Strange People

A week has passed by since the incident. I didn't dare to tell anyone. I covered up the large bite wound, which had refused to leave with scarfs and my shaky attempts at makeup. I was going to work, and people stared at me.

Shit, the bite marks were showing. I sighed and put on a small scarf I carried around and the stares continued. A small girl was excited, and tried to run up to me. Her mother kept her back, shushing her. I hurried to the center and did my job.

Only a few stares, whispers. I heard the word 'Luna' and tensed up, looking at them. They catch my gaze and run off before I manage to get to them. I sighed and went to my office, trying to do paperwork.

Today was an easy day. No animals came in and only recovery animals were needed for help. I decided I wanted to go into the woods.

After work, I didn't go straight home. I walked into the forest, and sat down once I got to a clearing. It was nice. Peaceful even. As if the incident from a week ago never happened. I smiled softly and leaned on a tree stump. The animals were being active. Some wolves were yapping and running around farther away.

I hoped they wouldn't notice me and they didn't. A familiar amber wolf ran to them, barking and running at them. They listened as if they completely understood each other and I grabbed out a notebook.

If I was going to go with the Luna thing, I was going to learn on how they acted. They seemed to submit at the larger wolves. The pups weren't all the young, and sometimes some wolves would walk around as if they were looking for danger.

Those other wolves

I shuddered. I would hate to think there were more of them. I got up, tired and satisfied with my work and walked off. I didn't notice the twig I snapped.

Blade~
I heard the twig snap and turned my head, seeing a figure walk away. I growled and stalked the figure and sniffed. It was Alisa.

My wolf relaxed, finally finding her. He was anxious. We both watched as members of the pack were looking and watching her. I allowed them in the town to watch over her, and to make sure no more rogues came in to harm her.

"She should be with us! At the pack house to stay safe! Mate shouldn't be alone with those unmated wolves! They'll take off our claim." My wolf said.

I growled. If a female mate didn't want her mate, she would find another male that could take it off, but not replace it. It's a part of the rejection process. Males, however, can not do it unless the female had full accepted them and even then, it's nearly impossible to do it without losing the wolf.

She went home, a tired look on her face and the pack members shifted, walking around the edge of the premise.

This would be the end of me. Warrior wolves patroled the area while only the strong pack members protected the Luna. My wolf was insane, wanting her by our side.

I went back to the pack house and checked over everything. Patrols were decent. Only a few rogues that were killed. I went to bed stressed.

Alisa
I woke up and went to the stores, in a better mood. I felt better than I had in months. I looked around as I got some things. I rubbed my necklace, thinking of things to get before I was bumped into by a little boy.

"Sorry Luna!" He said.

"Oh...it's okay. Can you tell me why you call me Luna?" I said, leaning down.

"You're the Alpha's mate! Which means you're our Luna!" He said, giving me a toothy grin. I smiled softly and giggled.

"What's his name sweety?" I said, smiling. Kids like him were adorable.

"Blade!" He said. I blinked.

"Okay. Where's your mother?" I said. He grabbed my hand.

"At the pack house." He said, dragging me to the forest. I tensed up, worried it there were more wolves. "Don't worry, it's safe." The boy, who I learned his name was Daniel from his talking, said.

We got into a large clearing where building and people where. I never knew there was a small town, and looked around and people stopped and stared. I was holding onto the little boys hand as he dragged me to a big building, which I presumed was this 'pack house.'

"Daniel!" A woman's voice shouted and the boy beamed at his mother.

"Momma! I met the Luna! She's nice and pretty!" He said as he hugged my leg. I blushed and smiled and a boom came from the door way.

"WHO ALLOWED HER HERE?!" A loud voice called out and Daniel whimpered, going behind me.

I put a hand on him as I shuddered and people bowed quickly.

"N-no one sir." Daniel said shyly. "I-I thought y-you allowed h-her here..." He said, crying.

I frowned and shot a glare at the towering man, picking up the boy and wiping his tears away.

"Listen, I'm sorry if I intruded in anyways that I did, but he was just trying to help, saying that people wanted to see me." I said, trying to cover for the kid. It worked.

The man sighed and rubbed his face.

"Leave." He said. I felt a cold rejection from me and I instantly felt sad. From what, I don't know but I covered it up and put Daniel down.

"You can visit me anytime." I said, smiling before I turned and went the way I came, people watching me.

I rubbed my arms and gasped as a strong throb came from my neck and I held it, before I continued.

What is wrong with them? And why are they in the woods?
