Tyler walked into merlocks library after class, the boy had a few cuts and bruises but wasn't bleeding, Merlock laughed a little bit "Your like Clay when it comes to training! Always coming back covered in small cuts or bruises!" The wizard shook his head, Tyler laughed as well

Tyler managed to not freak out at the fireball this time, the fire was small and weak "Its cold..." Tyler said, Merlock seemed upset "I'll be back in a minute, please don't touch anything..." He said and walked out

After a long amount of silence Tyler heard a voice, it was croaky and raspy "Hey Kid!" It called, Tyler looked around "your not hearing things... Your not talking to yourself either kid... I'm over here!" The voice was coming from behind Tyler

He walked over to the big book on a stand, he picked it up and opened it, then closed it and it had a huge face "Boo!" He shouted, causing Tyler to drop him "ouch... My spine..." The book said, Tyler picked him up "what do you want from me... Merlock said you were a bad book..." He said "And YOU could be a bad kid" the book replied, Tyler thought for a moment "come on? don't you wanna get back at your dad for all those bad things HE did to ya?? you could get him back now or never and i could help!" the book said eagerly, Tyler didn't know what to say "listen kid it's either you do this willingly or i'm gonna bite you." the book said showing it's long sharp teeth "ok fine...." Tyler said rolling his eyes "good! first step is to stop taking lessons with that goody two shoe Merlock-" Tyler inturrupted the book "but merlock helped save my life- OW!" The book bit his hand "Forget about merlock! i'm your mentor now!" the book seemed angry

both heard someone coming to the library, Tyler picked up the book and ran out through another door

Merlock looked at the missing book "not again..." He said sadly
