4 Years Later

Before, it's just the two of them, but now it's the three of them. Since 4 years ago, Luhan and Jaehee had a great and happy life. It started when they first welcomed and met their daughter, Lu Haera. Everyday, every single time, they tried to be a good parents for her, caring for her and always staying beside her. They spoiled their only princess with love and they protected her at all cost. They witnessed her first step, they heard her first word,their baby slowly grew into a cute and adorable kid,

Now, Haera is a 4 years old kid and ready for her pre-school. She looks exactly like Jaehee, from head to toes, she is just a replica of her mother. Luhan feels so jealous about this, but he is still proud because his daughter is as beautiful as his wife. Not just pretty but Haera is cute as well, her grandparents really adore her. Not only her relatives but everybody loves her. Since her birth, Haera gets attention from the media and she automatically becomes every people's darling, together with Sehun-Seolhyun's son, Oh Seungjae.

Sehun really loves Seungjae, but he still tries to love his wife, Seolhyun. Before, he likes to act cold to her but since Seungjae completes his life, he starts to act gentle. Things get better after Seungjae born, people loves his son and they start to like him again, forgetting about his scandalous past. It makes his career reach its peak again and he feels grateful for it.

Call it a fate, but Luhan, Jaehee, Sehun and Seolhyun live in the same circumstance. There is a high possibility they will cross a path or attend the same event. Just like today, Jaehee meets Seolhyun when she accompanies her daughter for her first day of pre-school. Their child attend the same pre-school, to be detail, the same class. It annoys Jaehee a little bit because she will often see Seolhyun. Though she becomes friend with Sehun, but nothing changes between her and Seolhyun. They still hate each other, but not as intense as the older day. They have matured.

Today Jaehee accompanies Haera to her class but as soon as the teacher looks after her daughter, she leaves to her father's house. Early in the morning, she got a call from the maid, telling that her father was sick. On the way there, she calls Luhan, reminding him to pick Haera up.

In the other hand, Luhan has a meeting and just starts it. One hour, two hours, he finally finishes the meeting. He immediately leaves as he glances at his watch. He slightly bulges his eyes because he is late by minutes. He rushes to his car and drives to Haera's pre-school.

Luhan still on his way, but the pre-school is over already. The kids, including Haera and Seungjae, stand in line and follow their teacher, walking out from the class. Outside, the parents already wait and one by one, Haera's friends go home with their parents until there is only her and Seungjae left. Both already have pouted lips.

"Let's sit there and wait for your parents, okay?" The teacher talks nicely to them and they just do it.

There, they sit with the teacher and sometimes they glance at each other and smile. After a while, they hear a sound of footstep and they turn their face right away. Haera frowns when she finds out it's not her father, but Seungjae's. Different from her, Seungjae shouts at his father and looks so happy because finally his father is here.

Today, Sehun is the one who picks Seungjae up because he has no schedule. He greets Seungjae's teacher and holds his son's hand. He is about to leave but his son stops there and waves to Haera. Right there, Sehun just realizes her presence and he feels taken aback because for the first time he meets Jaehee's daughter in person. He sees Jaehee in Haera and somehow he wants to protect this little girl. He honestly wants to talk with Haera but he holds it back and just leaves with his son.

Haera stares at them as they disappear. Then she waits there impatiently and starts having a teary eyes. She sobs lowly but suddenly she hears a familiar voice of her father. She lifts her face and finds her father there, walking closer to her.

"Haera-ya" Luhan calls her name. Haera jumps off from the chair and runs towards Luhan. He immediately holds her and carries her, there, his little princess starts crying.

"Oh no, I'm so sorry baby" Luhan talks sweetly as he caresses her back, trying to comfort her.

"Please don't cry, daddy will buy you ice cream"

Haera stops crying right away and it makes Luhan chuckle. His daughter is adorable, she is weak for ice cream and candy. She cutely gives a kiss for her dad and asks him to bring her to the ice cream seller. He nods to her and before leaves, he greets her teacher, saying his thank.

Jaehee tucks the blanket for her father who sleeps soundly and stares at him. She feels relief, her father is sick because he overworks himself, not because of a severe illness. After that, she leaves silently and walks to her old bedroom. There, she lays on the bed and closes her eyes, slowly falling asleep. Hours later, she wakes up to a thousand kisses from Luhan and Haera.

"Mommy wake up" Haera talks cutely and it makes her giggle, though her eyes still close.

"Mommy wake up" Luhan imitate his daughter, making Jihye completely open her eyes.

"My baby, come here"

Jaehee opens her arms for Haera but Luhan is the one who hugs her. It makes Haera sulk and hit Luhan with her little weak hand. Just like a great actor, he acts like it hurts so much, faking a cry and making his only daughter laugh. Jaehee just smiles as she sits down on the bed. Her daughter immediately sits on her laps and tells about her late father. It causes Jaehee to glare.

"How can you do that?" Jaehee talks sternly but Luhan just gives her an eye-smile and rests his chin on her shoulder.

"I'm sorry" He whispers as he embraces both his wife and daughter.

Jaehee just chuckles and kisses her daughter softly "Me too" Luhan whines at her. She turns her face and his lips is right infront of hers. She leans slightly and kisses his sweet lips. She intends for a peck but he nibbles on her lips, turning it into a making out. His lips is a spell, it makes her forget about her daughter. She just remembers when suddenly her daughter screams in jealousy. Right away, they pull away and see their daughter sobs.

"I'm sorry, mommy won't do that again" Jaehee tries to comfort her jealous daughter while Luhan laughs at them and as a narcissistic he states.

"Everybody loves me, everybody wants my attention, I feel so good"

In the evening, Luhan, Jaehee and Haera leaves for dinner. They go to a fancy restaurant and of course every eyes stare at them. People tries to wave and greet their daughter. They smile politely and say thank when people compliments their Haera.

"Our Haera is a celebrity---" Luhan talks cutely at his daughter after they take seat "---just like us" He continues and Jaehee immediately scoffs.

"Stop talking nonsense" She hisses, but smiles in the end.

"Remember? Media always wrote articles about us, at least once a week"

Jaehee chuckles as she hears him. She remembers it as well. Media always followed them around, snapping their intimate moments. It still happens now, but media has more interest in their daughter. This actually makes her a little bit worry because she actually doesn't want to expose their daughter to media.

"Oh no, don't look back" Suddenly Luhan talks.

Jaehee petrifies there, slowly she raises her brows at her husband and he just convinces her to obey, but just like a bad girl, she ignores him and looks back. There, she gets a deja vu. She sees Sehun, Seolhyun and their son. Seolhyun brings a handbag which is the same as hers, same design, same color. She turns to Luhan and frowns deeply.

"You said this handbag is limited edition, you bought it in Paris, how come she holds one?"

Jaehee whines at Luhan. The handbag is a gift from him when she had her birthday last year. Luhan plays a role as victim, he shrugs at her and smiles awkwardly. He really bought it in Paris but who knows, maybe Sehun bought one too for Seolhyun.

"I really hate it" Jaehee starts to have a bad mood.

"I told you to not---"

Luhan pauses there and watches his daughter already waving at Sehun-Seolhyun's son. Luhan and Jaehee witness their daughter smiling cutely at Sehun-Seolhyun's son and they have a bad feeling about this. They turn and look into each other with a blank face. It feels like they read each other's mind, they shake their head in the same time, trying to deny their own imagination, but eventually, their imagination turns into reality.

20 years later, Luhan and Sehun still have a cold relationship, Jaehee and Seolhyun still have hatred and argument, but their child, Seungjae and Haera, they share a special feeling, they care and love for each other. The parents against it but in the end they give in to the kids. Seungjae and Haera have a little wedding, uniting both family which have a not so good history, but as parents, all of them just wish a happy ending for their child.

Through this wedding, Sehun realizes that he met Jaehee for a reason. This is the reason why they met. Yes, it wasn't for his happiness, but it's for his son's happiness. Everything that happened in life has its own purpose and value, as a human, we have no right to judge it just because we don't find the meaning yet. Close your eyes and see, there is good in every bad, there light in every darkness, there is hope in every life.

For Luhan and Jaehee, they have gone through a lot of things together. Up and down, poor and rich, sick and healthy, they always stay beside each other. They are together for a really long time, but this is just another beginning for their forever. Some people say, forever is a really long time, but for them, forever seems like a short period of time. Why? It's simple, because they spend it with each other, love and be loved.
