Roleplay day 7

K: UPA was still slightly stunned and confused as to why Poland of all people would hug him, especially after how brutal he had been towards the polish population back in the 1940s.  None the less he simply followed the two, still leaning on Mandara for support.

M: As they walked through the forest, Mandara noticed how quiet UPA was and was slightly concerned about it, he was going to ask what was wrong until a vibrating in his feathers made him stop dead in his tracks, and Poland did the same seconds after.

"Do you feel that?" Poland asked, to which Mandara nodded excitedly,

"I do, it feels like Thunder!"

"It does, you two stay here and I will go get him, ok Mandy," Poland said and Mandara nodded again.   Poland pecked him on the cheek then took off towards where the vibrations were coming from.

K: UPA stopped with him, straightening up once he felt the vibrations, he wasn't one who often used them but he could still feel them.  He nodded slightly and waited for Poland to fly off before softly sighing as he started to lower himself to the ground "I'm going to sit." He said quietly.

M: Mandara nodded and let him down, then sat down next to him.  As they waited for Poland and MA, Mandara decided to look over his hurt wing since he didn't get to before.  On the outside it was fine, other than the feathers picking up dirt and derbies from dragging on the forest floor, it looked uninjured.

Satisfied with the outer appearance of his wing, Mandara tried to move it to inspect any internal damage and instantly regretted it.  He let out a yelp as pain spread from his wing throughout his body, it was almost as bad as when Ussr broke his wings.

"S-shit," he winced, "haven't felt pain like that in a long time."

K: He sat on the ground with a soft sigh as he slowly rubbed his good leg before glancing over at his own wing, slightly moving it only to winch and stop.  He jumped slightly when Mandara let out a pained yelp, instantly looking over at the country with concern. "Are you okay?"

M: "Y-yeah" Mandara said, still trying to recover from the pain, "I just made the stupid decision to try and move my wing, I definitely think I tore a muscle or something." He waited a minute for the pain to dissipate before speaking again,

"I am such an idiot, my recklessness caused me to hurt my wing and yours too, now neither of us are gonna be able to fly for a while and it's all my fault."  Mandara turned away from UPA and muttered under his breath, "I don't deserve my wings."

K: "Well let's hope it's only that, a torn muscle is better than a broken wing." He said before furrowing his brows, moving closer, and putting a hand on the other's shoulder.

"Hey! Don't you dare say that, it's not all your fault, we're both at fault here and never say you don't deserve them." He spoke in a stern voice, his tone dropping as he added "if anyone doesn't deserve them it's me." He said that barely above a whisper, mostly to himself.

M: Mandara was slightly startled by UPA's tone of voice, but he understood what he was trying to say, he was also confused at the last statement that the militant said, he was going to ask him about it, but someone shouting cut him off.

"TRIGGER!!" the voice yelled, Mandara instantly knew who it was and quickly stood up, just in time to see MA and Poland fly into view and towards him.  When the two landed, MA wasted no time pulling Mandara into a massive hug, being careful of his wing.

"Trigger, thank the gods you're ok," MA said, almost tearing up from the relief he was feeling, "I was so worried something happened to you, what are you doing out here?" Before Mandara could answer, MA spotted the country from earlier sitting on the ground behind Mandara.  MA let go of his brother and scowled at the stranger, "Who is he, did he hurt you?"

K: UPA pulled his hand away, his head snapping up at the shout as he watched them from where he sat, a small smile crossing his lips before turning into a frown when he was scowled at.  In an instant he got defensive, crossing his arms as he scowled back, tensing up as his wings slightly bristled. That question made him narrow his eyes, he knew he had a bad rep, his brother did as well, but most of it was exaggerated or wrong, which made him get overly defensive when it came to being accused of things.

"For your information, I tried to help him the best I could, I'm not some monster." He said harshly, trailing off at the end.

M: MA raised a brow and turned back to Mandara, "What's going on?" he asked, to which Mandara replied,

"It's ok Thunder he's a friend.  This is UPA, we were racing and I tore something in my wing from going too fast, and he saved my life."

MA stared at his brother in disbelief, he then turned to Poland behind him, "Why didn't you say anything Poland?"

"I tried to, but you flew off before I could," Poland said.  MA hummed in response and then turned back to UPA, taking a step towards the entity.

"Well, I sincerely apologize for my previous accusations, and you have my gratitude for saving my brother." MA then noticed UPA's missing leg and extended a hand out, "Perhaps I can make it up to you by helping you up?"

K: UPA looked up at the other, his expression hard for a moment before it softened and he let out a small sigh, relaxing a bit. He thought for a moment before hesitantly taking the militant's hands, knowing it would be too much work getting back on his own. "Thank you and sorry for snapping, I don't do well with sudden accusations."

M: "Well I guess that makes both of us," MA said as he helped him up, letting UPA lean on him for support, he then turned to Poland, "Poland can you go tell the others that we found Trigger, we'll meet you back at the WATCH building."

Poland nodded and flew off once again.  MA noticed how Mandara watched him go and he patted his brother's shoulder, "Don't be upset, we're gonna meet back up with him anyway, you'll be with your boyfriend soon enough."

Mandara rolled his eyes at MA's joke, "Well, let's stop chit-chatting and get going then." MA nodded and started walking, keeping his pace slow so UPA could keep up.

K: Once upright UPA put an arm around the other's shoulders, leaning on him slightly for support as he sighed.

"Well, I'll never hear the end of this." He muttered to himself as the three started to make their way back, he could already hear Ukraine scolding him for leaving his prosthetic behind and getting into trouble.

M: It took the three a good 15 minutes to get back to the WATCH building, and waiting for them were their friends and other countries that had helped MA in searching.  Mandara was immediately tackled by Kazakhstan and Russia who were both very happy that he was safe.  As Mandara was getting hugs and questions from the other countries, MA hung back with UPA since neither liked being the center of attention.

MA then asked UPA, "Is there someone here who knows you, or did you come by yourself?"

K: UPA watched the others, thankful that MA stayed back with him, he wasn't the social type after all.  He shook his head slightly and let out a small laugh "I would have never come to this thing if I was on my own, there's no point of me being here after all." He said with a shrug before hearing the door open and close as Ukraine made his way over to them, UPA could tell by his expression that Ukraine wasn't pleased.

"What were you thinking?  You are so lucky that you didn't go out alone and that they managed to find you." The Ukrainian scolded the entity as he stopped in front of them, simply earning a sigh from UPA

"Ya ya, I know."

Ukraine just shook his head before looking at MA with a small smile "Thank you for helping him back here."

M: "Your welcome," MA said, "and don't be too hard on him, Trigger told me on our way here what happened, and I can say without a doubt that he saved my brother's life." he turned his head back to UPA, "and I will forever be grateful."

K: "Don't mention it, I just did what I thought was right is all." UPA said as he rubbed the back of his neck slightly, not used to others saying things like that to him.

"Oh, well I guess I can't stay that mad." He then looked at UPA again before continuing "I'm still not happy that you left your prosthetic behind though." Ukraine said before walking over, putting one arm around his waist as UPA put an arm over the country's shoulder. "I can take him from here."

M: MA nodded and let go of UPA, smiling at the two before going to join his brother.  Mandara had just finished telling everyone what happened when he saw MA come closer, he excused himself from the group and met MA halfway.  MA gave him another long hug before he crouched down to inspect Mandara's limp wing.  He carefully ran a hand over the feathers and was relieved that there was no external damage.

"Can you move it at all?" he asked, looking up at his brother, Mandara shook his head.  MA sighed and stood back up, "Come on, I'm sure there's a medkit around here somewhere we can use." Mandara nodded and the brothers went to take care of Mandara's wing.
