Kuroko X Reader
You were a person of great presence. You had what people would say a strong personality. Everywhere you went people would notice your presence and look at you, you didn't like it. You wanted to be normal. However, there was one person who you wanted to notice you, your classmate, Kuroko Tetsuya. He was the only person who would never look when you entered a room. Due to this, you walked around with an almost permanent slouch. Although you never really succeeded in getting Kuroko's attention, you managed to become fast friends with Kagami. You only wanted Kuroko to at least look at you.
It was an early morning on a Sunday when there was a knock on your door. When you opened the door Kagami Taiga stood at the door. You blinked.
"Oh, hi Kagami-kun, what are you doing here?" you asked. Kagami shuffled a bit, enable you to see the bluenette behind him reading a book.
"We were wondering if you would like to go to (your favourite food place) with us."
"I'd love to! I love that shop. I'll just go get dressed!" Kagami sighed out and nodded, heading back to Kuroko as you shut the swinging wood device (I don't know why I said that). The two chatted while you got changed into some comfortable clothes, the rustling of the fabric sounded calming, as weird as that sounds. You couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy towards Kagami, the guy you were crushing on was his best friend. You liked to think Kagami knew about it and was trying to get in a good word for you but, hey this isn't a fanfic, not everything is going to work out the way you want it to (hehe) you grabbed some money from the kitchen counter and picked up your keys from a small bowl next to the door. Checking you had everything, patting your pants down and the like, before heading out of the (colour) door that you recently painted. You did a good job.
You did a strange skip/jog type of thing to reach the two boys. You smiled at them.
"Yosh! Let's go." You said. The boys looked at each other.
They walked behind you as you swung your arms in an exaggerated fashion. Kuroko glanced at your head before looking back at his book, slightly pink. Did your hair always look so nice? Kuroko shook his head and continued to read. Kagami snickered. Kuroko paused before looking up at the taller then with an unreadable expression.
"What is so funny Kagami-kun?" He said in a monotonous voice. Kagami ducked down slightly to Kuroko's level and whispered "you have a crush~" Kuroko almost scoffed at Kagami's childishness.
"No I don't Kagami-kun. You're just being a child." Said Kuroko promptly before returning to his book, the slightest, almost unnoticeable signs of irritation on his face. You know, eyebrows slightly slanted downwards, eyes a bit sharper and a ever so slightly disgusted turn of the mouth. He wasn't disgusted at the thought of having a crush on you, no, it was the thought that someone like Kagami was able to tell. Kagami went back to his original height and scowled a little.
"You're the one being a child. You're denying it, that's childish!" Kuroko just continued to read, ignoring Kagami completely.
"Hey, Kagami, Kuroko we're heeeeereeee~!" You chirped dashing into the shop. Kuroko sighed, opening the door allowing Kagami to go in first. Kuroko found the two of you in a booth next to a group of rambunctious boys throwing chips and things at each other. The staff looked quite annoyed. Kagami looked at the boys and sent them a glare. They stopped throwing chips and took notice of the staff. They waved at the staff and continued to eat their meals. You stood and grabbed Kuroko's hand, dragging him to the table whining about wanting to order. The boys noticed you and started to whisper to amongst themselves. You sat Kuroko across from you and put your arm in the air, signalling that you were ready to be served. A waiter approached and smiled at you all.
"Welcome! What can I do for you today?" He asks politely. You smiled back and ordered your usual. The boys ordered and you were left to yourselves again. Well, not for long. One of the boys from the table over, strutted to where you were sat and leant on the table. Kuroko's pupils shifted from his book sharply, his eyes analysing every move the boy made.
"Hey, I was wondering if you would like to join us on our table, we actually have conversation on there." The group all cheered.
Um, n-" Kuroko slammed his book on the table, hard enough for the seat to rattle as well.
"She's fine here." He looked at the boy seemingly emotionless but the atmosphere felt dark enough to send shivers down everyone's spines. You looked at Kuroko, eyebrows raised slightly. The boy looked at him in an unhappy way but left none the less. Kuroko opened his book and looked at it like nothing had ever happened. The atmosphere lightened up a bit. Still dark enough for everyone to remain silent.
"Are you okay Kuroko?"
"I'm fine (y/n)-chan. Thank you for asking." He called you by your first name. Whoa. You didn't know you were that close. The atmosphere cleared from the simple question.
"A-ah OK then Kuroko-kun..." Kuroko didn't look up but blushed a little. It was very small and light. Practically impossible to notice from a distance but, on his pale skin, it stood out like a sore thumb from the distance between you. You smiled and leant over the table giving Kuroko a kiss on the cheek. Both boys looked shocked, Kagami going as far as to shout "whaaaaaaaa!?" Kuroko just froze in shock, looking at everything and nothing at the same time. He held the cheek in his palm and looked up at you daze broken. You sat there, looking at everything but him a blush so dark that you could see it on your ears. Kuroko smiled the slightest and looked back down at his book.
"I love you (y/n)-chan." You were shocked.
"I-I love you t-too... Tetsuya-kun..." You both smiled, your food arriving barely a second later.
