Kari's POV:

Once the wooden doors are open I sense all eyes on me. I look up and see everyone staring in my direction. Bryce is on the stage and he waves for me to join him. I give him a shy smile and slowly walk forward with Evie still by my side.

Uh, I don't know if I can do this anymore, they literally won't stop looking at me. Okay Kari, if you're going to be Luna someday you're going to need to get used to this. I take a deep breath. Alright now I need to make a good first impression.

I flash my brightest smile and look around at the people in the pack. Everyone is so different. The ages of the people range anywhere from infants to the elderly. Although there is a great amount of people here, I did notice that sitting in the front row is Mimi and Macy, and what I'm assuming are their families. When they lock eyes with me I give them a look that says 'surprise'. Neither of them have any idea that Bryce is now the Alpha or that I'm going to be the Luna. Actually nobody in the pack knows. Well I'm sure they all felt the power shift from Trent to someone else but they don't know who the new Alpha is yet.

When I make it onto the stage I stand next to Bryce and wait for him to begin talking to the pack. "I thank everyone for dropping what they were doing to come to this important meeting. As you all know, Trent is no longer the Yellow Moon pack's Alpha. He did something awful and I took a stand against him. You all previously knew me as Beta, but from this point forth, I'm the new Alpha. Now I don't want any hard feelings so I wanted to bring you all here to see if anyone opposes to me being the New Alpha. If so please speak now." Bryce stops his speech and we search the whole crowd looking to see if anyone opposes his new position. Nothing, no one moves to raise their hand or speak.

Suddenly everyone in the room in front of us stands from their chairs. The next thing they do shocks me. All the members of the pack place their hand on their hearts, get down on one knee, and look down. I stare at them in amazement. This must be their way of showing their acceptance of Bryce as the new leader. I grab Bryce's hand and squeeze it real fast. He look at me and smiles. Pride and joy run through my body. The pack accepts Bryce as leader, it makes me so happy.

"Thank you all, you may be seated again." Bryce says after a few moments. I release his hand and wait for everyone to sit down and for him to continue. "Now some of you may have gotten the idea that Trent found his mate when he was Alpha. This was actually false, Kari here is really my mate. Trent wouldn't allow me to be with her, and he used a bracelet charm to trick Kari into thinking they were mates." Ah so it was a spell in the bracelet. I knew Trent being able to trick me had to do with the bracelet but I wasn't sure exactly what it was that was able to fool me. "I want to keep this meeting short, so allow me to present the new Beta of the pack," everyone gets really quiet and waits for Bryce's announce who the Beta will be. In all honesty I have no idea who he will pick. It's not like he was really close to any of the guys that I know about besides Trent.

"Macy Stewart."

Everyone's eyes lock onto Macy in the front row. She just sits there for a moment in shock and looks up at Bryce. He looks back at her knowingly, she nods and stands up and walks to the stage. She stands next to Bryce on the other side of him. Everyone from the pack claps as soon as she stops walking, I hear Jamie, Harry and Pauly screaming loudly which makes me laugh to myself. "That will conclude tonight's meeting if anyone has any concerns or comments then please feel free to come talk to me whenever you want." Bryce steps away from the podium and turns to me, "See, it wasn't that bad." He says.

I shrug my shoulders and look at Macy and smile brightly. "Congratulations Macy! It's really exciting that you're Beta. I guess that means we will be seeing a lot of eachother, you know me being soon-to-be Luna and all." I say. She gives me a half smile.

"I'm really happy right now and my wolf is full of pride but I'm not sure if I'm cut out to help you guys out with all the important stuff..." She says trailing off into her thoughts.

Bryce cuts in and says, "Macy don't doubt yourself. You have great potential. You're a straight A student, you're great with people, and you're one of out strongest fighters. It's people like you that should be Beta, but it also helps that you've been almost a sister to me my whole life." He laughs. She smiles and joins in too. I look at them curiously and frown. My wolf doesn't like how close they are. I take a deep breath. Okay this is something I need to get used to, he is Alpha now, everyone is going to want his attention.

I feel a tug on my shirt and I glance down at Evie. She yawns and says, "Kari can I have some warm milk." I nod and pick her up. She sometimes asks for milk when she's exhausted and wants to go to sleep. I turn to the new pack leaders.

"I'm going to get Evie some warm milk and let her go to sleep while you guys go do your new leader stuff." I say to them. They smile warmly at me and I take the sleepy Evie into the kitchen. I place Evie onto a stool and grab the milk from the fridge. I warm it up by the stove and place it in a mug with a lid that has an opening to drink out of. "Here you go Evie." I hand her the drink and she sleepily takes it out of my hands and begins to sip it.

When she's done she hands me the bottle without saying a word. I carry her up to her room and get her in her pajamas and in bed. By the time I'm done she's sound asleep. I smile at her angelic face and leave her room. That's when I noticed that I have no idea what time it is. I go to Bryce's room and check the clock, it says 7:40. Wow Evie got tired really early today, that's surprising. I decide that as I wait for Bryce I should probably unpack. I walk over to my single suitcase and take out everything and place them in their proper spots around the room. I try not to move too much of Bryce's things. Lucky for me, he doesn't have a lot of stuff so there is lots of room for my things.

When I'm done I get out of my dress and take off my bra. I slip on one of Bryce's T-shirts which reaches mid thigh on me and hop into bed. I guess I might as well get an early sleep too. I have school in the morning and I have to go considering I haven't been in so long... I sigh, honestly I hate school. It's such a pain in the buns. I close my eyes and drift off into a peaceful sleep.

Bryce's POV:

"I'm going to get Evie some warm milk and let her sleep while you guys go do your new leader stuff" Kari says to Macy and I as she gets ready to leave with a sleepy Evie. I smile warmly at her along with Macy and she heads off toward the kitchen. I watch my beautiful mate as she leaves the room, damn she's got one cute butt, oh the things I would do to her...

"-picked me." Macy says to me and looks down. Oh shit I missed what she said. I rub the back of my neck.

"Sorry what was that?" I ask her apologetically. She giggles and looks at me with a small smile.

"I said that I'm really surprised that you picked me. I'm really glad though, don't get me wrong! I'm going to work my hardest for you and the pack." She says quickly. I smile. The reason I picked her is because she's modest, intelligent, and a good fighter. I know that when a fight comes to our territory she will be one of the first wolves on the battle field. That's what this pack needs in a Beta.

I also know that Kari is going to become a great Luna as well. She is beautiful, strong willed, and extremely caring of everyone. She even has that special power to help people heal. Maybe I should get her and the pack doctor to talk, I don't really know what effects her healing powers have on her.

Damn I zoned out! I answer her "I know you will work hard Macy, I've known you since I was practically out of the womb so I know what you're capable of." I laugh and she joins in.

"True. I guess you do know me better than most our friends... So what kind of stuff do we have to do? Train all the little kids?" She asks me curiously, I laugh under my breath.

"Thats not all we have to do. Come on." I wave to her to follow me. "Let's go to the office and organize the mess of papers and-" I'm cut of by a depressed looking Macy.

"Woah, woah, woah, who said anything about papers? You have to do paper work as Beta?" She asks quickly and worriedly. I look at her with confusion.

"Of course you do paperwork. Why wouldn't you?" She sighs and looks down. "Don't worry though, I have more paper work to do than you." She thinks for a moment then lets out another sigh.

"Well I mean it can't be that bad right?" She asks as we reach the office. I smirk and open the door.

On the desk lies three huge stacks of papers and on the floor are two more bigger stacks. I turn to look at a flabbergasted Macy. She composes her self after the initial shocks and says calmly, "well, it's nothing we can't handle right Bryce?" She asks me. I raise an eyebrow at her.

"We? No see this is just your work. My work is already in my room." I say to her. Her face suddenly pales as she glances at the huge stacks of papers. After a few moment of this I burst out laughing and she looks at me with a sour face. "I'm totally kidding Macy, we split this work between us but you should have seen your face!" I continue my laughing fit. Macy just stares at me with a mean glare.

"You do realize it is going to take us all year to get through these papers right." She says sternly. After calming my self down I sigh.

"Yeah I know..." I get behind the desk and start working while Macy picks up the piles and organizes them.

After about two hours we barley get through the papers so we give up for the night. I mean come on we have all year to finish it! Plus the only thing I want to do is be with my mate.

I get into my room and see all the lights off. At first I thought Kari might be somewhere else but her scent tells me other wise. I smile as I take in her delicious vanilla and coconut smell. She must be asleep, so I close the door quietly and take off my shirt and pants. What? I sleep in my boxers, judge me.

I crawl into the bed and slip my arm over her. In her sleep she cuddles in closer to my arm. My wolf purrs from her sudden closeness and urges me to lean forward and mark her. I wish, but I know it's way too early for me to do that. Especially after everything Kari went through with my brother, I'm just not sure if she completely trusts me. Sure earlier today things got pretty hot between us, but I feel like her wolf might be making her get close to me. I sigh, there really is nothing more I want than to take this beautiful girl right now. She seriously has me wrapped around her little finger. Not only would I do anything for her, but here I am lying in a bed with her while shes sleeping and all I want to do is just take her. God what is wrong with me? Alright I just need to breath in through my mouth so I don't take in her mouth watering scent.

I do this for about five minutes but it doesn't help me sleep. So I finally take in a breath from my nose ad the only thing that hits me is Kari's smell. Alright maybe I can just kiss her a little, that's not weird right? I bend down and kiss the spot on the crook of her neck where I will be marking her in the future. Once I get a taste of her skin I just don't want to stop, I slowly and lightly travel up her neck with my kisses, just as I reach her jaw I hear a soft moan. I smile and continue to kiss her. I hear a soft grumble then the sweet melody of Kari's voice, "well hello to you too." She says in a tired voice.

I move my kisses up the her mouth, but before I kiss her mouth I stop, "Hello Beautiful." I connect my lips to her sweet voluptuous ones. It takes her a second to get out of her groggy state but she soon kisses me back and manages to keep up with me. I lightly stop our kiss and look at her with guilty eyes, "I'm sorry about waking you, I just wanted to kiss you." She smiles up at me.

"You don't ever have to apologize for wanting to kiss me." She turns her smile into a smirk and lifts her head up to meet her lips to mine. The intensity of the kiss rises as soon as our lips touch. Kari moves her hands so they are on my shoulders, then she pushes me down onto the bed with force and straddles me. Damn not only did she surprise me, but that's extremely hot. She trails her hands down my shoulders and over my abs. I moan into her kiss as she traces them. I never in a million years could imagine a feeling better than this. Kari lightly skims over the area right above where my boxers are and I feel myself harden. Shit, what if that makes her nervous, maybe she's thinking that I'm going to pressure her into doing stuff.

Before I begin to freak out too much I feel Kari smirk and she gently slides herself back and forth on my hardened area. What happened to my innocent Kari? The friction between our flimsy clothes feels so good. She groans and my wolf comes to life. He's yelling for me to take her right now, but there something holding me back. I feel like she isn't ready for it, and I don't want to pressure her. Just then she rubs harder on me and my wolf fights to take over. I stop her from moving and break the kiss. She looks at me with an embarrassed face. "I did something wrong didn't I?" She asks me gently.

I look at her confused, "Did something wrong? Hell no, Kari I made you stop because it felt too good. If we kept going my wolf would have taken over and claimed you whether you wanted it or not, and I'm not okay with him doing that for your first time with me." She looks at me.

"Really?" She whispers. "So I didn't mess anything up? I'm really new at this kind of stuff and well I don't really know what to do..." She trails off. Ah so she really is innocent. My wolf howls in delight at the fact that he will be the only one to ever have our mate.

"I'm glad you don't know what to do." I say and smile at her she gives me a curious face and I give her a kiss on her cute button nose. "That's what I'm here for." She grins and hops under the covers of the bed and snuggles up to me. I embrace her in my arms.

"Train me well then Teacher." She says in a cute sleepy voice. She yawns and buries her head deeper into my chest if that is even possible. I close my eyes and fall asleep with the perfect angel laying close in my arms.
