Carmen POV-

"So, tell me the story of when you first met Mom," I tell my dad. I have heard this story more than I can count, but I still love it.

"It all started when my buddy, Grover, told me that I was a demi-god. I was only twelve-years-old by then. He came to your grandma's beach house because we were on a sort-of vacation. So, Grandma got us in the car and took to Camp Half-Blood, but the car crashed just before we got there. It crashed because a Minotaur hit it. Grover got knocked out and Mom was grabbed by the Minotaur," Dad says and took a breath.

"Then, he squeezed Mom and she disappeared in a golden light. After he did that, I got really mad and went after him. Then, I ran to the Minotaur and snapped one of his horns. He just disappeared in a pile of sand. Then, I dragged Grover over the Camp's magical border and I went unconscious. And I woke up a few days later and I saw your Mom standing over me. She said, 'You drool in your sleep.' And look where we are now," Dad says. "Little Carmen and Sebastian Jackson came along after a while."
       
"Hey, Dad, Mom needs you," says my twin brother, Sebastian. 

"What does she need?" Dad asks.

"Well, there is a spider. She wants you to bring Riptide," Sebastian explains.

"Hurry up Percy! It's coming closer!" Mom yells. 

"I'm coming Annabeth. Your doing fine." Dad soothes Mom as he got up and grabs Riptide, and walks upstairs. I follow Dad up the stairs and see Mom standing on a chair.

"Percy! Kill it, kill it now!" Mom yelps at Dad.

"OK," Dad says. Dad pokes the spider with Riptide, hard. 

"Pick it up and throw it away! O-or flush it down the toilet! That's better! Just get it away from me." Mom exclaims. 

Dad picks it up with toilet paper and put it in the toilet. Then, he flushes it down. 

"Thanks Percy, you're a lifesaver!" Mom says and hugs Dad tightly.

"Anything for you, Wise girl."

They stopped hugging and start walking downstairs, hand-in-hand. Sebastian struts to me. He is really weird like that. He is also afraid of spiders, but didn't want to admit it.

"Hey, sis," he says.

"Hey. So, do you wish we live in Camp Half-Blood, because we are Greek instead of Roman? I feel out of place here," I say to him. We live in Camp Jupiter, with the Grace's, the Valdez's, the Zhang's, and the di Angelo's.

"Woah, you just sprung that on me. Well, yeah, I would like to see Camp Half-Blood. Also, I would like to see where Mom and Dad met," he says.

I smirk. "Oh, I didn't know you were like that- a romantic kind of guy."

He blushes. "No, I am not like that!"

"Yes, you secretly are! I know it!" I tease.

"Carmen, Sebastian, you're friends are here! Emma, Hunter, Natasha, and Raphael want to go to lunch with you! Come down here, please!" Mom yells up the stairs. 

Sebastian and I walk down the stairs to see our friends standing at the door way. I didn't really know Raphael because he is so shy. I personally don't like him because I don't know him, but Sebastian is best friends with him and Hunter. I am friends with Emma and Natasha since I was little.

"So, what do you guys want to do?" Natasha asks.

"We could go to the park, have a picnic, and play with Mrs. O'Leary," Hunter suggests.

Sebastian and I immediately look at each other and shake our heads no. "That's a bad idea. Mrs. O'Leary is a hell-hound and she thinks you are the play toy," I say to Hunter.

"I am up for the challenge," he says, grinning like a manic.

"Fine, but last time I played with her, I became her chew toy," Sebastian says as Hunter shrugs. And we left. First, we had to go to the bus stop. Yes, they added buses.

There was a bus there, so we didn't have to wait long for a bus. Raphael and I got on last. The bus was filled to the brink. There was only one seat left, so I had to sit with Raphael.

Emma and Natasha got to sit with each other and Hunter and Sebastian got to sit with each other. Emma and Natasha flash me an apologetic smile. I glare back.

"OK, everybody. Buckle up. The first stop is the p-park," says a familiar voice.

"Is that Dakota?" I ask Raphael.

"I think so," he mutters.

"Holy Hades, we might crash with him driving," I say.

"Is he drunk on Kool-Aid?" he asks me.

"Probably-" I was cut off by the bus tilting. I screamed and Raphael grabs me and holds onto me. The bus tilts to the left. Unfortunately, we were sitting on the left side. Raphael is sitting near the window, so his head smashed into it. He wasn't knocked unconscious, though. I fell into his lap while the bus was sliding. I hit my head on seat in front of us. The bus was on its left side and it screeched to a stop.

"Is everyone alright?" Raphael asks. I nodded my head and people say yes. Then, I hear commotion outside.

"Percy, the bus is on its side! That was the bus the children got on!" Mom yells at Dad.

"I'll go get Reyna and you get Mrs. O'Leary, sweetie, OK?" he says.

"OK," she answers. Then, silence.

"Are you comfy?" Raphael whispers in my ear.

"NO! Why would you say that. Ugh, boys. Anyway, how is your head?" I ask him.

"My head is OK. I hope they come soon, though."

I hear barking. It sounds like Mrs. O'Leary, Argentum, and Aurum.  "Sounds like Reyna's here," I say to Raphael. Then, the bus started to tip back onto the wheels.

"How are they doing this?" I ask.

"Well they do have a hell-hound and they saved Olympus. I think they can handle it," he replies.

"OK," I say. The bus tipped back onto the wheels. The bus doors are yanked open.

"Is everyone alright?" Nico asks.

Most everyone says yes or nods their heads. "Dakota! What were you doing? You could have killed everyone!" Reyna yells at Dakota.

"I dunno," Dakota says as everyone got off the bus.

"You are fired," Frank says.

"B-but why?" Dakota asks Frank and Reyna.

"Why?! You could've killed my son. Oh, and you could have killed everyone else!" Reyna yells at him.

"I'm OK, Mom," Raphael says.

"Oh, Raphael, honey!" Reyna says and runs to check on Raphael.

"Mom! Dad! Were you spying on us?" I say to Mom and Dad as I walk over to them.

"Well, maybe. A bit," Mom says.

"Were you spying on all of us?" I ask all of them.

"Yeah, we were," Jason says.

"Why?" Hunter asks his dad.

"For no reason. Let's just go to the park. Wait, Raphael, is your head bleeding? Carmen! Is your nose bleeding?" Piper asks, as I feel my nose. There is blood all over my face.

Just then, Leo catches on fire and starts stares at Dakota. "Man, I don't have a joke this time," Leo says as he quickly extinguishes the flames. Everyone laughs at his playfulness as he hugs his daughter, while Calypso checks her out to see if she is OK.

"Um, hey, Percy, is that Blackjack?" Hazel asks Dad.

Hey boss. Hey little boss. Chiron needs all of you at Camp Half-Blood as soon as you can get there, Blackjack says.  I can understand what Blackjack says because I inherited that from Dad.       

Blackjack, can we pack some stuff to bring to Camp Half-Blood? I ask him.

Sure, little boss. But you need to get your nose cleaned up and that dude over there needs his head looked at, too, Blackjack says. I nod.

"Let's go get some ambrosia," Reyna says. We follow her to the Praetor place. She gives us one piece of ambrosia each. I eat it and it tastes like Grandma Sally's blue cookies. I distinctly remember a memory of eating some blue cookies at her house.

"Shall we go back to our houses to pack some clothes?" Hazel asks.

"Sure," Piper says. We go to our houses to pick out some clothes. It is dusk before we finished that.        

"Bob says hello," Dad says to the stars after we finished packing. Mom and him do that every night.

Pop!  I turn around and see a person with a glowing broomstick and... Hades. "Um, Hades? What are you doing here?" I ask him.

"Percy Jackson. Nice to see you again." Hades says to Dad, while ignoring me.

"Bob? Is that you?" Mom says, with tears in her eyes.

"Yes it is me, Bob," Bob says.

"I thought you were not going to reform," Dad says.

"I didn't either. Hades helped me," Bob says.

"I bring him out every month, to different locations. I just thought you wanted to see him," Hades says.

"Hades, have you got nicer since I last saw you?" Dad asks him.

"Maybe. OK, I did because I have a grandson. He means a lot to me," Hades says quietly.

"OK. Hey, Nico, come over here please," Dad yells to Nico, who was standing outside his house.

Nico comes over and stares at Hades. "Father, what are you doing here?" Nico asks him.

"I just wanted to bring Bob here. And maybe see you and your family," Hades says.

"Oh, really. You didn't want to do that when I was a young boy, but now you do?" Nico asks, looking a bit hurt.

"I'm so sorry. I wasn't a good guy back then. But you changed me," Hades says.

"Oh, just leave," Nico whispers.

"No. I am going to see Reyna and Raphael," Hades says.

"OK, but don't you dare hurt them," Nico says. "Reyna, Raphael! Come here."

"What is it, Dad?" Raphael asks Nico after him and Reyna come.

"Your grandfather wants to see you," Nico says.

Raphael, Reyna, Nico, and Hades talk. "Bob, where's Small Bob," Dad says.

"I don't know. I miss him though," Bob says lovingly.

"Dad has told me all about you. He and Mom really missed you. Sebastian and I are their children," I say to Bob.

"I really missed them, too," Bob says.

"Hey Percy, Annabeth, Father said that he could take us to Camp Half-Blood by shadow-traveling. He said he could take all the adults, but I am going to shadow-travel the children to Camp Half-Blood. That good?," Nico says.

"Yep," Dad says.

"Bob, I am going to send you back to my palace, OK? Say your goodbyes," Hades says.

"Bye, Percy and Annabeth. I will miss you!" Bob says.

"Bye Bob. We will miss you, too!"Mom says quietly. Pop! And Bob was gone. "We should leave now," Nico says. Then everybody else came.

"OK, first let me and Frank choose new Praetor's," Reyna says. Reyna and Frank walks off. Hey little boss. Do you want me to go back to Camp Half-Blood and tell Chiron that you guys are coming? Blackjack says. Sure. See you in a little bit, I say back. And Blackjack flies away.

Reyna and Frank come back. "We picked Bella and Cole to be Praetor," Frank says.

"Gather around adults. It's time to go," Hades says.

"OK, kids come on," Nico says. We walk to Nico. I grabbed onto Sebastian and Raphael because Emma took Sebastian's other hand and Natasha's hand. Natasha took Hunter's hand.

"OK, see you when you get there, Reyna," Nico says.

"OK," Reyna says. Then, I saw black. I also had a weird sensation in my stomach. I guess we were shadows traveling. Then we landed on a hill, next to a big pine tree. There was a dragon around it. Then I saw a half-horse, half-man.

"Hello. I'm Chiron for you who don't know me. Welcome to Camp Half-Blood," Chiron says and leads us in the barrier.
