Hi guys am sorry for not updating for months now. I hope this one makes up for it.

This one shot starts from Arshi's elopement but with a few changes and lot of twist.

Arnav and Khushi stood in front of the family with their appearance screaming the consequence of their elopement. Both the Raizadas especially the Guptas were not happy at the view in front of them except Shashi who was glad Khushi's marriage was with Arnav as he has witness the growing love between them but knew their past clashes has kept them at bay and also Arnav is the only one he trusts to protect Khushi from Shyam. Anjali limped over to Arnav and said in an angry tone.

"Chote..... How could you take this step without informing me and also before mine approval...... Yes we wanted Khushi as the daughter in law of this family but not in this manner...... I had so many plans for your marriage and you disappointed me by doing this.... But the one who disappointed me the most is Khushi." Turning to a crying Khushi who couldn't control her tears and the shock surrounding her sudden marriage to Arnav. "If Arnav doesn't believe in marriage and it rituals it didn't give you the right to agree to this. "

Arnav looked a his sister with shock but wasn't surprised at all as since their childhood Anjali has always been a control freak and since he didn't want to hurt her feelings and the circumstances surrounding their mother's suicide he did the mistake of not making her know the limit of intruding in his life but today he will put her in her place.

Arnav was about to speak when an angry Madhumati beat him to it.

"Now you people know the reason why I was against you and Shashi adopting this orphan...... She is nothing but a curse which always snatch our happiness from us. " Madhumati said in disgust.

"How could you do this to me Khushi...... After everything we have done for you...... Is this how you repay us...... Bhabhi is right you are a curse and bad omen..... I regret the day I supported Shashi in his insistence of adopting you...... Because if you hadn't been in our lives we won't be facing this shame and humiliation today. " Garima continued pouring salt on the wounds of Khushi.

The elders stood numb at the choice of words the Gupta women were spitting out on Khushi.

Even though what they did was wrong the Guptas have gone too far and Payal was about to worsen it.

Shyam was smirking enjoying Khushi's state as he was furious Khushi chose to marry Arnav instead of him. NK who was not having it spoke up.

"Enough Madhumati and Garima." NK said without any respect as he felt they deserves none for what they said about his best friend and this shocked the others. "How can you accuse Khushiji like that? "

"She is telling the truth." Payal spat out in disgust shocking Khushi but not Arnav who knew Payal was going to show her true colors.

" Jiji! " A broken Khushi whispered but enough for everyone to hear.

"Don't you dare jiji me...... I am not your sister and buaji was right about you..... You are curse and a black shadow on my happiness..... First because of you Abhishek broke off our marriage and as if that wasn't enough the video of you falling into Arnavji's arms forced us to leave Lucknow because of the humiliation we went through because of that...... Papa's condition is also your fault...... And when finally am about to have my happiness you do this. " A crying Payal said in anger and disgust shocking everyone as the couldn't digest the fact that the shy and cool Payal could spit out such venom.

Akash was shocked as he started questioning himself whether he knew Payal or not.

Arnav also stood in shock at what in a moment of ego has done to the woman he loves.

The words black shadow, curse, bad omen kept ringing in her ears. Khushi place her hand ears thinking it will stop but it got worse. Arnav and the others panic and Arnav pulled Khushi into his arms but Khushi started thrashing in his arms chanting.

"Am not a bad omen......... Am not a bad omen. "

Even the Guptas felt bad but the damage was already done and ASR is about to put each and everyone in their place but for now Khushi is more important than anyone or anything.

Arnav's trance was broken when he felt Khushi go limp in his arms. Arnav gently shook her thinking she will wake up.

"Khushi please wake up..... Jaan please don't do this to me....... Open you eyes dammit. " A crying Arnav yelled but Khushi was still the same. Anjali was limping towards them when Arnav yelled making everyone flinch. "Stay the fuck away from us. " This made Anjali stop in her tracks.

Arnav carried Khushi bridal style and asked NK to call the doctor. Arnav then took Khushi to his room and place her on the bed and kneeled beside the bed and took Khushi's hand and said while tears kept on cascading down his cheeks.

"Am sorry Jaan....... Am so sorry for hurting you.... But please believe me I love you with all my heart...... Please wake up. "

This made the family ashamed at their approach to the situation with exception of Shyam who didn't like where all this was heading. Shortly after a few minutes the family doctor came in and checked on Khushi. After he was done Arnav asked in a worried tone.

"Please doctor.... What happened to my wife. "

The doctor was shocked when Arnav said please as he knows him as a rude person. At that instant he knew  this lady was very important and special to Arnav. He placed his hand on Arnav's shoulder and said.

"Relax ASR...... She lost consciousness out of shock ...... I gave her some injections and she will wake up by tomorrow morning...... Please immediately give her light food when she wakes up and also she needs a lot of ample rest...... "

A doctor said before taking his leave. Arnav slowly walked to the bed and sat on it. And kissed Khushi's fore head and let his lips linger on it for sometime as if drinking her in. He broke the kiss and stood up and turned only to find his family and the Guptas.

"Chote...... We ar...... "
Nani said but was cut off by Arnav.

"I don't want to be rude so please all of you...... And I mean all of you wait for me downstairs. " Arnav said without any emotions. Nani signalled everyone to leave them alone. Arnav moved to Khushi again and kissed her gently on the lips and said.

"Jaan... Don't worry I will fix everything soon. "

The family silently left to join Shashi who was left alone on his wheelchair. NK sensed his restlessness and assured him Khushi was alright. After a few minutes Arnav came down with a blank look on his face and walked up to Madhumati whose Arnav's height and his expression made her shudder in fear.

"So Miss Madhumati Gupta.... According you, your two face niece and bhabhi  here, MY Khushi is a bad omen, black shadow and a curse and yet you and your bhabhi stole her possessions and either gave it to your two faced niece her or lost it in a Ponzi scheme..... Am I right? " Arnav said making Madhumati and Garima shocked as to how Arnav knew about their secrets.

Payal looked her mother and Madhumati and from their nervous expression knew they had done something really bad. The others also stood in confusion at what Arnav said.

"Nannav...... What are you talking about? " Asked NK.

Arnav moved over to Shashi kneeled down to his level and said.

"Mr Gupta please what am about to reveal is the truth your wife and sister has been hiding from you all this years....... I know you knew nothing about it and you will be shocked about the two faced people you have been living with all these years. "

Madhumati and Garima started sweating knowing that Arnav will reveal their shady and dirty secret today. Arnav stood up and started.

"You see you sister and wife only agreed for you to adopt Khushi not because they wanted it but it was because of the crores and insurance policies also worth lakhs left in Khushi's name by her parents and according to her parents will...... Her guardians will be in charge of it until she turned eighteen..... Which you wife found out and told your sister and that's why they agreed for you to adopt Khushi and kept this hidden for their own greed."

This shocked everyone at the greed of the Guptas were capable of doing something like that.

Shashi was the most hurt as he never thought his wife and sister were these selfish and so was Payal and she felt bad for what she said to Khushi and she was about to feel worse as she was unknowingly part of it.

"Nannav...... If Khushi had all this money then why are they poor. " A confused NK asked.

"They lost all the money in a Ponzi scheme. " Arnav answered. Making everyone gasp in shock.

"And what about the insurance policies....... What was it about?" NK asked again.

"Well...... Our beloved new bahu of the Raizada family was the one who benefited from it. "

This shocked Payal and the others but keep quiet as they knew there was more to the story.

"You see the insurance policies were education insurance Khushi's parents did for Khushi but was given to our two faced bhabhi here. Her entire education belonged to Khushi but was stolen and given to her by her aunt and mother. "

"Enough...... Mr Raizada you can't accuse my aunt and mother of such  atrocities. " An angry Payal yelled.

Making the Raizadas shocked at this new Payal. They realised Payal was fake.

Payal moved to her mother and aunt and said.
"Amma why are you quiet.... Tell them all this is a lie told by that witch Khushi. "

"He is telling the truth Payaliya. " Madhumati said with her head bowed in shame knowing it was time the truth came out. Payal backed off and almost fell but was held by Akash.

"Not only did we steal her money we taunted her because we thought she was the reason for a humiliation we went through a year before her 18th  birthday......one day when you and your father were out Khushi called us to meet her at arestaurant and from the sound of her voice we knew it was something serious. We got there and was immediately arrested by the man who told us about Khushi's parents will. We were accused of fraud and embezzlement but Khushi later dropped the case even though the man insisted but she refused. Instead of being grateful for that we rather let our ego over power us and blamed khushi for the humiliation and started taunting and maltreating her more than before and also threatened to kick her out taking advantage of her fear of being alone and made her swear not to tell anyone..... We also out of anger made her stop her schooling and asked her to tell Shashi that she hated school and preferred to work at his sweet shop. Shashi was at first against it but Khushi was somehow able to convince him and he hesitantly accepted,  not only that we made her pretend to be an illiterate in front of other. " Garima confessed while crying realizing how evil they were towards Khushi who always endured their tortures. Payal wished the ground will just open up and swallow her up. The Raizadas were numb and didn't know how to react.

"Chote, how did you find out about all this." Nani asked finally finding her voice.

"I found out during the new year....... Akash wanted to meet Payal and in the course of helping him I left my phone in Khushi's room and went back for it. While looking for it...... I found a file hidden under Khushi's bed, took it out and read it and it was Khushi's certificate in designing. I was shocked because  she was also the best in her class. It confused me why Khushi will hid it and I felt the was more to it so I contacted my PI to gather everything about Khushi's life and what he found out shocked me. (Immediately Arnav said this Shyam was sweating) Garima hated Khushi because she was in love with Khushi's father but he chose Khushi's mother who happens to be Garima's adopted sister and to her hurting Khushi was equal to hurting her dead sister. That's why she helped her narrow minded bhabhi hurt Khushi and made her work like a slave 24/7 while their so called princess sat at home wasting the rights Khushi gave up to her."

The Raizadas was shocked that there could exist such selfish people not knowing they also indirectly did the same to Arnav.

Nani then walked closer to the Madhumati and slapped her and reprimanded her and did the same to Garima, Nani then moved to Arnav and apologized for not supporting him but Arnav said he can't forgive anyone now and needs sometime and Nani sadly agreed which didn't sit well with Anjali.

"Chote..... How could you refuse to forgive Nani when it's you who need our forgiveness for not taking our permission before marrying Khushi. "  Nani looked at Anjali in disbelief, while Arnav looked at her in disgust. "Am sorry I can't forgive you until you and Khushi beg for my forgiveness. " An idiotic Anjali exclaimed but what Arnav said next made Anjali feel like dying.

"I and Khushi will rather die than ask for you forgiveness....... You are nothing but a control freak who used a limp as an excuse to manipulate everyone since childhood, you always wanted to dominate me and everyone around and I allowed you do that till now but today you crossed your limits........ Just the way you claim I had to take your permission to marry did you also take my permission to marry."A shocked Anjali was numb as she never thought Arnav will disobey her left alone question her. " I traveled out of the country for six months for a business trip only to come back to a six months old damadji... And when I questioned you, you started the only thing you are good at, emotional blackmail.. I wanted to do a background check on him and you went on a hunger strike which lead to you fainting and again I had to back down.... You were supposed to leave after marriage and when I raised that topic you started your tantrums and accused me of wanting to get rid of you and again I was made the villain.....If I don't have the right to interfere in your life than don't interfere in mine and you all better listen... I don't need your permission to be with Khushi and I don't give a damn if you won't accept her because I accepting her is enough..... But be warned I will rain hell on anyone who dare hurt her..... " Arnav exclaimed making the Raizadas ashamed except Anjali who started hating Khushi.

"Saale that's not how to speak to your sister who has dedicated her life for you. " Shyam said trying to be in the good books of Anjali. But he has dug his grave with this. Arnav started laughing making everyone confused.

"Dedicated her life to me!...... Which part of her life...... Since childhood I was ignored by all just because she will throw her tantrums when anyone gave me attention....... After Maa died and we were kicked out, she didn't care if I ate or not.... She was rather living in her own world..... If Nani hadn't found us on time I would have died out of hunger..... She as the eldest was supposed to provide for the family but then she pushed that responsibility to me which I accepted without complaining.... The truth about Anjali is that she doesn't care for anyone but herself and am nothing but a money making machine to her.... Mrs Jha never dedicated her life to me....she dedicated her life to poojas and you Mr Shyam Manohar Jha....... And the sad part is you go behind her back cheating her..." Arnav said making everyone look at Shyam who began to  sweat.

"Enough Chote... You may have insulted me now but won't allow you accuse my husband. " Anjali yelled.

"Chote what do you mean? " Nani asked.

"Am telling the truth Nani... This man her is a liar and cheat...... And the Guptas and the people of Laxmi Nagar can verify it.... He is the man Khushi was engaged to..... And Khushi would have been his second wife if she hadn't discovered his truth...... Khushi then broke off the engagement and kicked him out.  These women were willing to marry her off to him when he was their so-called paying guest and he  happens to be none other than our two faced damadji here. ......Khushi tried to tell Anjali but she went crazy because her mangalustra tore and Khushi panicked and decided to keep quiet."The Raizadas were shocked at this revelation and that was when the Raizada women remembered that Khushi mentioned the name of her fiance which is Shyam. Shyam was sweating uncontrollably as he knew if he denied it he will be in deep waters. Am he didn't stop there today i was looking for Khushi to propose to her and that was when HP told me he saw her going to terrace so I followed on to see him cornering Khushi on the terrace proclaiming his love for her and even went as far as wanting to divorce Anjali but he was in for a surprised when Khushi slapped and  defended Anjali.... After their confrontation she ran to tell these women to reveal Shyam's truth but they taunted her and made her swear not to say anything. "

Anjali almost fainted but being the dump woman she was she slapped Arnav and said Arnav was making it up and kept on cursing Khushi but Shyam's next word made the ground slip under her.

"Saale is telling the truth but it's not what you think. " Shyam said paying time to formulate a perfect story.

"Do you think we are stupid to believe you over bhai. " An angry Akash yelled.

"Am telling the truth..... Yes I was a paying guest and I was engaged to Khushi but I had to do it....... I was working on a highly sensitive mafia case but they caught up to me and I  had to pass myself off as a bachelor to distract them to protect you people who treated me like a son instead of an in law.... I didn't want to marry Khushi... It was buaji who suggested it and since I didn't want to disappoint her for helping me, I agreed.... I tried to tell them but something always came up...... With time I became scared and thought that maybe if I scare Khushi she will go away and I knew the Guptas will never reveal it for the stability of Payal's marriage."Shyam said with all the innocence in the world. Anjali walked closer to Shyam and hugged him and he internally rejoiced because he has hit the bulls eye.

" You see chote my Shyamji is innocent. "

Anjali said making everyone look at her in disgust at how dump she was  enough to believe him but everyone knew she was a lost case and let it slide. Minutes of silence went by when NK's voice broke the reverie.

"So Nannav that's why you married Khushi."

"Yes NK......... I was scared to loose her... And I knew Khushi will never agree to a relationship with me because of Shyam...... And neither will she accept it if I left the family... That's why I force her to marry me....Or else I will stop Akash and Payal's marriage and she agreed. "

"What!." Everyone said in unison except for Shyam and Anjali.

"How could you do something like this..... You could have told me and we would have found another way around it. " Manohar said sternly.

"Your uncle is right chote....... You shouldn't have forced her, you could be arrested for it."That was when an idea popped into Anjali's evil mind as this idea will be like hitting two birds with one stone. One will be to make Arnav pay for insulting and also make Khushi sad as she knows Khushi loves Arnav. You know how she always viewed marriage and how desi she wanted her wedding to be but today you broke her dream and on top of it all she was taunted and insulted for no mistakes of hers.......if Khushi wakes up and doesnt want the marriage then I will support her." Nani exclaimed shocking Arnav.

"But Nani.... " Arnav sadly said but was cut off by NK.

"Nannav......Nani is right.... I will also support my best friend if she wants out of this marriage."Arnav was about to retort but NK stopped him let me finish...... Just because I said I will support her doesn't mean I won't support you...... You need to win Khushiji over the normal way not the ASR way...... Win Khushiji with her Arnavji not your ASRish self. "

"What the... " Arnav exclaimed in annoyance that Nk was giving him love advise but he knew he was right and agreed making everyone laugh with the exception of Anjali and Shyam.

Nani the asked everyone to go to bed as it was late, she also requested for the Guptas to stay and promised everything will be solved tomorrow. Everyone dispersed to their rooms.

In Payash room, Akash scolded a remorseful Payal for what she said and Payal apologized but Akash said he needed time.

In Manohar and Manorama's, Manohar warned and threatened Mami if she doesn't change her attitude towards Payal and Khushi, he will divorce her. Even though Mami agreed to change deep down she was plotting.

The Guptas also went to bed remorseful of their behavior but it will be too late for them.

Nk immediately went to sleep when he entered his room and as for our snake couples (Anjali and Shyam),  Shyam sat on his bed shocked at what Anjali just did and he knew this woman was more deadly than Arnav and decided to walk out of the relationship before its too late. In Arshi's room, Arnav took of Khushi's jewelry off to make her more comfortable and took a pillow and went to sleep on his recliner.

The following day, Arnav was the first to wake up but Khushi was still asleep or so thought Arnav. He went to the bathroom and brushed his teeth and then after he  walked into his closet and got dressed for his morning jogging. Arnav kissed Khushi before going out for his jogging.

Immediately he was out Khushi woke up and sat on the bed for some few minutes before getting up to go to the bathroom but stopped in her track when she heard a knock and from the silhouette of the shadow she knew it was NK. She opened the door and let NK in. NK then hugged her and broke the hug.

"How are you feeling now?" NK asked

"Horrible..... I never knew my life will be over this soon and it all because of your brother. " Khushi exclaimed in anger. NK chuckled making khushi more angry.

"Do you think what you brother did to me is funny..... He forced me to marry him for no apparent reason... "

" Khushiji he married you for a reason....... Point of correction... He married you for many reasons and love and fear tops that list. " NK said making khushi more confused and that was when NK told her all that happened yesterday. Khushi cursed herself for jumping to conclusions but rejoiced knowing that Arnav also felt the same way about her like she also felt for him and he even went against his di and both families for her. NK knew it was time to leave and he handed khushi a bag containing clothes and necessities Arnav ordered for her last night which was delivered this morning. NK then left leaving Khushi smiling, she then went to the bathroom, brushed her teeth, took a shower and dressed up.

Khushi looked into the mirror and she loved her saree but was sad that her was no Vermilion. But she shook and turned around to leave but stopped when she saw her phone on the drawer and wondered how it got, she later thought it was Arnav who had placed it there.

She checked the time and it was 8: 30 am in the morning and cursed herself for being late, she was at first nervous to go down but then what NK told her about how Arnav stood up for her boost her moral. She got down only to find the entire family at the dinning table.

Everyone was happy to see her except Manorama and Anjali which didn't go unnoticed by Khushi but she cared less for those ungrateful women. Even though she was surprised by Anjali's deeds she also knew her to be a manipulative woman. Khushi was now sick and tired of always being taken for granted and being selfless,  but no more because now she has the unconditional love of Arnav, her babuji and best friend NK which was enough for her. She no longer cared for others opinion any more.

Khushi was descending down when her dhak dhak started indicating Arnav was around and as if on cue a sweaty Arnav immediately stopped in his tracks seeing his wife. For a moment Arnav was scared that Khushi will leave him but what happened next shocked him. Khushi run over to Arnav and hugged
him almost making him fall backward and,

ignoring the fact that he was sweaty and dirty and also that she had just taken her bath. A shocked Arnav took sometime to digest what had happened and he looked around to see Nani, Mama,Payash and NK with smiles on their faces and teared up eyes, NK. Arnav then realized Khushi was hugging him and he immediately without any second thought reciprocated it with his eyes closed. Both broke the hug after God knows how many minutes.

"Why didn't you tell me the real truth? " Khushi said making Arnav confused, he looked at this family and the Gupta who were also confused with the exception of Nk who was sheeply smiling and Arnav immediately knew he had told Khushi the truth.

"Am so sorry Jaan..... I should have said the truth...... But forget it...... Do you forgive me? " Arnav asked with a puppy face and Khushi turned away from him, trying to walk away when Arnav held her hand and gently yanked her into his arms and hugged her. Khushi trashed in his arms trying to get out of it but couldn't and finally gave in and hugged him back.

Both  broke the hug when they heard NK clearing his throat intentionally.

"Both of you go up to your room and shower and come down for your breakfast. " Nani said with a smile on her face. Khushi was surprised as she thought Nani was angry but to her surprise Manohar and Nani said they have agreed to their marriage but they must have a proper marriage which Arnav surprisingly agreed to and  after their shower and breakfast it was agreed that they will marry in two weeks. The Guptas tried to apologize to Khushi but she refused to forgive them as they have hurt her beyond anything but they never gave up.

Two weeks later Arnav and Khushi were married in a lavish wedding with some of the biggest names in the business and entertainment industry in attendance. Every media house covered their marriage ceremony from beginning till end and were trending on social media with the hashtag #Arshi .Everyone was there with the exception of Mami, Shyam and Anjali who were forbade from attending by Nani, Manohar and Arnav after what they did.

The day after their first marriage Anjali had called the police on Arnav using Khushi's phone who came to arrest Arnav for forcefully marrying Khushi.

Everyone refuted the allegations but Shyam, Anjali and Mami insisted it was true. It took a lot of arguments and persuasion for the police to left Arnav go.

After they left Nani slapped Anjali for that stunt and almost kicked the trio out but was stopped by Khushi who knew Anjali will ruin the name of Arnav just to gain sympathy.

As punishment Arnav stopped providing financially for Mami, Shyam and Anjali. Even though Mami changed none beloved her and she knew she had no one to blame than herself. For Shyam he was stuck with Anjali which he considered it to be the worst punishment.

Anjali's not getting access to the money she had before, resented Arnav and Khushi for it and they both knew she will plot conspiracies against them but they were ready and prepared to face it together.

Khushi who had changed after the wedding was standing by the poolside looking to the sky, her dhak dhak started again indicating Arnav was around within a few seconds she felt a large muscular arms wrapped around her waist and she leaned into Arnav's chest.

"I hope you are not complaining about me to Papa, mama and maa? " Arnav asked playfully making Khushi chuckle.

"No Arnavji, I was thanking them for finally helping us become one....... You know if someone had told me after our first meeting that we would fall in love and marry..... I would have killed the person. " Khushi exclaimed.

" I would have done the same thing you know........ But then here we are together because from the beginning we were MEANT TO BE AND OUR UNION WAS WRITTEN IN THE STARS A LONG TIME AGO. " Arnav said and Khushi couldn't agree more.

Phew over 5000 word. I know it's not good enough but I hope it makes up for months of no update.
