Chapter 10: Shopping
You are currently eating breakfast with your mother. You couldn't help but notice that something felt different today.
Maybe it was the food. Maybe it was the atmosphere. You couldn't put your finger on it, but there was something off about today.
Afterwards, you sat on the porch, without a care in the world, when your phone went off.
"Hey nephew, I'm in the city right now, and I was wondering if you and Cereza would like to come along with me? I haven't seen you since New Years."
-- Jeanne
Bayonetta walked out to the porch.
Bayonetta: "Son, did you receive a message from Jeanne?"
"Yes. I was hoping that we could see her."
Bayonetta: "We can, but you will have to come shopping with us because Jeanne and I normally do that in the city."
"I don't mind. I'll go with you."
Bayonetta: "Well, you need to get ready now, or else we won't be able to see her on time."
Timeskip to two hours later...
You are helping your mother and your aunt carry their shopping bags. Boy, were you getting tired. They bought so many things, and there was so many bags, and you had to carry the majority of them. Lucky, it's not all of them, or else you'd be tired.
Jeanne: "What do you think of the city, (y/n)?"
"It's certainly busy, but it's great to visit every now and again. Before I met mom, I never thought I'd ever see a place that's so big and with so many people. I do prefer the quietness of the cabin, but the city is still full of wonderful things."
Bayonetta: "Not to worry, son. I like the cabin as well, but I understand that you're not a big fan of the city. The city is not for everyone."
"It's hard to believe I was taken by angels during my first visit here."
Bayonetta: "Well, it was a surprise, but we're alright now."
You were currently eyeing a digital camera as your mother spoke.
Jeanne: "Is there anything you wanted to buy?"
"This," you pointed.
Timeskip to the evening...
You are currently enjoying your new camera by taking images of the night sky.
Bayonetta: "Are you enjoying your new camera, (y/n)?"
"I'm loving it."
Bayonetta: "Well, sonny, it's time to go inside now."
"Can I take a picture with you before I go inside?"
Bayonetta: "Why not?"
You set the camera timer and ran two your mother, hugging her tightly in front of the cabin. Of course, her glasses fell off when you grabbed her, and you couldn't help but wear them on your face. You two had a good laugh-- well, actually, multiple-- as the camera kept taking images of you two laughing.
Your aunt eventually caught on, and decided to jump into the shot just as the camera flashed.
Of course, you still had one more bit of space for one more image, so Jeanne took a picture with you and your mother.
The image currently resides in the living room, above the fireplace.
