Day 5
{Nothing much could happen,

with nothing much at stake}

The material that the tents were made of did little to keep out the morning sun, resulting in most of the group being awake far too early.
Kirishima was one of the last to rise, and when his eyes finally opened, he could already hear multiple voices growing progressively louder in the campsite.
"Can you go be stupid somewhere else?"
Kirishima's eyes shot over to where Bakugou had fallen asleep- a now unattended spot. In such a tiny tent, it was a surprise that he hadn't heard him leave.
"I guess he didn't realise the position of resident idiot was already filled."
Shinsou's smooth voice sniped back at Bakugou, and Kirishima couldn't help but laugh when he heard what sounded like Bakugou throwing something while shouting rapid profanities.
Deciding this was his cue, Kirishima climbed out of his sleeping bag- making sure to quickly run his fingers through his hair to smooth any unruliness sleep may have caused- and left the tent.
Bakugou instantly went quiet, glancing over to where Kirishima was approaching.
"Morning everyone!" Kirishima chirped, before allowing his eyes to quickly flitter over the group.
Kaminari was sitting beside Shinsou, the two of them holding hotdogs.
Sero, his trademark grin spread on his mouth, was handing two freshly assembled hotdogs to Bakugou, the other boy having thrown his last one at Shinsou.
Ashido, who was sitting beside Sero, had finished eating already and was now tying the laces of her bright pink running shoes.
Bakugou, his chin jutted out pridefully, walked over to Kirishima and held out one of the hotdogs.
Kirishima took the food, grinning widely at the other boy. "Thanks dude! Are you keen to go hiking today?"
Bakugou opened his mouth to respond, but like usual, Ashido was faster.
"We're going to these cool rockpools nearby! Then we'll come back and play games." She was beaming now, her body almost vibrating from excitement. "I've never seen rockpools before, this is gonna be so amazing!"
"Sounds sick!" Kirishima cheered, smiling at her before turning back to Bakugou. The blonde was glaring at the ground, his jaw set tensely. "We can always go for a hike tomorrow morning before we go home if you want."
A small smile spread on Bakugou's lips before it vanished, and he gave a nonchalant shrug. "Whatever Shitty Hair."
~~
The rockpools had really been something else. The water in each tiny pond had been glittering a pale aqua, the bottom of each junction lived an assortment of water critters and different shades of green moss.
The best moment for Kirishima, however, was when a ladybeetle landed on Bakugou's hand as they were eating lunch.
The rest of the group had finished eaten and gone back to ogling at the rockpools, leaving Kirishima and Bakugou sitting together on the stone ledge under a tree.
Kirishima felt a soft smile begin to spread on his lips as he relived the moment- watching as Bakugou had slowly lifted his hand in line with his face, crimson eyes turning so soft as they followed the tiny beetles' movements.
As the ladybeetle flew away, Bakugou's gaze had dropped back to the ground, but his expression remained gentle.
Kirishima had never wanted to kiss someone so desperately in his life.
"So! King's Cup. Has anyone else played before?"
Kirishima jolted out of his thoughts and he looked over to where Kaminari was crouched.
The yellow haired boy had laid out a huge blanket on the grass and moved a small fold out table into the centre. He was currently shuffling a deck of cards, Shinsou watching him with an unreadable expression.
A slow grin began to grow across Kirishima's face as a wave of excitement wafts over him. He glanced to his left, where Bakugou was sitting. The blonde was prodding at the fire with a stick and hadn't even looked at Kaminari when he had spoken.
"Fuck no." Bakugou grunted, unsurprisingly. He had never participated in any of Kaminari's drinking activities before, and Kirishima somehow doubted that he would ever drink alone.
Kirishima's eyes moved over to the box of wine, shooting it a doubtful look. "Neither have I."
"I have!" Sero responded, his toothy grin wider than ever now.
That made sense. If Kaminari was drinking, so was Sero.
Ashido laughed, the musical sound carrying throughout the campsite. "Nope, never! I've had better things to do than rot my brain!"
Kaminari and Sero began to jump to their own defence, giggling and sniping back at the pink haired girl, when another voice spoke up and halted the bickering with a level tone the group was not accustomed to yet.
"I have, too."
Everyone shot surprised glances at Shinsou- except for Kaminari, who grinned with a knowing glint in his eyes.
Shinsou shrugged dismissively. "Only once. Monoma made us all play on his birthday."
"You'll have to tell us about it after a drink or two." Kaminari teased, and Shinsou looked down, his cheeks flushed a pale pink. Kaminari turned back to the group.
"Alright! so for you guys who are lame and don't know, King's Cup is a drinking game where you circle a big cup or a jug or whatever with a deck of cards, and everyone takes turn picking up a card. Each card has a rule, but that's easier to learn by just playing."
"Like this?"
Ashido was holding up a huge Sailor Moon cup, a wicked grin on her face.
"Yes! That's actually great, no one is allowed to fight this!" Kaminari's grin widened to match hers as he laughed, before reaching to take it from her and place it on the small table in front of him. He then got to work circling the cup with playing cards until it was roughly even the whole way around.
Kirishima jumped to his feet, before spinning and offering a hand to Bakugou.
Bakugou took it, a slight frown forming between his eyebrows as he allowed himself to be led away from the fire.
"It'll be fun." Kirishima mumbled, unsure whether it was for Bakugou or himself. The earlier excitement had turned to nerves now, and he doubted the alcohol was going to help that particular development.
Bakugou gave him a sombre look, and Kirishima couldn't help but huff out a laugh, clapping the blonde playfully on the back before they sat down.
Sero was passing plastic red cups around the circle, and Kirishima's nose crinkled at the smell of cheap wine, eyeing his cup hesitantly.
"Okay! I'll go first!" Kaminari chirped, before immediately plucking a card from the circle. As soon as he saw it, he began laughing, clapping a hand on his knee. Sero was chuckling too, and Kirishima didn't miss the pitied look that was shot in his direction.
"Waterfall! You guys are gonna die tonight!" Kaminari choked out, still giggling. He held up an ace card. "Basically, everyone starts chugging their drinks, and can't stop until the person to their left stops. So Shinsou can't stop until I do, Ashido can't stop until he does, and so on."
With that, he lifted his cup and began drinking.
Kirishima was last in line in the circle. This meant he couldn't stop until Bakugou does, and the blonde in question was currently in a stare-off with Sero, who was still chugging his drink with a smug expression.
The taste of the wine wasn't particularly nice- or nice at all, really- and it burnt Kirishima's throat, making his eyes water. He could already feel his mind swimming, like a thin mist had began to blanket over his thoughts.
Finally, Sero had slammed down his empty cup, followed immediately by Bakugou and Kirishima.
"WHOO! Finally!" Kaminari shouted, pumping a fist in the air excitedly before turning to face Shinsou. "Your turn."
Shinsou smiled lazily, reaching one lithe hand forward and sliding a card away from the rest. He then flipped it and read it out.
"Three."
"Oh, that's easy," Kaminari responded, "You just pick three people to drink."
Shinsou's smile turned a bit more devious, and he pointed at Kaminari. "I pick you to drink all three."
~~
"Guys! Watch this!"
Kirishima choked on his drink, coughing violently as he tried to get up and lunge after Kaminari.
The yellow haired boy was sprinting full pace at the fire, his intention to jump through it becoming clear through his manic expression.
Just as his feet left the ground in front of the fire, Shinsou had plucked him from mid-air, the two of them tumbling into a heap on the grass beside it.
"You're an idiot." Shinsou muttered, but Kirishima could see the way he was fighting back a smile as he reached down to help Kaminari back to his feet.
The smaller boy was giggling uncontrollably, attempting to latch onto Shinsou's shoulders like a child.
"Should've let him die. Fuckin toddler."
Kirishima laughed, glancing at Bakugou. The blonde's hair was all over the place, and the alcohol had brought a bright red tinge to his cheeks. He was slumped back against the log, one arm lying along it behind him, and he looked way too good to be as drunk as he was.
Ditching the game of 'would you rather' that he had been playing with Ashido, Kirishima staggered over to flop himself down next to Bakugou, who immediately shifted his arm to settle around Kirishima's shoulders instead of the log.
Kirishima could feel his face flooding with colour at the gesture, and in an action that he would only ever dare to do while drunk, planted a kiss on Bakugou's cheek.
Bakugou coughed, his hand moving to obscure most of his face, before he gave Kirishima an almost sultry look.
It was such a heated look that Kirishima found himself unable to do much but stare back, lost in the attention he was being given.
He never wanted Bakugou to ever stop looking at him like that.
Feeling a shiver run down his body, and the heat beginning to pool in his lower stomach, Kirishima made an impromptu decision to leap back to his feet, and back away a few paces.
"I need to- um- yeah I'm gonna go, I need to pee." He stuttered, mentally cringing at his own unbearable awkwardness.
He stumbled away from the fire, heading towards the tree line at the edge of the campsite.
As he circled back behind the tents, something moved within the trees, causing him to halt his steps. Squinting in the dark, he could see more movement now, and even through the drunken haze, he remembered to harden his skin just in case.
Without calling out, he moved closer, finally catching a glimpse of what was in there.
Kaminari was pressed up against the base of a tree, both of his hands pinned above his head as he whined and squirmed, trying to move in closer.
Shinsou was mouthing at his neck, kissing and licking at him as the smaller boy released small moans, hips bucking minutely.
Kirishima felt his entire face flushed red, the colour spreading down his chest and shoulders, as he turned and ran back to the rest of the group, his heart still pounding.
He was jealous.
He was so jealous.
He wanted that to be him and Bakugou. Could even imagine it, picture it perfectly in his drunken mind.
The way Bakugou would clutch at his hair, pulling on it and moaning into Kirishima's mouth. Having permission to run his hands over every inch of the blonde, everywhere he's wanted to touch for so long now.
Of course, reality was waiting for him when he reached the campsite.
Bakugou was half asleep now, his head lulled back against the log with his eye's half lidded. He still had a red cup clutched in one hand, and barely even looked up when Kirishima came over to sit down hesitantly beside him.
"Shitty Hair. You fuckin ditched me."
Kirishima rose an eyebrow and couldn't help but laugh as the blonde wriggled closer to him, one hand sparking in a half-hearted threat. "Aww sorry bro, but nature was calling!"
"Don' call me that." Bakugou slurred, shooting him a light glare, "I'm not your bro."
"What are you to me then?" Kirishima retorted, without thinking. As soon as the words left his mouth, he cursed Kaminari and his alcohol.
He was almost certain that he wouldn't like the answer to this.
Bakugou stared at him, his cheeks pink as he began swaying slightly. He continued to stare for a few long moments, before finally letting out a sigh and falling forward, head resting against Kirishima's shoulder. "You tell me..."
Kirishima stared, blinking owlishly.
"Wait... what?!" Kirishima exclaimed, but Bakugou's statement had taken him too long to process, and it was already too late.
Bakugou had fallen asleep.
"I have so many questions." Kirishima whispered, tucking a few stray strands of hair behind Bakugou's ear, "but they can wait for another day."
It was probably for the best anyway.
Kirishima wanted to be sober for this.
