(Next Friday)
*Joey POV*
I wake up around 8:30 and go to Lilly's room. I wake her up then go to the boys room. I wake them up and help them get dressed.
"Why wake up" Sean asks
"We have to go some where" I say
I send them downstairs with Lilly then go wake up Spencer and Caleb. I go back downstairs and make breakfast. After breakfast is made I go up to Chad's room. I go in quietly and see him still asleep.
"Chad time to wake up" I say
"Huh" he mumbles
"It's time to get up. The others are already up and eating breakfast." I say
He sits up and leans against the head board.
"You okay" I ask
"Yeah" he says
"Don't for get we have a concert tonight" I say
"I don't think I can perform tonight." He says
"What are we suppose to do" I ask
"Call Donald up. Have him perform in your spot and you in mine. You're the only one who can hit my high notes" he says
"Ok. I'll call him but are you going to come and watch at least" I ask
"Of course" he says
"Ok well breakfast is down on the table. I'm gonna shower and get dressed. The others already are ready" I say
"Ok" he says
I leave the room and go to mine. I take a quick shower then get dressed. I go downstairs to see Chad eating breakfast and the others watching lady and the tramp.
"Ok we need to head out for a meeting in five minutes and then after the meeting we have to head for sound check at the venue." I say
"Ok." Caleb says
"Joe come eat breakfast" Chad says
"No no I'm good. I'm not hungry" I say
"Alright" Chad says
I go outside and call my brother.
D-hey baby bro what's up
J-hey big bro Chad isn't able to perform so can you fill in for him? You'll sing my parts and I'll sing his
D-yeah sure. What time is sound check
J-3:00 I already sent you the address to the venue. Just meet us there. Thanks again
I hang up and go back inside.
"Ok everybody time to go." I say
We go out to the band can and we get the kids in. I get up front in the driver seat and Chad gets in the passenger seat. I start the van and drive off to the meeting.
"Where is the meeting at" Caleb asks
"Nick's house. We were gonna do it at the office but he decided against it." I say
"Ok" Spencer says
"Oh Chad don't forget that we're telling the fans about the cancer at the concert tonight" I say
"Uh ok" he says
"You ok Chad" I ask
"Yeah yeah I'm fine it's just I'm worried that if I tell the fans it's going to do bad things for anthem lights." He says
"Chad if they don't support is through this. Through our hardest time as a band then they aren't true fans. Our fans are lightbulbs. They are suppose to shine bright for God. To show his love and support and kindness to others" I say
"Thanks bro" he says
"No problem" I say
We get to Nick's house and go up to the door. Caleb knocks and shortly Nick opens it.
"Come in come in." He says
We go in and go to the living room. We sit down on the couches with the kids seated around us playing on either our tablets or phones.
"So Chad how have you been" Nick asks
"I'm doing ok. I mean most days are harder then others. Today is okay I mean I'm not performer today because I'm sore and everything from chemo two days ago but I was able to keep my breakfast down which is a good thing." Chad says
"That reminds me Chad did you take your medal this morning" I ask
"Yes" Chad says
"Ok well boys you need to do another tour. It will only have a few shows but you'll do a lot of sight seeing. To just relax a few months." Nick says
"What about my chemo treatments" Chad asks
"If he stops doing them the cancer can grow and it's already starting to shrink  and if it grows it will grow faster and spread" I say
"Are you able to talk with the doctor and arrange at the hospitals in the area you'll be touring." Nick asks
"I can look into it" I say
"Ok. I think that was it. Bye kids and guys" Nick says
"Bye uncle Nick" the kids say
"See ya Nick" Spencer says
We go outside and to the van. We get the kids in then I start the van.
"Alright we've got time to stop for lunch before sound check. Where should we go" I ask
"No Spencer we are not going to Golden Corral" Chad says
"Dang it" Spencer says
"Ok so where are we going to"
I ask
"Just go through chick fil a drive thru" Caleb says
I start the car and drive to chick fil a. I go through the drive thru and Chad passes the food out and I continue driving.
"Joseph Patrick Stamper" Chad says
"What" I ask
I look over at him real quick and he's glaring at me.
"Why didn't you order yourself food" he asks
"I'm not hungry" I say
"Come on Joe you didn't eat at all yesterday either" Caleb says
"Yeah I did. I ate before you guys woke up and after you all went to bed. I had a peanut butter jelly sandwich and fruit snacks" I say
"That's not sufficient. You need more than that" Spencer says
"Ok ok I'll eat after the concert" I say
"Daddy want some nuggets" Asher asks
"You eat them buddy." I say
"No Uncle Joey I'll eat them. He ate all of mine" Lilly says
"Ok" I say
We get to the venue and get everyone and everything out. My brother spots us and comes over to us. He grabs Sean and Asher and we go inside.
"Thanks Donny for doing this" Chad says
"My pleasure" Donny says
"Ok we have to go to sound check. Chad you okay back here with the kids" I ask
"Yeah" Chad says
"Dada me come" Asher says
"No buddy. You stay here with Uncle Chad" I say
"No I go with daddy" asher says
He clings to my arm and I pick him up.
"Ok you can come but you have to sit on the stool." I say
"Ok" Asher says
"Sean come to" Sean says
Spencer picks him up and holds him on his hip.
"Lilly you want to come" Caleb asks
"Ok. I will play the drums. Uncle Joey has been teaching me" Lilly says
"Hey that's suppose to be a secret" I say
"Oops" Lilly says
Caleb picks her up and we go out to the stage. Spencer and I set the boys on the edge of the stage. Caleb sets Lilly down and she goes to the drum set.
"Lilly did you bring your ear ins" I ask
"No I forgot them" she says
"That's okay I brought you a pair" I say
I give them to her and help her put them in.
"Ok what song first" I ask
"Um roar" Caleb says
I nod towards Lilly and starts the beat. We finish with sound check and go back stage.
"Ok Chad we'll start off with you telling them about the cancer just to get it over with and then you can relax" Caleb says
"Alright" Chad says
We fool around for a bit and I end up with Lilly tackling me.
"Lilly get off of me" I say
"No" she says
Asher and Sean get up from the floor and also get on me.
"Alright kids get up. I have to go perform now" I say
"No" they say
Caleb and Spencer grab the two boys and I place Lilly on Chad's lap. I stand up and us five pray then the four of us go out on stage.
"How y'all doing tonight" I yell
"Where's Chad" one girl yells
"Chadwick come out here" Caleb says
Chad comes out and I hand him my mic.
"Hey guys so I'm not performing tonight but Donald is filling in and I'm sure he'll do great. Now I know you're all wondering why I'm not performing since I'm here at the concert anyways. But the reason I'm not performing is because I was diagnosed two months ago with acute leukemia. I've been getting chemo and radiation treatments. Two weeks ago I was told that the radiation wasn't working so now I'm only getting chemo. Some days are harder then others but the guys help me and support me through everything and I hope you guys do to." Chad says through the tears
Us guys go over to him and group hug him. He goes back stage and we start the concert.
"Ok before we sing the last song I think we did a little help on the drums" Spencer says
"Lilly you want to come out and play drums for just fall" I ask
A couple seconds later Lilly runs out. She goes over to the drums and I grab my guitar. I hook it up to the amp and sit on the stool.
"Chad come out here" Caleb says
Chad comes out and Donald gives him his stool and we all move to sit around him. Lilly starts the beat and I join in strumming. Then we start singing.

"Thanks guys I needed that" Chad says

"Time for meet and greet" Caleb says

"Um duh" he says
We go out to the lobby where the table is at. Behind the table is eight chairs. It goes: me, Asher, Chad, Lilly, Caleb, Spencer, Sean. The security guard opens the doors and fans start coming through. We get through the whole line till the last person who looks to be about 16 and a guy.
"Hi what's your name" I ask
"Dustin but my younger sister use to call me dusty and it stuck so most call me dusty." He says
I sign his shirt and pass it to Chad. He signs it but then dusty stops in front of Lilly.
"Lils" Dustin says
"Dusty" Lilly says
"Lils what happened. Where's mom and dad" Dusty asks
"They died. Chad adopted me" Lilly says
"Um what's going on" Chad asks
"When I was 13 and Lilly was 1 my parents sent me away. They actually sent me to an orphanage. I never knew why. A year later I was told that everyone in my family died. I still haven't been adopted but I snuck out to come to the concert because I was able to get tickets" dusty says
Lilly gets up from the chair and crawls under to table. she goes up to dusty and hugs his leg.
"I love you bubba" Lilly says
Caleb and Spencer quickly sign the shirt and place it back in front of Chad.
"I have an idea" Caleb says
"What" I ask
"Chad I need to talk to you" Caleb says
They get up and walk away. They come back a few minutes later and sit down.
"Ok so Dustin we have a proposition to make" Chad says
"What" Dustin asks
"Well...

Looke @ what I did. I put in a cliff hanger. How dare I be so mean. Well what's gonna happen? No one is gonna know till the next chapter. But surprise surprise Lilly has a big brother. Why did his parents send him to an orphanage when his sister was kept you've gotta wait and see.
