5.) Kidnapped, Nunjas, and Rescue

I know I can't take one more step towards you
'Cause all that's waiting is regret
Don't you know I'm not your ghost anymore
You lost the love I loved the most
I learned to live, half alive
And now you want me one more time
Who do you think you are?
Runnin' 'round leaving scars
Collecting your jar of hearts
And tearing love apart
You're gonna catch a cold
From the ice inside your soul
So don't come back for me
Who do you think you are?
~Jar of Hearts ~ Christina Perri~

...April 16, 2019...

We reach the cave at the same time as the batmobile. I set Richy down as the two slowly jump out the batmobile.

"Master Dick, it's nice to see you again," Alfred greets. "You need a haircut."

Richy doesn't say anything but chuckles and moves over to hug the old butler.

"Dick," Tim speaks up.

"Hey, little bird," Richy smiles, ruffling his hair before bringing him into a hug.

I move over to Damian, checking him over. "You're hurt."

"I've suffered worse," he grunts.

I give him my annoyed face as I check him over. He lightly slaps my hands away. I give a light slap back before continuing my check up.

"You must be Damian. Aura mentioned you," Richy says, moving up to us. "It's nice to meet my newest baby brother."

"I wish I could say the same, Grayson," Damian huffs, leaving up to the manor. Alfred follows behind him.

Richy gives me a look.

"Don't worry. He's like that. He'll warm up to you eventually. He doesn't trust easily," I respond. "Timmy? Catch Richy up. I'll go help Alfie patch up Dami."

Tim chuckles at the use of all the nicknames. "He needs at least 24 hours of rest," Tim says. "We'll be back later. We're going to meet up with Batwoman."

I nod before following behind Alfred and Damian up to his room. I quickly realize I have no idea where his room is and begin to speed around the manor. I finally find his room then enter to find Damian out of costume and Alfred finishing wrapping Dami's head with a bandage.

"I don't have a concussion," Damian huffs.

"I wasn't aware you received a medical degree while you were in the Himalayas, Master Damian," Alfred sasses, holding his hand out.

Damian uncrosses his arms and places his left arm in Alfred's outstretched hand. "I've been hurt worse than this sparring with my grandfather," Damian scoffs.

Alfred begins wrapping Damian's upper arm. "I'd hardly hold Ra's Al Ghul up as an example of enlightened child-rearing," Alfred continues his sass.

"Timmy said you need at least 24 hours of rest," I speak up, sitting on the edge of bed.

"He's not my father! Neither are you." He narrows his eyes at Alfred before looking at me. "And you're not my mother," he scoffs.

Alfred gives a small grin. "And for that, young man, you should be profoundly grateful," he tells him, leaving the room and shutting the door behind him.

"No, I'm not your mother, but I am your sister," I speak up. "And I love you."

"I don't know why."

I move closer to him and wrap him in a hug, planting a quick kiss on his forehead. "Because you're Damian." I let him go, leaving him in his confused thoughts, trying to figure out what I mean. I smile with a slight smirk. "Get some rest, we'll talk more tomorrow. Goodnight, baby bird." I turn off the lights before closing the door behind me.

"Goodnight," he calls out behind me.

I smile before I turn myself into my Bolt outfit. I remove the green strips from my hair and leave it completely pink. My outfit over the years hasn't changed at all. It still looks as it did all those years ago.

I head into the Batcave, sitting in the chair in front of the computer and searching up what I can of where Bruce could possibly of gone. I'm suddenly pricked in the neck and reach up to pull out a needle which I quickly figure out was laced with a sleeping poison.

"If you're trying to knock me out, you'll find that you're gonna have quite a bit of trouble in being successful." I stand up to the intruder.

"What?" he says with disbelief.

"You can shoot as many of those things as you want," I smirk, summoning up a ball of electricity. "It's not going to even make me waver."

"What are you?" he asks. "Who are you?"

"Me? You must not have been in this business very long then. I died 7 years ago. You'll find it very hard to get rid of me. The name's Bolt. Who're you?"

"Heretic."

"Well, Heretic, I don't know how you got in here, but you shouldn't expect to leave. I guess I should begin by asking you why you're here and who you're working for."

"Those are two things I'm not going to reveal to the likes of you."

I smirk. "Well, then I guess I'll just have to beat it out of you." I shoot the ball of electricity which he easily dodges. "It can never be easy, can it?"

For about 10 minutes, we exchange blows before the elevator opens and out comes Damian in full Robin uniform.

"Bolt?! What's going on? Who is he?" Damian asks.

"You should be in bed!" I huff, giving Heretic a painful shock. "He's an intruder! Contact the others!"

"Just who I was looking for," Heretic smirks, shooting Damian with one of the needles from before.

"No!" I shout, grabbing for it but wasn't fast enough as it lodged into Damian's neck before he could even dodge it. A few shots are heard and 4 pains flare through my body at my back, making me crumple to the floor. "Ugh..."

"You asshole!" Damian shouts, running at Heretic who easily dodges by moving slightly sideways.

"You got some nerve shooting me," I groan out, pushing myself off the floor. I shake the bullets out of my body before blasting forward and sucker punching Heretic across the cheek.

He spits a bit of blood out his mouth as he blocks an attack from Damian who's slowing down. "Damn, you definitely have a nice punch, bitch."

"You have no idea!" I growl.

Damian begins to get slower and slower as we fight against Heretic.

He smirks. "You're slowing down. Losing too much blood." He manages to get two shots in my stomach as he blocks me. "You're already tired no use to keep trying."

"I will never give up when it comes to my family," I growl out as I glare at him, blood pooling at my feet. I transform into a large electric beast. Keeping the form steady as much as I can, I lash out at him.

"Shit..." Heretic murmurs, jumping as much as he can from my hits.

Damian crumples to the floor behind me.

"Damian!" I cry out, duplicating a form of myself to his side and leaving my electric form to continue attacking Heretic. "Are you alright?"

"Slee...py..." he whispers. His eyes widen. "Behi–"

"Ugh!!!" I shout, looking down to see the blade poking out my chest.

It's removed from me and I topple over. The electric beast disperses.

"Good job, Onyx," Heretic says huffing. "Leave her to die. Grab the boy."

That's the last thing I hear before my vision blurs and I'm out.

~~~
"Aura! Come on, you need to wake up," Richy's voice desperately beckons me.
I let out a groan and slowly sit up with Tim and Richy's help. I gasp. "Damian! Where is Damian?!"
Richy immediately brings me into a hug. "I seriously can't lose you again. Try to be more careful."
I return the hug.
"He's gone," Tim answers my question.
I pull back from Richy. "He was kidnapped," I retort. "We need to find him."
"You're not going anywhere," Richy says, pulling away from me. "You were shot multiple times and stabbed in your back out your chest. You need to give yourself time to heal. How'd he even hit you?"
"Got distracted and there's no time. Damian's in trouble. I'm not going to let another brother die. Especially since I know this time and can help," I scoff, glaring at Richy. He drops his head down. "You're not going to stop me. I'd like to see you try."
He looks up at me and puts his hands up. "Fine. Alfred put a tracker on Damian anyway. We're about to leave," Richy says.
I slip my legs off the side of the table I was on. "Did you guys get the bullets out?"
"Yeah," Tim says. "We had to cut your suit off to do it though. Sorry about that."
I stand up with ease, reforming my suit around my body. "It's fine. It reforms."
"Whoa," Tim gasps in awe. "What kind of technology is that? Is it nanotech?"
"No, it's not technology," I admit. "I ionize the air around me to make my suit, so I can travel through electric lines without my clothes going up in flames."
"So cool," Tim fawns, eyes shining.
"I'm surprised Bruce doesn't have a file on me," I admit with a smirk.
"He does," Tim admits. "Only the basic stuff though the rest is just so locked up even I can't hack it."
"Oh, wow..." I gasp before shaking my head. "Anyway." I begin to walk, spotting Batwoman nearby. "What's she doing here?"
"She's helping us," Richy says.
"I understand that," I reply. "But why is she here in the cave? I thought you weren't part of this 'cult?'"
Her eyes narrow at me. "How old are you, five?"
"Wanna find out?" I smirk, fingers sparking.
Alfred clears his throat. "Damian's position has stopped."
I brush past Batwoman and look at the coordinates. "I'll meet you two there."
"Two?" Richy voices.
I smirk, moving over to Tim. "He's lighter than you, babe."
"You shouldn't be lifting anyone," Richy huffs.
I reveal my back to him to show the wounds are gone. "I think I'll be okay." I scoop up Tim like a princess. "Hope you can handle fast."
He wraps his arms around my neck to be more stable. "Bart has sped me around enough. I know the drill."
"Bart?" I question, blinking. "New speedster? Interesting. I'll have to meet the team after this." I speed off to the coordinates. "There is still a team, right?"
"Yeah, we have a new headquarters though," Tim answers.
"What happened to the cave?" I ask.
"Aqualad blew it up."
"What?!"
"He was working undercover as a villain without anyone but Dick, Artemis, Wally, and himself knowing."
I suck in a breath to keep myself from crying. "Interesting." I sigh. "You'll... have to fill me in on everything when this is all over."
I skid to a stop outside the place. We slink into the shadows.
"The sisters of perpetual grace. A respected religious order with missions across the world," Tim whispers.
"Huh," I scoff. "Seems like the perfect cover for villains then."
We see the Batmobile in the distance making its way to crash through the entrance. The nuns begin shooting at it only for Richy to retaliate, releasing small missiles to destroy the gates and a nearby tower. We enter behind the Batmobile. Batwoman and Batman jump out of the car beside us, and we're all quickly surrounded by nuns.
"This isn't gonna be easy," Batwoman voices.
"Well, for the three of you obviously," I point out.
Nuns with machine guns appear on the roof and the ones on the ground unsheathe katanas.
"Nuns with M60s and katanas?" Batwoman speaks up.
"That would make them nunjas," Batman says.
Tim and I snicker.
"This is why I love you," I grin.
"You know it," he replies.
"I'm surrounded by children," Batwoman groans.
The nunjas begin heading towards us and the ones above begin to shoot.
"I'll take the gunners," I call out, racing up the wall, kicking, punching, and shoving the nuns off the roof, down the cliff, and into the sea below. I take notice of the two flyers, Killer Moth and Firefly, heading toward the group. "Look out!"
Killer Moth releases a couple bombs that they dodge from my warning. I take out the remaining gunners on the roofs. Firefly moves up to blast Batman and Batwoman only for a blue batarang to lodge itself in his jet pack and make it explode, sending him flying through a nearby wall. I make my way down beside them.
"Looks like you could use a little help," a man says in some sort of glowing blue batsuit, landing in front of us.
"Hellooo, nurse," Batwoman says.
"Luke?" Batman calls out.
"You want a megaphone to announce that?" he scoffs, taking out the members rushing up to us with his suit's batarangs. "Call me Batwing."
"Batwing? That's original," Batwoman and I joke, taking out a few more nunjas. We give each other a grin.
"Can't say I'm not glad to see you," Batman says, kicking more butt.
I see from the corner of my eye the large creature man known as Tusk walk into the facility, slamming the doors shut behind him.
We continue to take down more of these nunjas. Batwing takes to the skies with Firefly and Killer Moth following after him.
"Where do all of them come from?!" I huff out.
"You can still vibrate through things, right?" Batman asks.
"Of course, how else do you think I got into your room on the train?" I scoff.
"Then you go on ahead," he commands. "We can handle things out here."
I salute, disappearing through the door and moving so fast no one can see me. I'm invisible to the human eye. A technique I practiced while I was away. When I arrive to the room with Damian, I find him slapping Bruce, who's slumped against a wall.
"Batman, we need you," Robin pleads. He smacks him again.
"Robin," I call out, moving to his side.
"Aura," Robin whimpers slightly.
I give him a grin before turning to Bruce. "Long time no see, old man. You look like shit." Electricity crackles at my fingertips. "But right now we need you. You're the god damn Batman. Pull through. We have a lot to talk about once you're better." I slam my hands on his chest like a defibrillator.
He jumps up with a gasp, looking at me confused. "Aura...?"
An explosion is heard from above. Damian and I help him stand up and move out the room slowly.
"This way!" Damian huffs as we move along the corridor. "Come on, father."
Up ahead is Richy who moves towards us after the man he was fighting gets smashed with a part of the ceiling. He takes Damian's side as we turn to walk up the stairs. Damian moves ahead on lookout.
"How are you?" Richy asks.
"In one piece, which is more than I can say for this place," Bruce grunts out painfully.
We make it halfway up the stairs before it crumbles beneath us. Richy and I are able to evade it but Bruce and Damian weren't so lucky. Damian blasts a grappling hook and manages to catch Bruce. Richy and I grab the line and pull the two up. Fate didn't seem to like us as the rock beneath our feet gave way, and we all go tumbling off the cliff. I shift into my electric form, releasing an electric grip from each hand and catching the two closest to me, Damian and Richy. I fly back up, pulling them with me.
"Father!" Damian shouts, reaching down for him as he disappears beneath the fog below.
I set the two on the ground beside Batwoman and Red Robin.
"No..." Batwoman whispers.
That's when Batwing decides to make an appearance, holding Bruce. We all give a sigh of relief then crowd together a safe distance away from any tumbling remains.
"Thanks for saving our butts back there, Luke," Richy says.
"Yeah, too bad they got away... Well, Dad always wanted me to work with Bruce Wayne. I'm proud to be a part of your team," Batwing says.
"We can handle this on our own. Nightwing, Red Robin, Robin, Bolt, back to Gotham," Bruce says, stalking off to the batmobile.
"Tch. You're welcome," Richy huffs in disdain, eyes narrowing.
