Day 24: Something That Makes You Cry
Onions.
No but really? UGHHHHHHHHH. This is embarrassing, but the thing that makes me cry more than anything is sad movies. Burn myself on the stove? Okay. Bad grades? Having a fight? Parents divorcing? No tears. But I will ALWAYS cry during that one sad part near the end of the movie. The worst ones I've seen so far are Big Hero Six (Which I LOVE by the way), The Jungle Book (the new one), Star Wars The Force Awakens (One of my favorite characters died. Do you blame me?), and (this movie was a nightmare) Interstellar.
Can I just say that there was NO REASON WHATSOEVER to make Interstellar such a FREAKISHLY LONG MOVIE?!? My dad picked that movie, and we watched in on the Fourth of July.THE FOURTH OF JULY. We were up all night watching the fireworks and watching that stupid movie because it was so suspenseful and it was so riddled with sad parts and I just could Not. Stop. Crying. Because it was so SAD! It just makes me really sad that this poor astronaut guy had to watch his friends die and his kids grow up feeling abandoned and why the HECK WAS THAT MOVIE SO LONG? (I think someone needs to take away my "caps lock" button...) And the Fourth of July is my favorite holiday too...
Well actually, Halloween is. But Independance Day is a close second. Halloween is so great though! Cuz a) you can dress up. 2) you can decorate your house. 3) everyone celebrates it, not just one religion or country, and c) candy?!?
I always make my own Halloween costumes. I might be a bit too old for trick or treating, but you are never too old to dress up! Well, I'm never too old at least. I've dressed up as a flapper, a lion, a greek goddess, a bandit, a roman praetor from a book, and some other stuff. Last year I was a phoenix! Phoenix costumes are really easy to make if you have access to a fabric store. Which I do! (People in my area, go to the Ross near Home Depot). All you do is get a red shirt, red leggings, and a red skirt. Than you take this really thin filmy fabric, I thought it was called chiffon but my friend says it's tulle? It's the stuff in tutu's. You get red, yellow, and orange and cut them into long strips. Than you tie some strips together and attach that to the leggings (that's your tail). Get a headband and attach some of the smaller strips for head feathers, and the rest of the chiffon/tulle goes on your arms for wings. Voila! You are a phoenix! This has been Costume Design Class with Chloe! Peace.
