Alone On Valentine's Day
What's up, fellow Fanders? For this one shot, I use a lot of the dialogue from the video, however, some of the dialogue is changed slightly, or I change who says it. I also add several lines of my own, but for the most part, I follow the video. And because I made an effort to try to follow the video somewhat closely, this one shot might not be as fluffy as it could be, but I hope you enjoy it anyways!

"Let's put our heads together and create a game plan. But first, we'll need someone to practice on." Morality said.
"But who?" Logic asked.
"Each other." Morality said. He'd have thought it obvious.
"You want to practice flirting... With each other?" Thomas asked.
"I mean, it does make logical sense that we would use each other, since we're the only ones here." Logic said.
"Alright." Thomas shrugged.
"Ah, I can't wait. I love Valentine's Day. A day of romance, a day of love and romantic gestures!" Prince sighed dramatically.
"Logic!" Morality called out right off the bat.
"Yes?" Logic said, confused.
"You'll be my partner! We'll practice on each other!" Morality said with excitement.
"Er.... Okay." Logic said.
"And that just leaves... Prince with... Anxiety." Thomas said, slowly trailing off as he realized what he was saying.
They're not going to be happy about that.
"Excuse me, what?" Prince said. He glared at the emo sulking in his corner on the stairs. "I refuse to work with him."
"Gee, thanks, Prince." Anxiety replied sarcastically. "But as it turns out, you got lucky. I refuse to do this at all. I just don't see the point."
"But wait," Prince said. "It's Valentine's Day! Possibly my favorite holiday of all time! I can't just do nothing."
"Too bad." Anxiety said.
"Anxiety, c'mon." Morality said.
"No. He doesn't even want to do it with me anyways, he said so himself!" Anxiety said.
"You're right." Prince said. "I'd never flirt with you, even if it was just practice."
(Author's note:
[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]
Okay, that's all, continue with the one shot.)
"Oh, come on. It's just practice, can't you guys participate just for the sake of the video?" Thomas asked.
"I do want to participate..." Prince sighed. "Alright, I guess I have to."
"Glad to know I'm your last resort." Anxiety sighed.
Morality went over to where Logic was standing beside the stairs. Prince walked over to where Anxiety was standing on the stairs.
"Flirting is simple really, when you go about it the right way. All you need is the right tactic." Logic said. He turned to Morality. "Morality. We are human. You would agree with that statement, correct?"
"Yes." Morality nodded.
"And as humans, one possible objective is to procreate." Logic said.
"I like creating things!" Morality said. "Like Thomas's videos!"
Logic groaned. "Can I have a new partner?"
"I will gladly switch with you, nerd." Prince said.
"We're switching?" Morality asked.
Anxiety shrugged. "Whatever. This whole thing is stupid."
Prince and Logic switched places.
Logic tried the same tact again, this time with Anxiety.
"We are human." Logic said.
"Actually, we're aspects of a personality." Anxiety said.
"Whatever. One possible objective is to procreate." Logic said.
"There's so many things I could say to that, but you're not gonna like any of them." Anxiety said.
"I'm ignoring that." Logic said. "One possible objective is to procreate, so therefore, would you like to copulate with me?"
Anxiety raised an eyebrow at Logic. "Did you just..."
"This doesn't feel right!" Morality whined. "I wanna switch back. I called Logic first!"
"Prince, let's switch back." Logic said.
Prince sighed, but obliged.
Logic tried a different tact with Morality.
"Do you like food?" Logic asked Morality.
"I love food." Morality grinned. "Ooh, what about pizza? I love pizza."
"Do you like romantic outings?" Logic asked.
"Yes!! They're so cute, I love couples in love!" Morality grinned.
"I can provide both of those things. Therefore you will be my date." Logic said.
"Gladly!" Morality said.
"Just making sure... You... do realize this is just pretend, right?" Prince asked Morality.
Morality nodded. "Yeah. Why?"
"You know, Prince, you're one to talk. You're taking this awfully seriously." Anxiety said.
"How could I not? It's Valentine's Day! I—" Prince was cut off.
"You love Valentine's Day. Yes, I know. You've said it, what, two, three times this video?" Anxiety sighed.
"How about we just move on?" Thomas intervened. "Logic, it was a good effort, but it was a bit... lacking. I'm not sure it would work in the real world."
"You had no tact whatsoever." Prince said.
"It was like watching a Sims game, only one of the Sims was extremely cheery." Anxiety said.
"That's ridiculous." Logic said.
"Am I the cheery one? I am, aren't I?" Morality asked.
"Well, it certainly ain't Logic." Prince muttered.
"Okay, okay, okay." Thomas said. "We're moving on. Prince, what've you got?"
"You have to woo your date with gusto. Poetry works great." Prince turned to Anxiety. "Allow me to recite Shakespeare's sonnet 138. When my love swears to me that she is made of truth, I do believe her though I know she lies, that she might think me some untutored youth..."
"Gonna stop you right there." Logic said. "That sonnet is about an older man and an unfaithful girl lying to preserve their marriage."
"Oh." Prince said, taken aback.
"Yeah, so..." Logic said. "Might I recommend Shakespeare's Sonnet 18? Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?"
"Well, I wouldn't recommend reading someone else's words!" Morality said. "You have to say what's in your heart!"
"Oh, come on. If you did that, you could get tongue-tied. Jumbled. Confused." Anxiety said, letting the anxiety sink in with each word.
"That's why you write it all down first!" Morality said. He pulled out a piece of paper and turned to Logic. He began to read it out loud. "Dear Logic, happy Valentine's Day. Uh, I'm not really sure what to say, but uh... I think it's best to speak from the heart, so that's what I plan on doing. The only problem is... Hearts don't have mouths. Huh. That was a little weird to say."
"He... wrote this down?" Prince muttered.
"That's the whole problem you were trying to circumnavigate." Logic said.
"I wanted it to be realistic when I wrote it down." Morality shrugged.
"Alright, I think it's safe to call that a failed experiment." Thomas said.
"Alright then, no words." Morality said.
Morality wrapped his arms around Logic in a big bear hug. Logic stiffened at first, but slowly started to relax.
"No." Anxiety said.
"What if that were a stranger?" Thomas asked.
"You can't just touch people." Anxiety said.
"Then you create a gift to give them!" Morality said. A crayon drawing of him and Logic popped into his hands. He gave it to Logic.
"But that could just be taken as a gift from a friend..." Prince said.
"Or worse." Anxiety said.
"How about we just move on?" Thomas suggested.
"Alright, alright, alright. There's a way to make them feel special, AND show them how awesome you are." Prince said.
"How?" Thomas asked.
"You find out what might be making their life difficult..." Prince said dramatically. "And you kill it."
Prince turned to Anxiety.
"You there, young Anxiety—"
"Just because I developed later than the rest of you doesn't mean I'm younger!" Anxiety said in defense. "I'm still identical to Thomas, and he's 28!"
"Okay, no need to get so defensive there." Prince said. "Geez."
Anxiety sighed. "Just continue."
"What might be a burden in your life? An evil stepmother? Or maybe a dragon witch?" Prince said.
"Seeing as how I'm a personality trait, it's impossible for me to have a stepmother. Or any mother, for that matter, seeing as how I wasn't born. I developed." Anxiety said.
"Just answer the question, Gloomy Pants." Prince sighed.
"Ugh. Fine. Uh... I... don't know what's troubling my life." Anxiety lied.
"It's a bit hard to do my job if you don't cooperate." Prince said.
"You know what, whatever. You don't want to do this anyways, just pretend there's some dragon witch for you to kill." Anxiety sighed.
"Okay, I will." Prince said.
A dragon witch appeared thanks to Mind Palace, and Prince proceeded to fight it with his samurai sword, while Anxiety sulked in his corner.
"In no reality would this be a situation." Logic said.
Thomas agreed, but let Prince have his fun with it.
Prince returned, a bit worn out.
"Oh, wow, look! The day is saved thanks to this guy right here! All my problems are solved and oh my god, I think I'm in love!" Anxiety said sarcastically.
"I'm going to ignore that." Prince said. "Next, after you kill the dragon witch, you do a grand gesture!"
"That wasn't a grand gesture?" Thomas asked.
"You wed them!" Prince said. He got down on one knee. "Anxiety, will you marry me?"
"I guess I have to say yes, for the sake of this dumb video." Anxiety sighed.
"I'm going to take that as a yes." Prince said. Then he started talking in Spanish for effect. "Te juro que te amo con todo mi corazón,"
"I want a divorce." Anxiety announced.
"Anxiety, we're not married." Prince said.
"Good." Anxiety said. "Weddings are nothing but outdated, expensive pageantry anyways."
"What?!" Prince said.
"Plus the diamond industry is incredibly unethical." Anxiety added.
"What?!" Morality said.
"Sure," Logic agreed. "Have you heard of blood diamonds?"
"Stop, don't." Thomas stopped them. You're upsetting him."
Morality was in his corner pouting.
"So we are at a loss for what to do?" Prince said.
"There's gotta be something we didn't think about." Logic said.
"I am feeling all types of bad." Morality said.
Anxiety sighed. "This whole thing is pointless."
"Yes, we already know your point of view." Thomas said.
"Look, all I'm saying is, this is just a waste of time. Psyching yourself out over cheap tactics that have never been useful to you before, I mean, seriously, Thomas! In any past relationship you've ever been in, haven't they always developed when you least expected them to?" Anxiety said.
"Huh. You actually... have a point." Thomas said.
"You were never actively searching for someone." Logic said.
"You met someone, got to know them casually, and the feelings started there." Morality said.
"The romance came about naturally." Prince said.
"I wasn't... trying to... help." Anxiety said.
"No, this is great! It really helps put things into perspective. I shouldn't be trying to force things to happen just for some day." Thomas said. "That's really the best thing to keep in mind. And if I happen to meet someone, I don't really have anything to loose. I'll be upfront and honest, I'll speak from the heart and make them feel heard, and when the time is right, I'll work in some grand... realistic romantic gestures."
"Yeah, okay." Prince said.
"And even if it doesn't work out, isn't Valentine's Day about much more than just romantic love?" Thomas said.
"Well, there's love for your family." Morality said.
"Love for your work," Logic offered.
"Low-stakes platonic love, where people don't expect as much from you." Anxiety said.
"And self love!" Prince declared.
"And if that's what we need to be focusing on for Valentine's Day... For self love, I suggest that you guys, the aspects of my personality, all say 'I love you' to each other." Thomas said.
"I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!" Morality jumped in right off the bat.
"I.... love... you." Logic struggled.
"YOU MAKE MY LIFE COMPLETE." Morality continued.
"I... love... you...." Logic repeated.
"IF I COULD GIVE YOU ALL BUTTERFLY KISSES... DO YOU KNOW WHAT THOSE ARE? WITH THE EYELASHES?" Morality said.
"Your existence is... inconsequential. I mean... unimportant. I mean... good." Logic said.
"What can I say? You're all so handsome." Prince said.
"That does make sense." Logic said.
"Just not as handsome as me." Prince said.
"That does not make sense." Logic said.
"Well, you two wear glasses. Like, nerds!" Prince said.
Anxiety snickered.
"What're you laughing at, Hot Topic?" Prince said.
"Aww, you think I'm hot." Anxiety smirked.
"Princey, tell us you love us. Now." Morality said in his fatherly fashion.
Prince sighed. "I love you."
Everyone looked at Anxiety.
"I don't know how you expect me to say it. You all took turns... Now you're looking at me..." Anxiety sighed. "Can it just be, like, an understood thing?"
Morality gasped. "YOU'RE IMPLYING THAT YOU LOVE US!"
"No..." Anxiety muttered.
"His face is so red underneath that white foundation." Prince smirked.
"I hate everything about this." Anxiety said.
Anxiety started to sink down.
"Wait!" Morality said.
Anxiety popped back up.
"We never got to hear your flirting method!" Morality said.
"Well, whatever it is, I highly doubt it's better than mine." Prince said.
"Oh, please. I could outdo yours in a heartbeat." Anxiety said.
"Oh really? I'd like to see you try." Prince taunted.
"First you take them by the hand..." Anxiety said, lacing his fingers into Prince's.
Anxiety blushed.
"Uh, you know what... Nevermind. You win, Prince. Uh, I'm gonna go. Tumblr's waiting." Anxiety said, sinking down.
"That was strange." Prince blinked. "He'd never admit defeat against me."
"Isn't it obvious?" Morality said. "Anxiety totally li—"
"I might not be an expert on emotions, but I don't think Anxiety would appreciate you saying that." Logic said.
"Logic's right." Thomas agreed.
"Saying what? What was he gonna say?" Prince asked, clueless.
"Nothing. Never mind." Morality said, sinking down.
"I'm gonna sink out too. Call me when you have something a little less feelings-y." Logic said, sinking down.
"Will do." Thomas assured him.
"I'm still so confused..." Prince muttered, sinking down.
With all of the aspects of his personality gone, Thomas proceeded to wrap up the video.
"And to all of you, whether you're spending Valentine's Day with a romantic partner, friend, or alone, take the day to celebrate love in all its wonderful forms. And until next time, take it easy, guys, gals, and non binary pals! Peace out!"
