasn't my village people attacking me . I hadn't complete that line of thought when I felt another surge of pain cause through me, but this time it was from my waist down to my legs as I began to feel serious abdominal pain.

it was certain, this wasn't my village people. It was MY TIME OF THE MONTH!!! I groan again as another wave of pain hit me. Now is not the time I mentally scolded the hormones that though a school morning was the perfect time to show up. Few minutes later I felt a wetness between my tight as an indication of it presence.

Couldn't you wait till after I took my bath you annoyingly painful period!

With a scrowl plastered on my soapy face I hurriedly finish my business in the bathroom as the red liquid was now flowing freely. Once I was done I used a piece of toilet roll as stop gap as I rushed out of the bathroom into the room. I quickly got to work wiping my body clean and using a little body cream, getting my undine and school uniform ready I quickly used a pad knowing another wave was on its way. Sure enough 30 sec late a felt the pressure on my abdomen, flowing out of me and into my pad. I check the time on my small Nokia E63 phone and it read forty seven minutes past seven.

It was already late for assembly might as well take my time I thought. I wore my tight first before I wore my skirt and uniform, with my long white socks always reaching my knees I sat on the bed to buckle my shoe before moving to my hair. Since it was always short and wavy i decide to plat it a little bit before pining it to the side. I took my time on my face because my face always looked like that of a scarecrow when ever I was on my period.

Satisfied with my look in the mirror, I adjusted the glasses on my face before stepping out with my already packed bag. My elder brother who just came back from a sleep over at his friends hostel, seem really cheerful this morning. Maybe the girl he's been trying to woe for a week has finally I agreed to be his bae I thought

Nah, he probably just had a good night sleep for the first time in a long time

My subconsciousness suggested. I tried greeting him with as much cheerfulness as I could muster, but instead, I sounded like someone was under some sort of mind control and was being controlled to speak.

"Ooh good morning to you grouch pants "

"Urgh! you know who, showed up, and ruined my whole mood day"

I responded, he nodded his head in affirmation knowing I was referring to my period as ' you know who'. Not wanting to future ruin my mood by dueling on it, he choose to talk about something else. Unknown to him the question he asked was a sour topic for me and him asking was just adding fire to my gasoline.

"Soo the great list huh... Did you get in?"

We were now in the car and he was pulling out of the compound, since he always drop me off at school. I gave him a plus lips smile before I mumbled my respond to his question.

"I'd rather not talk about it. "

It was still too upset that I didn't get into Dowen Academy and I still don't get why? I was certain I attempted all the question right so what could possibly be the problem. I sigh in regret, if i had known I wasn't going to to get in I probably wouldn't have tried at all. Wanting to get my mid of the sour topic and fill the awkward silence that was starting to ensure I spoke up.

"Soo how's Bianca, that sorry excuse of a well mannered edo girl you've been chiking all week"

"Oh that... That would be the last time I'd ask an Edo girl out. "

"Really, why? "

"Well if she have rejected me like a reasonable person, i would have backed off like a reasonable person. But no she chose to reject me in the most humiliating way possible. "

"Oh my god!!!! I am soo sorry I did--"

"Oh don't be, i got back at her for it. Since we attend some lecture in school together, and I'm the class governor I made sure to extort money from her as well as making her apologize to me in front of the whole class. "

"Oh my god!!!!! Bro! you did not do that."

"Oh I did alright and.. I got you a little something for your breakfast. "

We were currently a few street away from my school stuck in a Little traffic when my brother stretched from the drivers sit to the back sit to pick something in a paper bags. On retrieving It he sat himself properly in the drivers sit before passing the paper bag to me. He turned the ignition roaring the engine to life, as we moved from our current posting closing in on my school; opening the paper bag I found a neatly packed shawama and my spirit was automatically lifted.

" awwwn thank you big bro. You're the best "

"Your welcome little sis, but I can't take all the credit, Bianca was the one that indirectly provided the money "

"Ha! the poor girl must be raining cause on you right now "

"I know right "

"But seriously bro you gotta be careful, she might want to get back at you for doing this to her. Girls like Bianca don't just back out of being publicly humiliated, especially if it is done by a boy. "

"True you do have a point "

It was in that moment my stomach grumbled in hungry and i chuckled saying

"Looks like my stomach can't wait to munch on this beautiful shawama "

"Well sadly it will have too because we are at your school gate right now. "

My brother responded before he packing his car in front of my School. I sigh in disappointment before packing the paper bag and putting in my school bag. I gave my brother a side hug thanking him again for providing my breakfast which I've already missed, but would eventually turn to my lunch since I can't eat while class is going on. I step out of the car and headed to my class but was stopped by one of the student teacher Miss okafor

"And where may I ask are your coming from young lady. "

Feign a smile I responded hoping she would let me of with a warning, after all its still first week of resumption so lateness was some how permit.

"Can't you speak or are you deaf and dump? "

"No I am not, and if you must know so bad I'm coming From home "

I responded curtly with a frown gracing my beige lips she glared at me before asking future question.

"And so, at this time when your peers have almost finished there first lesson for today. This shows how unserious you are, common to set alarm and wake up early for School you can -- "

Okay she was taking it too far, and before she had the chance to land, I cut here shut with my respond

"Eshhhh hang it, if you want to know how unserious I am then go and check the school record and stop disturbing me with your over sabi"

i sneered before I walked out on her, leaving her stare at my retreating back with her mouth slightly ajar. I got to class to find my Further maths teacher spitting formulas about algebra i mentally groaned in frustrated as much as I hated learning future maths was my worst. I walked into the class and took a sit beside Erica she gave me cut nod as greeting so she doesn't break the flow of concentration with the teacher.

I just joined in bring out my future math note book from by bag to join in the lesson. As usual my mind never wanting to pay attention in class wonder back to Dowen Academy. Maybe there is a chance they didn't offer further maths in there school.

My subconsciousness mocked me and I just growled at it as usual and it I'd the trick. If only I was a student of Dowen Academy how great would my life be. I sigh in regret wondering about all the side attractions I was missing right now at the Dowen Academy. Classes we're takes for ever to end and I reached under my locker hoping to grab a snack either a shout cake or a cupcake but I found none. What happed to factory that leaves surprise Shortcakes and cupcakes under my locker I thought,

Gee I don't know, maybe its because a certain someone yelled at them to 'shut down' two days ago ... genius

I whine feel the impact of my subconsciousness scolding me for being too hash on Smith-walker. I should probably apologize for that, I was kinda hash even for me.

Ya think !?!

Okay subconscious i get your point, I'll Apologize to him during lunch. Maybe he'll have one of those short cake, I really missed the nuttiness of those cakes in all its creamy goodness

Chia see you life outside! ehennn! so you are apologizing to him because of cake. Hmm wonder shall never end.

I chuckled inwardly at that and my stomach grumbled at the thought of shortcake. The thought of that only had me wish lunch was here already, sadly it wasn't, I still had one more class before lunch break. For now I was stuck with paying attention to my chemistry teacher who just stared his class 30 seconds ago.
