Austria

The warm sun shining through the window was what woke you up. You blinked a few times, then realized what day it was.

April first.

You groaned, the curled up under the blankets, hiding yourself again.

It's just safer to stay inside today. Otherwise you will be the victim of some serious pranks.

Your phone rings on your bedside table. You groan again, and hide even deeper in your blankets.

After your phone stopped ringing, they called back a second time, and a third time, then a fourth time.

Once they called back the fifth time you looked at the caller ID, it was your friend Elizabeta Héderváry. The personification of Hungary.

"What is it Liz?" You ask still hiding in your bed.

"_____, are you here yet!?"

"What? What are you talking about?" You ask her.

"The plaza. Everyone got one of those letters, with their most embarrassing photo and letter telling them if they didn't get down to the plaza everyone would see that photo."

This got you worried so you jumped outta bed, and went downstairs to look for this letter.

But once you got downstairs there was a huge brown package.

"I got a package here." You tell her as you rip it open.

"Yup, same as the rest of us."

Inside you found a waiter apron, a shirt collar, a black suit tie, and some bandage wrap.

You scrunch up your face trying to make sense of it all.

"Liz, what's all this?"

"Just read the letter, it'll explain."

You pluck an envelope from the box and rip it open, and read the letter aloud to Elizabeta.

" 'Dear _____, we hope to see you at the plaza today for our little event. We have provided an outfit for you. Wear it and come down to the plaza, if you choose not to, the the photo we sent along will be shown to everyone. Hope to see you there!' "

"Alright, the photo can't be that bad." You say as you lift a photo from the envelope.

You make a choking sound that sounds like a mix between a shout and a gasp.

"Liz..." You angrily whisper to her. "How did they get this picture of me in that Lolita dress you put me in last week!?"

"What they got that!? Well, it could be worse, some of our pictures were half naked ones. I mean after all you did look super cute."

"But in this one I'm bending over a bit, and you can kinda see up my skirt." You tell her with a wince.

"Safe for me to guess that I'll be seeing you here soon?"

"Yeah." You reply rubbing your forehead.

You hang up the phone, and start getting dressed.

You soon realized the manage wrap went around your chest and the apron was to cover your lower half. And of course the tie and shirt collar was for around your neck, obviously.

As soon as you put on the skimpy garb, to headed to the plaza.

Once you got there you tried to be a stealthily as possible. Who knew who else could be here. Well, Liz did say everyone...

This day couldn't end well.

"_____!" Someone shouted from behind you.

You froze up before slowly turning to face...

"Damian! You scared me!"

"Sorry, I didn't do it on purpose." He said scratching the back of his head.

And of corse who else would be by the Bulgarian's side but the Romanian Vladimir.

"It's alright. Hey Vlad."

"Hey, _____."

"You guys wouldn't have happened to have seen Liz, have you?"

"No not yet. She called though." Damian said pulling out his phone from seemingly nowhere.

You shrugged. "Maybe we can find her by that huge tree near the center of the park."

"Sounds good to me." Vlad said sprinting ahead of you.

"Guys or we could just call her back." Bulgaria said following after the two of you.

---

As you continued down the path, Damian did end up calling Elizabeta, and she said she'd indeed meet you by the tree, instead of you going there and not finding her because you didn't call her.

And upon arriving there, she was already crouched behind it and peeking over the other side of the tree's trunk.

You, Vlad and Damian tiptoed up behind her. " what's going on!?" You harshly whispered to her.

"Look!" She whispered back, pointing towards quite a sight!

France had Austria's shirt wide open, and was fondling his nipples!

"Francis is molesting your man!" She said rising her frying pan, she almost always wielded.

This whole situation made your face turn a beet red. You and your friends huddled behind a thin tree half naked, watching your half naked, secret crush getting felt up by a practically hairy naked man.

"I mean this isn't half as bad as what he did to Lithuania, for showing up in his normal clothes." Vlad said casually.

This made you worry. What would have happened to you if you hadn't worn the outfit. Would you end up like Toris or Roderich!?

What were you to do now!? Charge in there and save the thin musician? Stay here and watch the show? Send in your friends to fight off France while you whisked Roderich away?

It looked like you didn't have to make up your mind. Down the path came America, China, England and Scotland. And honestly, they didn't look to happy. So hanging back and waiting looked like your best option at this point.

"France! We've been looking for you everywhere!"

"Oh? Little old me!? You shouldn't have?" The Frenchman replied.

"We know it was you who set this whole prank up!"

"Arthur, I'm hurt! Why would you think this was my doing!?" He says over dramatically.

At this point you feel a fifth person's presence with you behind the tree. You look and see Spain there crouching in his own waiter outfit. You shake your head and continue listening to the English, French conflict.

"We think it's you, because why else would you be undressing everyone who isn't in a ridiculous costume!?"

"Because that's what I do!" He says exasperatedly.

The allies standing with Arthur all give each other glances saying 'well he's not wrong'. While Scotland just nods in an almost approving sense.

This seemed to make the Brit stumble for some kind of other reasonable conclusion. Since France seemed to have a backwards unreasonable answer. "Well, I don't buy that load of garbage!"

"Don't I get some kind of say in all this!?" Austria whined. "Or could I just get out of here."

"Hush quiet!" France says looking annoyed at the brunet. "Why don't you find the real culprit instead of bothering me." He said staring back at the allies.

"But you are the real culprit!" Arthur shouted, wiping out his magic wand.

"Could I just-" Roderich started.

"Angleterre, please for once it's ok to to admit you've made a mistake. After all, I can forgive you."

"Do I get any say-?"

"Do you think I will just forgive you because you're bonking my brother!?"

Cue Scotland stomping on England's foot, making him scream like a child and dropping his wand.

"I think it's time we intervened, no?" Spain chuckled, grabbing your hand.

He walked into the open, with you trailing behind.

"¡Hola!" He greeted cheerfully.

"Spain not now dude." Alfred said trying to warn him of the impending doom of standing between France and England when they were angry with each other.

"Oh, it's no problem. I just wanted to clear up this misconception up." Toni smiled.

"Huh?" A bunch of the countries said in unison.

Spain whipped Austria from France's hands and into your arms making the both of you blush slightly. "I'm the one who sent those letters."

Another collective "What!?" Swept the globe.

"Yeah, I wanted something different this year. So I thought I'd be a cool idea to have everyone dress up in ridiculous outfits, and come down here for a photo shoot."

"Wh-Wh-what!?" England sputtered.

"Yeah, it's true. I'd also thought it'd be a great opportunity to get _____, and Roderich together."

"What!?" Roderich wailed.

That's when Hungary hoped out from behind the tree swinging her frying pan. "Toni! Remember... Secret!"

"Yeah that's why I was going to help them get together subtlety."

Vlad face-palmed, while Damian banged his head into the tree.

"Hell of a job you did doing that!" Elizabeta said sarcastically.

Antonio only shrugged in response.

All you were able to do at this point was stare dumbly at Roderich, while he stared dumbly back.

This must have gone longer then you thought because the next thing you knew, photographs were raining from the sky, and everyone was scrambling to grab theirs.

"You want to go out sometime!?" Roderich finally blurted out.

"Yes!"

"How about now!?"

"Yes! Sure! Of corse!" You answered, perhaps too quickly.

As the two of you walked out of the plaza hand and hand you didn't even pay attention to anything else.

---

Elizabeta held you and Roderich's pictures close to her so only her and the two Ottoman boys could see.

"Are you going to give those back?" Vladimir asked.

"Of corse not! These are going in my scrapbook!" She smiled to herself.

Thank you all for waiting for this one! I would also like to say sorry if it seemed a little rushed or forced. Austria isn't one my stronger character I can write for, but I fell like I did this one better then the first draft for this story, that I had to completely scrap! This was supposed to come out earlier this month. But my Wattpad app was acting funny. So I hope you enjoyed the May update. And look for the June update in the future.
