You are near the village of Vigrid. Bayonetta brought you there to tell you a little about the Umbra witches from her perspective. You are also still training and learning from the Lumen Sage Book.

Bayonetta: "Are you thirsty?"

"Yes, please."

Bayonetta handed you the bottle.

Bayonetta: "You've been training hard ever since you got that book."

"I've got to if I'm going to be a Lumen Sage."

Bayonetta: "There's something I need to show you."

She then forms a magic circle and walks through it.

You are confused at what happened.

"What is it you want to show me?"

Bayonetta picked up your book and flipped through the pages. She finds a page showing a circle similar to hers.

Bayonetta: "Try forming this like how I did."

You formed the circle like deep down, you knew how to do it. You go through it and notice nothing.

"What did you want to show me?"

Bayonetta pointed to something behind you. You turned around and was surprised to see a group of transparent people walking past the village.

"Why are they transparent?" you asked.

Bayonetta: "We're in Purgatorio, a realm connect to the Human world and the Trinity of Realities. It's also where I go when I fight the Angels."

"What, you go here to fight them?" you asked. "Not in the Human world?"

Bayonetta: "Correct, though anything broken in this place also gets broken in the Human world. Not everyone can see things in here."

"But I could see you and all the Angels when I was in the Human World."

Bayonetta: "I figured there was something special about you."

"When?"

Bayonetta: "Remember when we first went to the city?"

"I do."

Bayonetta: "You saw the Angel and heard him talking, right?"

"I did see it talking in another language, yet I understood every word it said."

Bayonetta: "That's how I knew about some of your abilities. Everyone else would just make speculations about what happened since they never saw the Angels or anything in Purgatorio."

Bayonetta then notices something off to the side. A horde of Angels fly down and attack.

Bayonetta: "Run!"

"Bu--" you attempted to say.

Bayonetta: "Now!"

You ran as Bayonetta begins fighting the Angels. You kept running until you came across some ruins and sees a valley with two Umbra witch statues, one of which has a massive stake impaled through its heart.

Suddenly, the ground shakes and something massive breaks through the cliff. It is a large angel with the appearance of a Serpent-like Dragon.

The book about the Angels called this one a Glamor.

Glamor: "Interesting. The Lumen Sage's experiment actually worked".

"What?"

Glamor: "How ironic that an idea that was considered blasphemous actually spared the Sages from extinction. Albeit now highly endangered."

"What are you saying?"

Glamor: "A Lumen child with an Umbran mother, albeit an adoptive one, is rather poetic. That village and those that gave birth to you sealed their fates when they all thought they could be above all. The only survivor is a child with the memories of a Lumen bestowed onto him."

Suddenly, the Glamor is shot.

Bayonetta: "Run!"

The Glamor breaks the cliff and you and Bayonetta begin falling. However, Bayonetta used her magic to slow time as you maneuver through the falling debris and Angels trying to capture you.

You landed on the ground without harm as Bayonetta damages the Glamor, revealing multiple eyes where the ceramic face was placed.

Bayonetta summoned an Infernal Demon known as Gomorrah and it kills the Glamor. However, the Gomorrah turns to you and breaks from the hair Bayonetta was using as a conduit. It attacked you but you dodge the attack.

You then used a Lumen technique called "Light Speed" and climbed the Gomorrah while striking parts of its body. You got on top of it and stabbed it in the head.

The Gomorrah shakes you off, but another memory unlocked in your mind.

You landed on the ground and created giant manifestations of your Glaive to strike the Gomorrah. You jumped and manifested one last Holy Glaive to impale Gomorrah through its mouth.

Gomorrah vanishes as you let go of his glaive and fell to the ground.

Bayonetta: "Y/N, are you hurt?"

"I'm just tired."

Bayonetta: "I'm so sorry. I don't know why it went berserk."

"The Demon probably couldn't resist the scent of a Lumen Sage in training, a voice said from afar."

A man wearing a brown coat and sunglasses appears while holding the Holy Glaive you dropped.

Bayonetta: "Rodin."

Rodin: "Bayonetta."
