NC OREO REVEAL 💥💥💥💥💥💥

I doodled him on Wednesday during ochem lecture LMAOOOO and I was like. "Well guess I'm doing a NC chapter next"

Okay and then I drew these literally just now ^_^ more polished concept art

OKay!!!!!!! I wanted to change Oreo's design for this AU to imply ✨️the passage of time✨️ and the first thing that came to mind was to grow his hair out....it's also dyed white at the ends ^_^ was inspired by Ink (hi!!!) saying how she wanted to include more white in the Oreo design.

The 2nd drawing is just with his hair down lol. Idk if it's very accurate with like the physics and texture but whtvr.

I also wanted to change up his look partially bc PC and Ph in Dragon AU look different while he looks mostly the same. Sooo I did the opposite in this AU ^_^ Obviously it's not THAT different but yknow. That being said I might mess around with NC PC's design just a smidge. Idk if I'll do anything with Ph tho....we love a consistent king

OKAY SO I'M BACK from reading Ink's chap with the genderbent alliance and the thing abt Oreo's dress style changing depending on his view of himself was INSANE bc I think I subconsciously did the same thing with NC Oreo. Like I drew him with just a hooded jacket and shirt bc I think he dresses a bit more plainly in this AU. Or at the very least Not as eboy as he used to.

I can't rlly put it into words that don't just echo what Ink said because like. I Did Not explicitly think about that decision while I was drawing. It just made sense to me yk. Like in his head he doesn't rlly have a reason to dress up all silly anymore. Like why bother. That being said he still cares abt being presentable LOL he's just not as over the top as he used to be (it's the horrors)

So like. Originally when I introduced NC AU it was bc I was talking abt all the other AUs and I was like "oh heyyyy remember that oneshot u made. That counts as an AU too you should talk about it as well"

And I lwk thought it would kind of be one and done BUT CHAT I'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT IT SO MUCH. FUCK!!!!!!!!!! MY BRAIN IS IMPLODING 😭😭😭😭😭😭 Neurodivergent brain blast.

So yk. Expect more NC AU content 😁😁😁😁 I do like this AU very much it's filled with so much interpersonal relationship Horrors 😊😊😊💔💔💔💔💔 I'm rolling bc my 3 OI AUs consist of Heartbreaker which is very very dramatic and YA style (I've yet to become attached to Heartbreaker like I am to Dragon and NC but we'll see!!), Dragon which is more fantastical and in a completely diff setting altogether, and NC which is the equivalent of the depressing nature of reality. Idk that's just very funny to me

Omfg drawing AU content vs canon content are duking it out in my brain. I know I say this like every other chapter but I have SOOOOOO MUCH SHIT I WANT TO DRAW. BUT I FEEL SO BAD FOR MAKING SO MANY AU CHAPS 😭😭😭😭 I'll get it all done eventually.....maybe.

Listen I'm a sucker for the 'coincidence turned routine' trope.....I mean here they're doing it on purpose but u get what I mean. THEY'RE TRYING TO BE SUBTLE THO bc Police Hat doesn't wanna look/be clingy (he is So clingy) and god forbid Pudding Cup lets Ph know she has feelings (she has So many feelings).

Also PC has a backpack now bc college. Theoretically Ph should also have a bag for work but. Shrug

So this is like. The first time they're hanging out outside of """"""coincidentally"""""" running into each other 😊😊😊😊 and after this their relationship starts actually going back to normal ie they start texting each other again and actually make plans for just hanging out.

I think one of my fave things abt the non competition setting is that they can just. Go anywhere. And they can talk to each other and spend time together outside of that whole....idk what's the word. Like there's no expectation or pressure on them?....????? Not that either of them become wildly different ppl on camera vs off camera nor that their friendship on the show was ingenuine. I just think that there's a softness in knowing each other outside of the circumstances of the competition.

OKAY I GOT IT it's like having a friend you only see everyday at school vs a friend you make plans with outside of it. Both of them are your friends but with the latter you're putting in extra effort to see and spend time with. And the implication of 'I like you enough to go that extra mile' is sooooo <333333

Yogurt is FINALLY alive guys 😁😁😁😁 for those who don't know/need a refresher, waaaaay back in. Um. 2018???????? I gave Pudding Cup a little brother but he was like. Dead. I think it was bc of the whole massacre joke PC made in ep8 and 13 yr old me was like "okay but what if"

Tangent but in the 5 year anniversary qna Asaph made, APPARENTLY that was supposed to be real Pudding Cup lore that would've been canonically brought up at some point, but upon closer inspection they decided against it bc it was clear she was just trying to get Oreo to fuck off.

Actually idk which came first, Yogurt as PC's brother or Yogurt as an OC. Shrug.

I'll go over his design choices a little later but for now just know that he's like...15/16? And Pudding Cup and Police Hat are like 22/23. Tall just runs in the family LOL

I thought it'd be funny if Police Hat got to meet PC's family.....except Yogurt doesn't like Ph because of the whole argument in episode 9 😭😭😭😭

Another aspect of the NC AU that fascinates me is the concept of how ppl view the ex-contestants. And like how their actions/reputation on the show will precede them. Like bro imagine being known as the guy who blew up a room for a woman who didn't even like you back 😭😭😭 imagine being known AS that woman. Omfg me when being on a reality show impacts you for the rest of your life. Maybe one day I'll visit the other contestants in this AU and expand on how they're doing.

OKAY BUT LIKE IF you think abt it 'No Closure' goes beyond JUST the trio. Like Fire Axe/Sandwich/Lemon. Watermelon/Orange. ....that might be it actually :/ Oreo/Watermelon too.

Anyway I bring this up bc this is why PC's family/friends initially disapprove of Police Hat (and Oreo). I imagine they watched the show to support Pudding Cup and then all of the everything happened and they were like. Holy shit.

Pudding Cup's mom eventually comes around after seeing that Ph is actually genuine and treats Pudding Cup well (and yk. She can just Tell) and is like "you know I wasn't sure abt him at first but I'm glad you have such a good boyfriend Pudding Cup <3" and Pudding Cup's like "WE'RE NOT DATING MOM" as she and Ph spend a majority of their free time together and show each other all their fave spots around town and always sit really close together and whenever they're out late Ph sees PC back to her dorm and they tease each other like they used to and-

HOWEVER it takes longer for Yogurt to come around bc 1) he's a teenager and rage is in his blood LMAO and 2) he respects Pudding Cup a lot she is near and dear to his heart despite their 'siblings who are mean to each other' dynamic. So there's a pinch of 'protective older brother' in him despite being younger lol.

Ph lwk just accepts this bc yeah he was an asshole so he's like "yeah I deserve that"

Ate (Ah-teh) means big sister in Filipino/Tagalog btw :] inspo from Ink saying PC is Filipino.......

When I was drafting this comic I wondered if Yogurt would call PC by an honorific since that's a big thing in Asian countries. So I did a little research and yeah it's a thing in the Philippines too!!! Theoretically PC would call Yogurt something like Totò (little brother) or Bunso (youngest/baby sibling), but idt she's that traditional. Also just from personal experience I only use honorifics for my older brother but I call my younger siblings by name LOL. However I think it would be silly if she sometimes uses Bunso to really emphasize the baby sibling aspect :3

Anyway. Like I said before Ph just takes it LOL. I think it'd be funny if he casually brings this up to PC one day tho like "yeah haha your brother doesn't really like me though. He threatens me basically everytime we see each other" and PC goes "????? Dude why are you letting him talk to you like that. If he did that to me I'd kick his ass."

Okay so for Yogurt. Idk why I chose yogurt of all things bc like. They're not even in the same food category. It's whatever though, I don't feel like changing it esp after all this time ^_^ luckily his face shape and etc were pretty much already determined by way of being related to PC, but I didn't want him to just be masc Pudding Cup yk. Idk why I gave him a ponytail I was just fucking around w/ it.

The sweater def was an intentional choice tho. It's a cream-white color and the stripes are like a dark green. If you look up Activia yogurt that's basically the idea I'm going for LOLLLLL

I actually made a humanization of Parasol before in....squints. 2022. It's in the 'I am now a senior citizen' chapter. I think her hair should be more wavy but I think everything else is okay..........

She's one of if not the tallest out of all my object OCs so it made sense for her humanization to be tall ^_^ taller than PC even. I wanted her head shape to resemble like the 'head' of a parasol but I wasn't rlly sure how to make that work well 🤔 soo I gave her a more pointed head shape instead along with narrowish eyes. I just thought it suited her 😁😁 kinda like the spike at the top of a parasol.

It was at this point I realized she looked kinda Asian so. Asian Parasol 👍👍👍👍 I'm not sure what flavor of Asian tho. She looks kind of Chinese to me???? Or Vietnamese. Sorry guys I'm a fake Asian 😔😔😔😔😔

Anywayyyy I think her hair is colored also.... 😁😁😁 like with pinkish-lilac streaks. And her natural hair is probby black or something lol.

I didn't think much abt the clothing except I wanted it to be very fem. She has a similar tomboy-like personality to PC but Parasol does present feminine. You can kind of see a floral pattern on her skirt.... ^_^ her aesthetic is generally kind of lacy/flowy and flowery. I imagine the top is like a soft yellow-white while the skirt is the same pink-lilac as her hair? Shrug. Again very fem-associated colors is the idea.

Okay. NC Pudding Cup lore 😁😁😁😁 this applies to regular PC too.

So. You may have noticed I never mentioned Pudding Cup's dad. Again inspo from Ink saying PC was raised by a single mom 😁 the idea is that after Yogurt was concieved/born her dad went out of the picture. I think he left rather than died 💔. So 8 year old Pudding Cup basically helped raise Yogurt while their mom worked, which is why she and Yogurt are super close AND also why PC is the way she is.

She basically had to grow up fast and while this did help her become an #independentwoman it also severely stunted her ability to be emotionally vulnerable 😭😭😭😭 since she had to be the strong one yknow. So that's why she's so shit at being genuine with her emotions and ESPECIALLY her more vulnerable ones.

Listen I put Oreo and Ph through so many horrors it's about time I put PC through it too LMFAO

Sighs wistfully....thinking about PC repression vs Oreo and Ph sincerity. And through them learning how to be more vulnerable herself. Guys I'm not normal. GUYS. ........I mean okay Oreo and Ph do their fair share of repressing but IN A DIFFERENT WAY THAN PC. Shakes them like chew toys.

Like Yogurt idk if Parasol the OC came first or Parasol in PC lore. In any case the latter is based off how in ep9 Pudding Cup is texting someone who is obviousy a friend of hers....and I was like "ayo........."

Idk if Parasol is real in regular PC lore actually but in NC AU she's Pudding Cup's roommate/bestie 😁😁😁 Idk if they're still childhood besties, but they've known each other for at least a few years and are pretty close.

Oh actually. I'll talk abt Parasol and Ph.....yeah uh like Yogurt, Parasol Does Not approve of Ph LMFAO but she eventually comes around. Idk if she takes longer or shorter than Yogurt tho. She's also more direct with it than Yogurt I feel....she'll be like "look idk why Pudding Cup is even giving you a second chance but don't fuck it up or else"

And Ph will respond with something like "yeah idk why either haha but I promise I won't" (guys he feels So Guilty over it 😭😭)
