STILES STILINSKI STOOD IN THE BUSY STREETS OF MEXICO WITH LYDIA MARTIN BY HIS SIDE. He looked around before clapping his hands together. "This doesn't seem too bad." He commented, trying to put Lydia to ease.
"It's not the town; it's the plan." Lydia told him, explaining the reason she wore a frown on her face the moment they arrived.
"What's wrong with the plan?" Stiles asked.
"Stiles. This could be the stupidest plan we've ever come up with." Lydia argued, she then turned to him. "You're aware of that, right?"
The boy looked around, suddenly the thought sinking in that they were in Mexico and said, "I'm aware it's not our best." He agreed.
The banshee then pursed her lips. "We are going to die." She stated.
The two began to walk. "Are you saying that as a banshee or are you just being pessimistic?" Stiles asked while he fixed his black denim jacket.
"I'm saying it as a person who doesn't wanna die." Lydia answered.
"Okay, then would you mind restricting any talk of death to actual banshee predictions?" Stiles requested.
"This plan is stupid and we're going to die." Lydia repeated with a sarcastic smile on her face.
"Oh, thank you." Stiles said back, sarcastically. The girl bummed at him, causing him to run a hand through his hair.
He mainly wished the plan would work, it was his plan after all โ and he hoped that it would work and they could bring their friend home. He was trying to do a gesture that would almost repay his friend for everything that she had done for him since he wasn't able to say thank you before she left.
It took the two a while for the two to get to their destination by walking โ and getting lost a few times as the maps on their phones hadn't been updated in a long time or they just didn't have service at all like Stiles' phone โ they finally arrived to a door that was guarded by two men, the alleyway they found themselves in was dark, making it look like it was night time.
"Is this where the party is?" Lydia asked the two men in perfect Spanish.
One of the guys who was leaning against the wall smirked at her and shook his head. Stiles realised what he was asking for when he made the look at them and reached into his back pocket and pulled out his wallet.
He pulled out a black playing card with a skull on it and held it up to the guys, who's smile then dropped and took a step back and looked up at the security camera up behind him, which grabbed the attention of Stiles also.
Stiles then held up the card to the camera and a buzzing sound was made as the door opened meaning they were allowed in.
The two walked through the door towards a narrow and dimly lit hallway with burgundy coloured walls that ended with another steel door, looking back quickly as the door shut loudly behind them. As they walked they noticed the lights perched up on the walls were shaking heavily and their eyes followed it to the door that was vibrating.
Stiles pushed the door open and it revealed a club with loud music, blaring lights and sweaty half-naked people dancing.
Stiles grabbed onto Lydia's hand and lead her over towards the bar, the two stood their for a few moments quietly as the bartender places two shot glasses in front of them, filled with clear liquid.
"Oh." Stiles mumbles and reached into his back pocket for his wallet once again.
A man came up behind them and placed his hands on their shoulders, gripping them. "No. On the house." He said with a heavy Mexican accent. He then noticed how they didn't move a muscle towards the glasses. "Most American teenagers don't cross the boarder to refuse a drink." He said, almost offended.
"We didn't come to drink." Lydia stated and the placed a golden bullet shell with a skull into the shot glass.
The man instantly recognised the bullet shell and took them to the back room to where they originally wanted to be, to meet with an older woman named Araya.
"Severo hates this music." She begins to say with a smile as she cut up the piece of leather in her hands. "Me? I've always loved the music of youth. This kind, especially. It has a savage energy."
"We're here for Derek Hale." Lydia said bravely, cutting the small talk short.
"Is that so?" Araya questioned.
"We know you have him." She said. Araya only looked at her with a smile on her face. "We've heard you can be bought."
Stiles then placed the stacks of cash that he had in his jacket pocket on the table and laid it all out in front of her. "That's fifty thousand for Derek."
Araya smiled again and pointed to the cash. "Now, where does a teenage boy get money like this?" She questioned. "Japanese mafia?"
"More like Hell." Stiles answered, recalling as he was given the large amount of money from one of Lucy's demons weeks ago in case he ever needed it.
The guards in the room then cocked their guns making the two teenagers stiffen. Araya leaned against the table. "Not smart to come alone." She threatened with a smirk โ but was not at all amused at what she thought was the boy's attempt as a joke.
"What makes you think we came alone?" Stiles retorted, knowing that Malia, Kira and Scott were in the party downstairs.
The hunter group's leader stood up. "You brought a wolf into my home?" She spat.
"We brought an alpha." Stiles corrected.
Araya instantly sent out the crew into the crowds and walked away from her chair towards the windows where the sun was blaring and sighed. "My friends, I'm not sure you're aware of your poor timing." She stated. "Do you know what the dark moon is?"
"A part of the lunar phase where the moon is least visible in the sky." Lydia answered promptly.
The hunter turned around. "Yes, but do you know what it means?" She asked.
Lydia shrugged. "Some people say it's a time of reflection. Or grief." She said.
"Grief or loss, mija." The hunter confirmed. She then cocked her head to the side. "I wonder why, when you and your friends have suffered so much loss, you would risk it again for someone like Derek Hale."
"Because we don't like to lose." Stiles said. "And there's someone we know who really wants him back. Someone who will do anything to get what she wants."
As Araya stood behind her chair and gripping the wooden ends, a Spanish voice began to speak over the radio.
"Front door clear." One said.
"South clear." The other said.
"North?" Severo asked. He then asked again in Spanish.
"Stiles." They then heard Scott's voice. "Take ten off the table." He ordered.
Stiles did as he was told. "Maybe you should just take the deal." Lydia suggested, causing Araya to smirk once again.
"While I am keen to follow the warning of a banshee, I'm going to have to decline." She smiled making the two teenagers disappointed.
"Okay, c'mon just give us Derek." Stiles begged. "You don't want him anyway. Haven't you noticed what a downer he is? No sense of humour, poor conversationalist โ I have no idea how our friend even likes him. Just come on, take the money." He tried to reason with the hunter.
Araya then grabbed her radio again and held it towards her mouth. "Severo?" She called out. "Show then how the Calaveras negotiate." She said and then walked out of the room.

After the minor torture session with the Calaveras that ended up with a shocking revelation, Scott stood on a desert hill staring at the abandoned city. "La Iglesia." Braeden introduced to the werewolf.
"What happened here?" Scott asked the mercenary.
"An earthquake. It levelled the town." Braeden answered the boy.
"Then why is the church still standing?" Scott asked again as he noticed the church perfectly in tact while the rest of the city was in ruins.
"The locals think it's because of what's underneath." Braeden said.
"Do I wanna know?" Scott interjected.
"The church was built over the ruins of an Aztec temple." A voice spoke from behind them, causing Scott and Braeden to turn around and look at Lucy who was walking towards them, causing Scott's eyes to widen.
"Lucy?" He asked in shock. "You're here? I โ wow, you're here. We haven't seen you since โ"
"Yep." She interrupted, knowing exactly what day he was talking about.
"FIND HIM!" Lucifer roared at several demons causing the ground to shake violently as Scott entered Derek Hale's loft โ hoping to find Derek to ask him for some advice but being completely blindsided as he was greeted by something completely different.
"Woah, what's going on?" Scott asked when he noticed the damage in front of him, there were empty bullet shells on the ground and there was broken furniture everywhere โ from which he couldn't tell if it was caused by Lucy or something earlier.
"Why the fuck wasn't anyone watching him?! I was gone for three days! Three fucking days!" She continued. "If Derek is hurt, I will make all of you wish that what we do to the people back home is what I do to you because that is how badly I will descend upon all of you, do you understand me?!" She roared, causing them to flinch. "Now, find him!"
The demons disappeared into black smoke and Scott went over towards the devil. "Lucy, what's wrong?" Scott asked her again, concerned as to what could've gotten her so riled up.
"They took him." Was all she said as she fumbled around, her hands shaking from rage and worry. She was worried about Derek. "Someone took Derek!" She yelled out, throwing the dining table into the wall.
"Woah." Scott said with his hands up. "When did this happen?"
"I have no idea. I was gone for three days, there was a problem down in Hell that needed my attention. I didn't want to leave but he insisted that everything would be okay โ Fucking God dammit! I shouldn't of listened!" She began to explain. "If I knew this would have happened, I wouldn't of left his side."
"Look, we'll figure it out." He tried to calm her down. "We always do. Derek is going to be okay." He could tell Lucy cared for Derek โ a lot. He assumed that she finally figured it out that Derek was her soulmate or that she finally figured out her feelings. He knew that she wasn't as close to him as she was with Stiles, but he hoped that they were close enough for her to confide in him and trust him enough to help her with Derek. "We'll call the pack and we'll look around for leads and go from there."
"Don't bother." Lucy said, causing Scott to halter. "You guys need to heal after everything that's just happened. I'll find him myself." She said shoving Scott away from him and then disappeared.
ย ย "It belonged to the people called the nagual." Lucy explained pointing at the church.
"Shapeshifters?" Scott guessed.
"Were-jaguars." Lucy corrected and Scott's eyebrows raised at the fact that there was more and more about the supernatural he was learning about everyday and now he didn't know were-jaguars were a thing until that moment.
"So Derek and Kate are somewhere in there?" Scott questioned the two girls.
Braeden shrugged. "I don't know." She answered at the same time Lucy said, "Hopefully."
She had demons following every lead and searching for Derek for days now, and they had finally lead her to La Iglesia where they had last seen Kate Argent who was supposedly dead by Peter Hale to the rest of the world and escaped her death with the Calaveras.
She was supposed to end her life by the code of the hunter, and the Calaveras were making sure that she did die by the code. The demons were counting down the days to when she was supposed to arrive to Hell โ they were antsy to deliver her punishment for her sins, but grew disappointed when she did not arrive at the doors of Lucifer's kingdom.
So when a demon spotted her sneaking around the abandoned city of La Iglesia; they knew it was suspicious and to report it to Lucifer right away.
The trio then headed off towards the outskirts of the city, Braeden and Scott only reaching it when night fell as they traveled by Braeden's bike. "Took you long enough." Lucy commented.
"If you find Kate in there, what are you gonna do with her?" Scott asked the two.
"Kill her." Lucy simply answered as Braeden cocked her shotgun.
She wouldn't even hesitate for taking Derek away from her and possibly hurting him. Lucy felt protective and insanely possessive over Derek, maybe it was because she loved him and she hadn't felt like this before โ or maybe it was something else. But either way โ Kate was going to die.
"The Calaveras paid me to bring Kate back to them โ but I'm assuming they won't complain if she gets to them first." Braeden nodded her head at Lucy who winked at her and began walking towards the church building.
"And what happens after that?" Scott asked again as he followed after them.
"Not my problem." Braeden answered.
"You don't care?" He asked the mercenary. He knew that Lucy wouldn't care what happened to Kate, he knew that she would probably do whatever she could to get her hands on the Argent hunter and kill her. She would probably sneak into the Caleveras home to kill her just because she could.
"Do you?" Lucy asked. "Not to be hypocritical and all... but she's a mass murderer."
"You're the devil and she's a mercenary." Scott pointed to the both of them, causing Braeden to look at the girl strangely โ having not known who she was.
"Girl's gotta eat." Lucifer smirked.
"If you were paid enough, would you kill her?" Scott asked Braeden.
Lucy read Braeden's soul and smirked again sensing the greed and the wrath within her as they finally reached the church doors. "If the money was good, I'd kill you." Braeden said to Scott.
"I know she basically just threatened you, but I like her." Lucy stated and pushed open the doors.
As soon as they walked in, they could see that the inside of the church was definitely effected by the earthquake unlike the outside of it. The furniture damaged by rubble and from wear from being unattained for years.
"Have you caught Derek's scent yet?" The mercenary asked.
"Already on it." Lucy stated as she stepped over the rubble, having started searching for his scent the moment they stepped foot in the city.
The two then heard the sound of something roaring in the distance, Scott instinctively holding a protective hand to stop Braeden going further as she wouldn't be able to heal as quick as himself and Lucy.
"What is it?" Braeden asked them.
"There's something else in here." Scott stated.
"Something like what?" Braeden asked again.
"Something not human." Scott answered again, Lucy looked at the girl for her reaction, and snorted when the girl held her gun and rolled her eyes at Scott and kept walking inside the church.
"She's got more balls than you do." She snickered and followed after Braeden, Scott rolling his eyes also at her and continuing on.
They finally reached a doorway that leaded down a tunnel and Scott held the flashlight down into the darkness to show the thousands of cobwebs that were filling it up.
They began to walk down it and Braeden spoke again. "So why didn't you kiss her?" She asked. "Why didn't you kiss your girlfriend?"
"You've got a girlfriend already?" Lucy retorted. "Damn, I really was gone a while."
"You mean Kira?" Scott asked Braeden, ignoring Lucy's comment.
"Whatever her name is." The mercenary said, not really caring for her name.
Scott then became a stuttering mess saying how she wasn't his girlfriend and they weren't there yet โ he then decided to bring him how they hadn't even had sex yet. "Believe me, I noticed." Lucy gagged, it was one thing she sometime despised is when she was able to know when people had premarital sex as it was considered a 'sin' to her father.
"She's not my girlfriend." Scott concluded.
They walked into a new part of the tunnel with large ceilings that was used to store dead bodies that were now skeletons. "So if you die down here, are you gonna regret not kissing her?" Braeden asked. Scott didn't answer and Braeden pursed her lips. "You should've kissed your girlfriend." She stated and walked further in.
Lucy looked at Scott and he held a finger up to tell her to stop talking. "I know, I get it. You like her."
"Took the words right out of my mouth." Lucy sang and followed after Braeden again.
"You look better for someone who's supposed to be devastated by the disappearance of Derek." Scott comments on her good mood remembering her incredibly bad mood when Derek first went missing.
Lucifer sighed with a smile. "I can feel him. He's close." She could feel that he was close to them and they just had to find him and where exactly he was in the church.
They walked into a tighter tunnel and both Lucy and Scott's ears perked when they heard a sound coming from behind them.
They both looked back. "What?" Braeden whispered.
"I just got the feeling that something was behind us." Scott answered.
"You got a feeling that something's behind us, I know something's behind us." Lucifer stated, her eyes switching to black letting her vision become sharper than usual and letting her be able to see further to see the movement in the distance caused by whatever. "I suggest we keep walking โ and make it fast."
Braeden held her gun higher as they kept walking. They then heard growling in the distance. "You guys heard that?" Braeden asked.
"Yep, loud and clear." Lucy cracked her neck as she heard footsteps running towards them. "Get ready." She smirked, excited for the action that was coming their way hearing the sounds grow louder and closer.
Braeden shoved her way in front and fired the gun. "Do you see it?" She asked.
"No, I don't know!" Scott yelled. "I can't see anything!"
Braeden's eyes widened realising what would be coming towards them. "Scott, get behind me!" She ordered the true alpha, she needed to protect him considering he was still a teenage boy and she was the adult โ not really caring about the fact that he was a werewolf.
Lucy was about to prepare to fight the thing coming towards them when Scott roared loudly from behind her, letting the tunnel rumble as rubble fell down around them and they no longer heard footsteps.
He turned back at them, seeing Lucy's disappointed face as she didn't get to let out any anger on the thing. "I think I scared it." Scott said.
"I think you scared everything." Braeden argued. They were supposed be hidden and inconspicuous, and if they didn't know where they were โ they definitely did now.
Suddenly, the wall behind them crumbled and fell down, revealing another section of the tunnel. "What is that?" Scott asked, pointing the flashlight at the symbol carved into the concrete wall.
"Tezcatlipoca." Lucifer answered instantly recognising the symbol, impressed as she hadn't seen a fully intact symbol of it in a very long time. "The nagual jaguar God."
"I think we found Derek." Braeden said cautiously as she turned to face the two supernatural creatures.
Lucy smiled again, feeling him behind the wall and hearing his heartbeat. "Oh, yeah. He's definitely in there alright." She said and instantly punched through the concrete wall to get to him and get him out of there.
Scott flashed the light into the area that was created behind the wall and their smiles dropped at the sight as a hand reached out to them and their eyes completely focused on it.
"What the fuck?" Lucy spat looking at the sight in front of her.
